what happened to my lvl 100 jirachi, latios, kingdra?

One day I decided to play my pokemon ruby for the first time in a long time.

And I was looking through my lvl 100 box and I noticed those 3 beloved pokemon of mine (jirachi, latios, kingdra) were missing!!

Some other pokemon from other boxes were missing as well. No one released them and they weren't traded or anything.

I think the game gets glitchy and deleted them? I dunno... I've had the game for a long time.....

Ayano Katagiri September 18th, 2007 11:15 PM

It depends. Are you certain that nothing's happened to the game since you last played? Like someone may have come along and released a whole lot of Pokemon?

It technically shouldn't get glitchy even after awhile....

pokemon_mistress September 18th, 2007 11:20 PM

Nope. No one released them. No one knows how to operate a GBA in my family lol.

It may have got dusty or something.

xxFrozenFlower September 19th, 2007 4:17 AM

Oh wow... that sounds harsh =( I've had my Ruby for a long time and everything still seems to be in order.
Yeah, I'll guess it has something to do with the cartridge maybe. Good luck on finding out the problem and hopefully fixing it? ^o^

MyNameMeansForest September 19th, 2007 5:57 PM

What if one of your friends who came over tried it? Or your little siblings' friends who decided to play with your game and didn't know what to do? (Seriously, hide your games whenever they come over. I learned the hard way.)
Did you try any cheat devices at all? Might have affected the game.

~RNC~ September 19th, 2007 8:01 PM

Yeah keep them hidden, something like this happened to me once and it really agrivated me on finding out how it happened.

pokemon_mistress September 19th, 2007 11:23 PM

No, my mum doesn't let any visitors to the house. I'm not allowed to have friends over or hang out with my friends. It's been like that all my life, she says it'll get me distracted from school or something.

And none of my friends play GBA.

Also, I never hack, you can't get cheating devices in my country.

I reckon it was just a glitchy game.......

I miss my 3 pokemon!!! :(

Alas you are wrong about that it is just very hard to find them E-bay has plenty of them for under $70 AU

Edit: your mum is mean not to let you hang out with friends or let them come visit you

pokemon_mistress September 19th, 2007 11:41 PM

Yeah I know you can get it in the internet but you can't buy it at shops.

Which is a no-no for me.

No its alright, I can meet them at school. :P

Zet September 20th, 2007 12:00 AM

I found a cheat device for the ps2 at a store if that helps?:p

pokemon_mistress September 20th, 2007 12:14 AM

ps2!! Different console ;)

I mean like AR or something.

Well whatever, I didn't use any cheat device.

However, I did trade with GC games like colesseum and XD and it said in the instruction booklet it can sometimes erase your GBA game if an error occurs. 0_0

One time, an error did occur and I was so scared, I turned the GBA on and it said recovering lost data or something and luckily my file came back on but I'm not sure if this was the time I lost those pokemon.

It could be part of it though, hey?

well on your thing it says that your from aus i can assure you , you can get ar and game sharks and stuff like it

pokemon_mistress September 20th, 2007 12:16 AM

not where I am in australia.

Northern Territory.

And it doesn't matter because I never hacked my game.

Zet September 20th, 2007 12:43 AM

to nosferatu: any cheat device is mainly imported in Australia and that still costs a lot and thats why E-bay is win since it can cost less

Losing lvl 100 pokemon is sad. I have a few, and if one disappeared, I'd have a heart attack.

pokemon_mistress September 20th, 2007 11:18 PM

Yes I know it is!

Especially when 2 were legendaries and one was really strong! :(

Jelo September 21st, 2007 6:13 AM

oh man that happened to me my shiny lati twins went poof!

~Paul.Addicted~ September 21st, 2007 7:29 AM

I would literaly break my GBA if any of my level 100 went. I feel so sorry for you :(

pokemon_mistress September 21st, 2007 9:20 PM

Migrate your pokemon before its too late! :(

Zet September 21st, 2007 10:04 PM

migrating annoys me >=(
i usually keep getting that message saying to adjust your game clock to match the ds clock and then i have to wait 24hours just to migrate

~Paul.Addicted~ September 21st, 2007 10:55 PM

Phew i migrated now i'm safe, come on level 100 Charizard lets play * Get's Burned* XD :)

fattyeater September 27th, 2007 6:19 AM

i got the same thing but my missing pokemon was a hacked mew.because the memory runs on an actual battery i think sometimes when the battery is low it tends to forget.

Bekki September 27th, 2007 12:03 PM

Thats so sad. I would have a fit if any of my Pokemon (level 100 or not) goes missing. At the moment my strongest is my level 85 (I think) Lugia. Yes it was a trade but it took me long enough to open it's heart and if that goes then I would have a brken GBA and be devastated. I feel sorry for you.

hmm weird same sort of thing happened to my friend, but it was right after we did a battle and he doen't care about terminating the link so he just shut of the game and the next thing he knew a couple of his pokemon were gone, and his pokedex was completly wiped execpt for the ones he saw in the link battle... he started over his ruby and everything from then on was fine.

DarkArcz September 28th, 2007 6:13 AM

Hmm...you said YOU never hacked, but can you tell if the pokemon you received, that Jirachi, was hacked? I've heard that hacked Pokemon can screw up your games sometimes....maybe that Jirachi of yours deleted itself out of existence?
