Frosty's team v.1.2

Yay mega-OU power go go! Rate, flame and criticize!
My personaly analyze is offered of each Pokemon... hopefully it'll help pinpoint solutions to problems this team faces.

EV: 116 Hp, 84 def, 252 sp.atk, 56 sp.def
-thunderwave
-thunderbolt
-recover

Anti Jolteon/Lanturn/Vaporeon/Starmie/Lapras ulility Pokemon... thunderwave lead off is always useful.

Strength:
-copy the absorbs to heal
-special sponge quite well, especially with recover
-if paralysized, stealing Marvel Scale = rofl

Weakness:
-Aerodactyl/Crobat screwed unless it's at full hp
-messed by calm minders/stat buffers who has healing power
-weak to Ludicolo
-Unmentionable-B screwed *sighs*

Donphan- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ leftovers {Rank = OU/BL}
EV: 152 hp, 188 atk, 168 def
-earthquake
-rock slide
-roar
-protect
*still in testing

Strength:
-Finally! A decent physical attack sponge
-pseudohazer for the team
-solid physical attacker, with protect to heal off quite a bit with that much hp and def

Weakness:
-Unmentionable S messed
-Unmentionable W messed
-a bit Aerodactyl screwed
-other than that... can't think of any ^^

Vaporeon- [sp.def + / atk -] @ leftovers {Rank = Mega OU}
EV: 116 Hp, 140 sp.atk, 252 sp.def
-wish
-haze
-surf
-ice beam
*looking for another member to be replaced

Strength:
-healer for the team
-hazer
-go mess up other water types
-help special sponging

Weakness:
-unmentionable B screwed
-also screwed by other Vaporeon, Lapras, Poliwrath, Politoed, Quagsire, Ludicolo, Swampert and so on...
-in need of a replacement

Zangoose- [speed + / sp.atk -] @ lum berry {Rank = OU}
EV: 4 hp, 252 atk, 252 speed
-double edge
-quick attack
-brick break
-shadowball

Strength:
-brute force... double edge kills anything without resistance by 50% most of the time
-really the only one who can kill Ludicolo on this team almost
-proud slayer of heracross, dodrio and blaziken
-quick attacker, which is crucial for the team
-kill toxic

Weakness:
-Unmentionable W and Unmentionable S screwed
-Linoone/Aerodactyl/Metagross weakness
-can't even be scratched

Muk- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ leftovers {Rank = UU}
EV: 212 hp, 144 attack, 152 sp.def
-substitute
-focus punch
-hidden power ghost
-sludge bomb
*currently in testing

Strength:
-anti Unmentionable B + Unmentionable S, with a careful design to make substitute capable of enduring a seismic toss (101 hp vs 100 dmg)
-high sp.def and hp allows it to even endure a Gardevoir using psychic
-UU power!

Weakness
-Unmentionable W screwed x_x;
-aerodactyl/any rock type earthquaker screwed
-more weakness to be discovered as testing period progresses

Salamence- [sp.atk + / atk -] @ lum berry {Rank = Mega OU}
EV: 56 hp, 136 def, 176 speed, 140 sp.atk
-dragon dance
-earthquake
-hydro pump
-fire blast/flamethrower (not decided)
*currently in testing

-unmentionable S screwed

"this team is absolutly pothetic... i dont know y i looked into this thread..most dreadful team ive seen in a long time...i hope u can come up with better next time but this is not wat i expected from u."
now thats criticizing.

that was just a joke this team is very good.
but ill put maybe sword dance in zangoose somewhere there*remembers* oh! true zangoose has a low defence so it probably wont last a powerful atk if u make it use swod dance first.

after all this time u finally show us a team other then the worthless seaking i still dont sea any blisseys nor skarmorys in any of ur strength list. may i be mistaken but salamence can beat skarmory with the fire atks(need to go with accuracy) and muk can beat blissy(subtutute first).

