What I never understood about the first cards...
.....why whould they always put levels? It had no point. It was cool that the card company put info on the card about the Pokemon, but why levels?
|
I'm not too sure but I think it was to help distinguish cards. Like say there were 2 different types of Pikachu. One was Lv. 13, one was Lv 24. You could tell which was which and it also showed what moves it would have depending on level. Maybe it was to help people play the games.
I'm not entirely sure, thats just what I think. |
I think so, too. Since different cards have the same name (which I always have thought stupid), they added lv to them. So if someone said Pikachuu Lv.13 you should know which card.

Theres no point of it at all for the older cards. It was just a little extra for it to fit alongside the GB games. A common idea was that the higher the lvl of the card then it would be better than a same named counterpart (not always true).

The levels are for distinguishing different cards with the same name, and nothing more...
