Haha at nobody knowing who Godfather was. But I love the man. I mean c'mon, it's the HOOOOOOOO TRRRRAIN for cripe's sake. |
RVD! RVD! Did you here the crowd pop when he came out! OMG
|
I personally liked that battle royal, in which IRS rung out Sargent Slaughter to pick up the win, only to be bought out by Ted DiBiase, the million dollar man. That was classic.
(I also enjoyed Trish and Lita teaming up on Jillian Hall :)) |
My 2 favourite parts of the event was the Evolution Reunion & Family Portrait- Vince n Mae Young! when Steph kissed HHH!
lol it's so funny how HHH tries to keep the "SECRET" between him n Steph |

You guys are seriously spoiling a whole lot of stuff for me, they air RAW the day after you guys here in Australia, so I'll be watching it tomorrow T.T I hope the Hogan vs 3:16 WM24 match rumour is true, hey I mean come on, who wouldn't want that? XD |
Quote:
And I've been watching the vids on the website, cos I can't get Sky Sports anymore. And what stuck out for me was, during Hogan's thanking the fans, he slipped in a "never say never". Hogan vs. SCSA at WM24 could happen, bus, like has been discussed in the thread, it's a question of SCSA's medical conditions. |
Did anyone else see how ripped Steve Blackman still is? He isn't that young anymore either. Damm.
RVD looked quite good also. We got to see Big Dick Johnston to...He is funny. LOL. |

And RVD looked good as well. But dayum, my sources failed me with the RVD thing. Congrats to WWE for keeping it under wraps though (if they did indeed ink him to a new, long term deal. The only other possibility I could think of is his old contract still isn't quite up yet and he just wanted to come back for the XV show. But I doubt that). I was really happy to see a lot of the older superstars from the attitude era there. I liked that they gave Trish and Lita both a proper sendoff now (if they are actually staying retired) considering that they are actually friends and I'm sure they wouldn't want their last encounter to be remembered as them ahting each other's guts. Anyone notice though that Trish looked better than when she lefy but Lita actually looked like she gained a little weight? I guess the rock singer life is treating her good. I thought the Greatest RAW Superstar segment was pretty funny though. I liked how Austin helped him up and then stunnered him. Predictable, but still funny. But here is my only gripe of the show. The lack of The Great One, the Icon, The People's Champ, The Rock! It really aggravates me that he can't take off one damn night of his busy schedule of making box office flops to give back to the company that gave him so much. I mean, WWE helped to shape him into who he is today, and he owes his current situation to them. I lost a lot of respect for him knowing that Hulk Hogan can come back despite supposedly being on bad terms with the company, Trish and Lita can manage coming back, half of the wrestlers of the '90s can come back and yet he finds it somehow too hard to tell his producer that he wants to take one night off to go and celebrate the anniversary of the TV show that he helped to make what it is today and also made him what he is today. I mean, he didn't even film a titantron clip to play. But enough of my ramblings on Rocky, it was still the best RAW I've seen in months. On a 1 to 10 I would give it a 9 without thinking twice. |
My fav. wwe superstars are jeff hardy, bobby lashley, batista, matt hardy, CM punk, and chris jericho!!!!!
|
wolfie, I completely agree with every single point you make there. I was both shocked and dissapointed that The Rock didn't return. He was one of my heroes as a kid, and like you say, he wouldn't be where he is today without the WWE. I hope he makes a return one day. He is one of the best wrestlers of all time, makes a fantastic face OR heel, and as I said, one of my childhood heroes. I wouldn't have such an interest in it today without him.
As for Hulk Hogan, as I stated in one of my posts above, he slipped in a "never say never" in after he helped Hornswoggle. This could mean two things. Either he has kissed and made up with the McMahons, and is planning a return, or something else that I've read about. I'll try and find the source for you guys, but he told a British newspaper, "The Sun", that he was currently funding a set-up of his own wrestling federation. |
Oh, I don't know how I forgot about my biggest mark of the night Monday!
GILLLLLLLBERG! GILLLLLLLBERG! GILLLLLLLLLLLBERG! I was practically peeing my pants when he came out with the sparklers and everything. Brought me back to the glory days of WWE vs. WCW. |
New QUESTION:
Part One: We saw the one time return of RVD, do you think he will be re-signing soon? Part Two: We see lots of wrestlers being hurt and burned out. Do you think it is time for Vince to give either the wrestlers a few months off per year, or do less shows? |
Quote:
2: I think wrestlers do that sometimes anyway. Obviously earlier this year Taker was hurt, but I think that he takes off from time to time. I honestly think that this year was just an anomaly as far as injuries go. You don't usually see that many guys being out of action in one year. The WWE's road schedule is intense and guys know that before they sign on so I don't see guys being interested in taking breaks all that often. They know what they're getting into when they sign on with the 'E. If someone wants a light schedule they should sign on with TNA where they don't have to travel. |
I has a few questions:
1. Why in the hell did the Cruiserweight title become discontinued? 2. Why are they pushing the Morrison/Miz Tag champion thing so much? It was better when they were contenders for the ECW belt in my opinion. 3. What's gonna happen to Charlie Haas? Shelton was pretty much the whole reason Hass came back, but he got transfered to the land of extreme. 4. Why is Khali stuck in mid/bottom card? That' pretty much all that's on my mind... |

i got question, um do u think I should order Armageddon today? or wait for No Way Out? I'm only going to order 3 PPVs, 2 of them are Royal Rumble n WrestleMania but 1 of them is either No Way Out or Armageddon, so...

2. Because they don't have enough talent to carry a brand, even if that brand is ECW. They're not half the wrestlers or entertainers that a guy like Punk is, and they made an easy fix for that by slapping the tag titles on them. 3. I have a strange feeling that Haas may be waiting out his contract to leave. That's the only explanation I could think of for them breaking up WGTT and sending Benji to ECW. 4. Because he's very limited in his wrestling skills and his novelty is beginning to wear off. Once he got pinned for the first time his mystique went away, and now he's just another crappy monster like Mark Henry and BDV. I most certainly wouldn't say that he's "stuck" in the mid-card, it's where his limited skill set and charisma belongs. |
And so, the Rated R Era has once again begun on Smackdown. Good thing too. I didn't want Batista to remain champ. Edge makes a Good World champion.
|
So the main event of ECW is *shock* not including BDV, Mark Henry or Kane! I never thought I'd see the day.
|
So then, JBL is returning to Raw as a competitor. And it looks like the RKO vs. Y2J saga is over already. Now it's JBL vs. Y2J and RKO vs. Jeff. Good stuff?

Well, the way I see it, JBL is most likely going to have a feud with Ron Simmons, his old APA partner. The Y2J Vs. JBL may happen at WM24, but probably not before JBL Vs. Ron Simmons.
As to Wolfie's comment, I have to say I agree to a certain degree. Yes, he is out of shape, but JBL has always been large. 6'8, 300+ pounds. Not very many people that can size up to that, though isn't saying much for a guy who was beaten by Rey Mysterio so easily. JBL has always been a good grappler in my memory, which coupled with his size can spell trouble for a lot of people. But that'll only get you halfway. JBL needs to focus on his mat skills. If he improves those, and throws in a few arials here and there, I'd say he's on his way. |
Quote:
And JBL most definitely isn't in even remotely the same shape he used to be in. Look back to his acolyte days versus his last run and you'd see what I mean. He was ddefinitely never the most in-shape guy, but he was certainly less defined during his last run as opposed to his younger days. |