as far as that i cant help u more but just to criticize.:D
hope u found this helpful in some way. still cant beleive im(we're) helping u on a team. after all the times u help us, its time we pay back the favor:D

EDIT:forgot to ask but wats "unmentionable S"

Frostweaver June 19th, 2004 10:45 AM

Unmentionable S = A certain bird whose name starts with a S
Unmentionable B = a certain egg whose name starts with a B
Unmentionable W = A certain gaseous substance whose name starts with a W

blah... this team dies to any combined effort of W and B together... very easily too. Plus Raikou weakness and so on... Unmentionable S won't stand there for the fire attack... it'll switch to Unmentionable W to block it, then burn you, then pain split you, then stall there...

=/

stewie&rupert June 19th, 2004 11:47 AM

B, S, W...? oh u mean bli-

y would S- unmentionable S switch to W to take the fire atk. theyd switch to B to absorb it with its higher sp.def. oh now i get it. if they use B u use earthquake and pretty much cut more than half of B. theyll predict that so theyll use W so u cant use earthquake since it levetates. ull have to switch to a psychic but then like alakazam with:
psychic
tpunch
ipunch
fpunch
but then theyll use S so u can use thunder or fire punch to beat S. but theyll switch to B and absorb. ull switch to donphan or salamence and use a physical atk on B but theyll switch again to W/S:P:P
now i know y u hate that team SOOO much. im starting to hate them to:P

Frostweaver June 19th, 2004 12:05 PM

don't forget the 25% dmg by spike every time you try to switch. And now that the new standard Unmentionable B has ice beam, it'll stand there to OHKO salamence. There's also heal bell, and will o wisp/toxic to add on to the pain.

Usually with these 3 there are gengar, raikou and snorlax to make a teamof 6 evil. Regice is evil as well to me, but supposedly according to SF tournament participants, Regice is supposedly easy to kill... but apparently I cannot kill asingle one of them.

stewie&rupert June 19th, 2004 12:18 PM

well with how common brick break, regice is reletivly easy to beat.

frosty y dont u give us the common move sets B, S, W, gengar, snorlax, raikou usually have during these gruelling battles:P ill like to see if u dont mind.

Kairi June 19th, 2004 2:57 PM

For Snorlax you’ll usually see either

Sub
Focus Punch
Return
Shadow Ball

Or

Curse
Rest
Return
Shadow Ball

Frostweaver June 19th, 2004 3:33 PM

well I get my computer with netbattle back, sure... I planned to make something like that in the summer anyway o.o;

Mew9 June 19th, 2004 7:11 PM

heh, heh, heh.....................after all dat critizicism u gave me..............................
neways, y do u hav quick attack on Zangoose? Sorry, but did u miss da low power level? Other than dat, u ruined my fun 'cause i can't find nething else wrong *sigh*

HellishHades June 19th, 2004 7:18 PM

Using Quick Attack with a high Attack stat is better than being finished off by an extremely speedy sweeper (Alakazam, Jolteon, and the like).

Mew9 June 19th, 2004 8:07 PM

u could use the quick claw, and isn't there another, more powerful move dat always attacks 1st?

Frostweaver June 19th, 2004 10:17 PM

extremespeed is stuck on Arcanine, Linoone and Rayqy... plus quick attack is threatening enough. Quick attack is ESSTENTIAL for teams nowadays... they are trying to reversal/flail you with salac berry? well too bad there's quick attack. Regardless of salac or not, quick attack will always come first except for Linoone who also has extremespeed (but if Linoone has both flail and extremespeed, then it's either weak to Gengar or steel/rock types)

Kairi June 20th, 2004 9:18 AM

I just use sandstream and won’t worry about sub/endure, but quick attack and more prominently extreme speed can in fact do a good chunk of health on often speedy but frail Pokémon such as Alakazam and Jolteon.

Vash June 25th, 2004 3:04 PM

and also if your opponent is on his last sliver of health and it's the last pokemon but your speed is lower, juz use quick attack
