So if you wanna know all the gritty little details, you can probably just look there. *doesn't feel like typing it just yet* I got those same little dots you did, T89... so they sent me to be "decontaminated" too. o.o; Then I had to go back in the line up (which consisted of 3 people, myself included, by that time). The purple dot things are fading, finally, but I can still see them. (I noticed them after you left, T89 @[email protected]) I'm okay, though. Just a little out of sorts, like I think I already said.

@[email protected] And happy birthday again, lol. Although, I'm sure it was probably the worst one you've ever had. x_X;;

glad your okay, I amy not know you, but a death or something like that is a horrible thing. any news on the ppl who did it?

Cherrim June 15th, 2004 3:58 PM

Oh, there weren't any fatalities. They said that the powder stuff wasn't lethal, it was just irritating.. but that's still scaring me. ><; They told us not to touch our mouth or anything, but before I realized that I might have it, I was doing that. x_x; It may just be me being paranoid of having gotten this.... thing, but my face is all itchy and stuff now. x_x;;

*gets a Coke to make her feel better* <_<

You should stay home tommorow and see a doctor just to be safe. That's what I'm doing.

Chairman Kaga June 15th, 2004 4:24 PM

Can't those loser seniors get put up for life on charges of bioterrorism? I'd certainly charge them with bioterrorism, inciting panic, and other charges (too bad they can't go to jail for being morons)...sorry that happened, especially since it's your birthday.

TRIFORCE89 June 15th, 2004 4:29 PM

I bet this cost the school alot of money too.

Cassie-chan June 15th, 2004 4:40 PM

My goodness! What's the world come to? I'd never go to that school agein, I'd be so scared...

Its one of the better schools. This is actually kinda a first really. The school near where we live (and we were both originally supposed to go) is horrible. Full of violence and drugs and so on.

At least you don't go there...I'm so lucky bad stuff hasn't happened at my school...

TRIFORCE89 June 15th, 2004 4:50 PM

Stuff is an everyday occurance at that other school. People had there arms broken in the beginning of the year at that one.

Chairman Kaga June 15th, 2004 4:59 PM

It's depressing how ignorant and violent some kids can be these days...no one's willing to lay down the law anymore =/

^^NICK^^ v.3.0 June 15th, 2004 7:12 PM

Oh gosh, if this happened at my school, I knowmy evil ***. principal would like, destroy the people would did that stuff. She's evil after all. People need to think about Newton's third law of motion.

Evil Togepi June 16th, 2004 12:02 AM

That's so scary O_o; And rather stupid on behalf of the person/people who did it, I'm glad you're both okay ^^

TRIFORCE89 June 16th, 2004 5:23 AM

According to the news. When and if the people are caught they can be fined and have time in jail. And the substance is Potassium Permanganate.

Cherrim June 16th, 2004 5:32 AM

I'm reading news reports from various websites (some of which spelling our city wrong <_<) and it's pretty cool seeing it in a bunch of places. :O And apparently it's on the radio a lot too.

They'll probably catch the people through the tapes from the video cameras around the school. o.o

Chairman Kaga June 16th, 2004 6:09 AM

Time for a science lesson! (eh, not really...I just googled potassium permanganate)

Potassium permanganate, KMnO4, is a purple crystalline compound with a metallic sheen. It is soluble in water, in acetone and in methanol, but it is decomposed by ethanol.
Potassium permanganate is prepared by fusing manganese dioxide with potassium hydroxide to form the potassium manganate and then electrolysing the manganate solution using iron electrodes at about 60 degC.

Potassium permanganate is widely used as a powerful oxidizing agent, as a disinfectant in a variety of applications, and as an analytical oxidant reagent in redox titrations.

But what senior with an IQ low enough to take part in the prank would know how to make/obtain this stuff? o_O;;

^^NICK^^ v.3.0 June 16th, 2004 8:52 AM

Oh, something happened today, our last day. We were in second period, and we had an evacuation drill. We thought it was just a drill, but after five minutes in the hot sun, we started wondeirng what was happing. The teachers weren't telling us anything, and we were impatient. The heat were blzaing, and after about a half an hour, we walked to a neighboring elemntary school. We stayed there for an hour an a half I think. Then we got word to come back to our school. We ate lunch, and it was a mess. Every student in the school was packed in the cafeteria. The principal told us there was a bomb thread made by an anonymus caller. The police and bomb detection squad and the bomb sniffing dog came. It was hectic, but in the end it was cool because all of my friends were saying they will miss me and each other. I felt wanted.

