Wow, I'm in shock lol. I'm not used to seeing you typing letters in lower case.

Taunting Tyranitar completely owns Mewtwo. I used a Tyranitar along with a Raichu to catch Mewtwo in Fire Red. I sent out Raichu first so that it can paralyze Mewtwo and then switch to Tyranitar.
Once Mewtwo is paralyzed, I made Tyranitar use Taunt. That way, Mewtwo won't be able to use Recover or Safeguard leaving it with 2 attacks left. Psychic which is Mewtwo's most deadly attack doesn't do any damage to Tyranitar because it is part Dark. The only move left that Mewtwo can use is Swift which barely did damage to my Level 55 Tyranitar. I just let Sandstorm do the damage to Mewtwo while I threw Ultra Balls at it. Caught it with the 4th Ultra Ball. It was that easy. |
I caught it...not like it means much. Just chuck ultra balls at it, you eventually catch it :/ Red version and leafgreen
|
who hasnt caught a mewtwo its so popular and yet i dont use it i hate ubers
|
It's not that hard to get Mewtwo. Although I didn't anticipate the Sevii Islands task getting in the way the first time I played FR/LG. I've got um, three Mewtwos I think, each caught with either a Ultra Ball or Timer Ball.
|
I've caught Mewtwo in all my previous games of Pokemon Fire Red, exceot I've kept erasing the files.
Mewtwo was surprisingly easy for me to catch. Now Articuno is a different story... |
I cought mewtwo in firered with a ultra ball in one hit I think.

Here is my story
Back in my red GBA game I caught Articuno with a Masterball. This was before i knew Mewtwo was in Red. Anyway as I progressed and beat the pokemon league I found out about the unknown dungeon. I bought a hundred ultraballs and caught so many pokemon like chancy. I progressed through and found Mewtwo. He obliterated all my pokemon but Articuno. I attempted to catch him so many times but he kept breaking out. Untill I used Blizzard with Articuno and froze him. Then I used a masterball. It was eventually caught. I cheered for hours because of that. I still have that save on my red game Anyway I used him to beat the pokemon league. It was so easy. But the pokemon league in red was so much harder then Johto and hoenn leagues |
In Fire Red, the only game I've progressed far enough to catch one (other than Red, which you've said doesn't count), yes. It took me a few Ultra Balls and a bit of patience, but I managed through a stroke of luck. (I meant to use a Timer Ball on it, so I just kept chucking Ultra Balls to pass the time, and I wound up snagging it with an Ultra at half HP.)

I've caught a Mewtwo only two times. I really don't like psychic Pokemon and I'm not really all that intrested in legendaries. =/ |
i caught mew2 w/ a pokeball, twice
