The Ratchet and Clank Fan Club

There's no denying that the Ratchet and Clank series has been absolutely fantastic, (except for gladiator...) so now, you get to tell of your fav jokes or fav weapons or just ANYTHING Ratchet and Clank related. (Btw, don't get confused about names, incase you didn't know the american titles are different to the british ones.)

Rules:
Basic forum rules, be nice blah, blah, blah. Oh and don't forget to post often.

Anyone can start a topic as long as the previous one has had at least one reply and if you want, i'll come up with some positions, ya know like vice-owner and stuff but with a R&C theme.

Right so, lets get started, with the basics.

What is your favourite R&C game?

Mine would have to be number two, the introduction of strafing made that game incredible, not to meantion the weapons, abiltiy to upgrade them and just all round greatness.

MUSION October 3rd, 2007 5:25 AM

Hey can I join? The Ratchet and Clank series is easily one of my favourite gaming series ever.

What is your favourite R&C game?
Mine is also the second game, as it had the most improvements added to it than 3 did. Also there is stuff like the space levels where you can pilot your ship, that aren't included in the 3rd.

zaraki October 3rd, 2007 7:56 AM

Your in my friend. Welcome. D'ya wanna be co-owner?

MUSION October 3rd, 2007 8:18 AM

Yes please!

I know you have a PSP, are you going to get Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters?

zaraki October 3rd, 2007 11:53 AM

I think I will when it comes down in price. I don't wanna pay £30 for a game that may not be any good.

MUSION October 3rd, 2007 12:59 PM

Yeah ok.

What were your favourite gadgets from the games?

zaraki October 4th, 2007 5:28 AM

Probably the hydrodisplacer, just because of how ridiculous it was with the amount of water it could pick up, an upgrade could probably do entire oceans.

What's yours?

MUSION October 4th, 2007 8:14 AM

I like the Thermanator, being able to freeze water and also defrost it is cool. I can't help but see a resemblance between it and the Lava/Liquid Nitrogen Gun. Kinda the same thing but one has ammo.

zaraki October 4th, 2007 8:33 AM

What would you say was your favourite in-game movie?

I would have to say its the one with the rainbow afrolizer off R&C 3. That was just too funny!

MUSION October 5th, 2007 2:09 AM

Off the top of my head, I would have to say the one showing the Megacorp Weapons Testing Facility. Where all the tourists there get killed.

zaraki October 5th, 2007 11:32 AM

It's one of the things that makes the game so great, the humour. What would you say is your favourite weapon? Mines probably the suck cannon, it's another part of the games humour and it was just kinda cool, killing by sucking them up, then firing them like rockets. The Rift Inducer is a close second, again just a cool weapon.

Kuro October 5th, 2007 11:50 AM

I think I belong here.

Favourite weapon: N90 Hurricane, Splitter Rifle,
Favourite gadget: Swingshot/Hypershot,
Favourite in-game movie: Courtney Cog's music video, Megacorps Weapons Facility.

I'm a little annoyed that the latest game is only coming out on PS3, whereas I have a Wii. It should stick to PS2.

zaraki October 5th, 2007 11:59 AM

YAY! Finally a new member. Your more than welcome to join my friend. A Wii eh, thats pretty sweet, I have one too. By any chance do you have a PSP, just wondering whether you have Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters? Couldn't agree more with the games stickin' to the PS2. Dude, don't forget to meantion your favourite game.

Welcome Kuro! I agree with this too, as there is no chance of me gettin' a PS3. They should multi-console it.

The Megarocket Launcher and the Plasma Coil. The sniper weapons too.

zaraki October 6th, 2007 12:09 PM

What do you guys think about the Captain Quark videogames? I quite liked them as they added more to the game. It's a cool idea having a game within a game.

MUSION October 6th, 2007 1:24 PM

Yeah I like 'em too. I really like how bigheaded Qwark is in the videos and how the narrator dude complains. The 'robot pirate ghost' one was probably my fave.

Myoko-chan October 6th, 2007 1:31 PM

I play Ratchet and Clank, I would like to join the club.

And about the Qwark games, they are kinda funny especially because the cheat code that Al tells you works.

MUSION October 6th, 2007 1:36 PM

Oh yeah I forgot about that. I thought that was cool and clever.

zaraki October 6th, 2007 1:51 PM

Welcome Angel. Your in! Just don't forget to try and post often. That's a pretty interesting point you bought up, I can't remember that though, its been too long since i've played number 3...

Judging from your av and sig you obv like Bleach as well as R&C? Owning a wii also? You rock Angel!

What about the other cool stuff the R&C programmers did with the museum which i THINK has been in all the R&C games so far. I seem to remember standing on a fountain at a certain time and then going to the insomniac museum in one game. That too rocked!

MUSION October 6th, 2007 1:53 PM

Yeah the Insomniac Museum was a really nice feature. It's great getting to actually USE the things they left out of the main game instead of just seeing them in a 'Scrapbook'.

Yes I like Bleach, and I don't have a Wii, I have a DS to do my pokemon battles.

Meh, I wish I had a PSP to play Size Matters, also did anyone find Deadlock's storyline not as intresting as the other ones?

MUSION October 6th, 2007 3:16 PM

It was pretty dull. I guess they were low on ideas or something.

zaraki October 7th, 2007 12:24 AM

Yeah it was pretty dull, most of the dullness in Deadlocked (gladiator), I thought came from all the loading between the planets. There were some fresh new ideas to make up for the crappy storyline I guess. I quite liked all the arena fighting, landstalker parts and other stuff like the robots made to protect you. Gonna have to play all the R&C games again soon to get my knowledge back up to scratch...

Still, a DS, that rocks. You should have a battle with MUSION.

MUSION October 7th, 2007 2:08 AM

Yeah I liked those robots too and that you could customise them.

WHOA! I'm still workin' through the game. Shouldn't be long though, gonna beat Volkner when my squad all reach Lv70.

deco11 October 17th, 2007 11:38 PM

i reckon that the games have gone downhill from, locked and loaded, going commando.
i beat challenge mode 7 times.

can I join?
