Focus Punch. The one I use, however, Focus Blast is another option.

I will personaly use this set, Wide lens boosts the accuracy of Focus Blast and Hypnosis, Psychic is a no, it has poor type coverage.

Wide Lens is an absolute must, i'm still used to Subpunching. However, it's Phazon's choice. Your moveset look's good. Use Timid Nature Phazon, and Wide Lens. And the choice of either of our Movesets. Edit: Nooo-noooo No Ice Beam.

Phazon September 15th, 2007 10:58 AM

I'm going with:

Gengar @ Wide lens
Levitate
Timid
252 s.atk 252 spd 4 hp
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Energy Ball
Hypnosis

:)

Thunderbolt is usually used over Energy Ball, but it is still a viable option if you're having trouble with the likes of Swampert.

Swampert. Yeah, but you can always switch out to Starmie with Grass Knot.

Ever heard of McIceGar? Anyways, your set is actually fine, except wide lens as the item, and run timid with 252 EVs in SpA and speed.

I say a bit more different: 240 speed/116 sp.atk/144 hp.

Anti September 15th, 2007 11:17 AM

Meh, that could work, but what is gengar gonna survive? Its defenses are that of a stick...never tried it though, so it could work.

Yeah. Gonna test it out myself. Who knows? Maybe it could actually work pretty smooth/well.

Anti September 15th, 2007 11:20 AM

Well, it just might, but I know for a fact that the standard gengar EVs work, so I'd just use those, to be safe.

If you already have another Pokemon with Hypnosis in your team, then take Energy Ball to eliminate Swampert.

This guy makes an amazing SubPunching Breloom counter >.>