Cherrim June 16th, 2004 8:55 AM

@[email protected]; Apparently it's available in most high school science labs, so they would have had access to the chemicals. Blah~

That's scary, Nick. ._.; I'd be so freaked if there was a bomb threat... because they barely told us anything yesterday so we all thought it was just... a normal prank and nothing serious. o.o; But a bomb threat? @@;;

TRIFORCE89 June 16th, 2004 9:01 AM

So there was a bomb threat? Did they find an actual bomb?

^^NICK^^ v.3.0 June 16th, 2004 9:06 AM

Yeah, but they didn't find anything. They police, bomb detection people, and the sniffing dogs searched. Nothing, all that waiting in the hot sun, for more than half of the day. Well, I'll never forget that last day of school, ever!

TRIFORCE89 June 16th, 2004 9:15 AM

It just dawned on me that today is the last day of school before exams. And I'm here at home. Ooo I really would've liked to see some of my friends today incase I don't seem them over the summer. Yesterday isn't really the last day I want to remember. And Lightning's at school doing absolutely nothing.

Grade 12s decided it would be fun if they ran havoc on our school. They set crickets loose, one ran around wearing a mask carring a paint ball gun, and to top it off they contaminate our school with something.

We've both been waiting outside for a couple of hours waiting to get chekced if we have whatever it was. I did/do but it was a minor case. Though I'm really worried because the little card I had also said "Major" and "Deceased At" on it. I'm left in the dark, and I have no idea how my friends are, especially Lightning. I really hope she's fine, she is my greatest friend (although I've had so few in my lifetime) and it would kill me if something horrible happened to her.

I'm not kidding either, I'm confident that whatever it was is something that can be serious. My mom informs me that four people went to the hospital, plus I doubt the medical people would be wearing suits and masks if it was safe. It looked like that seen from E.T. Scary stuff.

I'm staying home tomorrow and going to the doctor's. I don't care that I need to pick up my books to study for an exam, my health is more important than my grades. We were outside all squished together, so we were bound to breath something in. What a great birthday this has turned out to be for me so far.

It's funny how these things have the worst timing to happen, isn't it? >>; Anyways, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that on your birthday. =\ Wow, that has never EVER happened at my school, but I have only been in this school for a year, so for all I know, they may do this in our school in the future. oO Anyways, were the grade 12ers aware that they were harming you guys? Because I bet they were just clueless and didn't know it would cause health issues (which still doesn't make it ok), but then again, knowing some of them, they could have been fully aware. oO

TRIFORCE89 June 16th, 2004 11:59 AM

The main health issues were to though who have asma (drat, I've studied life saving I should know how to spell that) and the idiots who decided to put their fingers in their mouth when they saw their hands were purple (Ooo, I bet this tastes good). But I think the 12s were clueless too. I didn't mind the crickets, it was the health scare pandamonium that was scary.

Chairman Kaga June 16th, 2004 12:06 PM

Ah, so it wasn't a germ...there go the bioterror charges ;_;

Come to think of it, this will probably mess up the school for years to come...I bet towards the end of the year every year everyone will probably have mandatory backpack inspections and things like that...they forced us all to have mesh backpacks after the rash of school shootings about 5 years ago and hired cops, which always made me uneasy, especially after a really mean-spirited one chewed me out for saying hello to some kindergartners when I was in 6th grade...he was just looking for an excuse to be mean to a kid -.- These stupid jerks ruin it for the rest of us all the time...no dances because someone brought weed to a dance, no water because someone brought in vodka, stuff like that...

How widespread was the attack, by the way? Did the whole school get hit or just parts of it?

Porygon June 16th, 2004 12:07 PM

Grrr… people these days… I hate the way things have become… I hope when they catch those freaks, they forcefeed them their little powder crap.

TRIFORCE89 June 16th, 2004 12:07 PM

The whole school was on "lock-down" then evacuated. The entire school had to be "decontaminated".
