But from a technical view, since the game developers had intended for you to get the otherwise unobtainable through the means they have themselves provided (multiple games and trading), using AR to get the Kanto starters, for example, is an alternate, but non-endorsed (by the developers) way of getting them without buying FRLG or finding other people who have them. Hence the cheating label.

I say, the less you use AR, the less likely you'll get labeled a cheater in the first place. You can cheat all you want, and no one will stop you. You'll just have to be aware that there are people who refuse to deal with anyone who even owns an AR, or at least is known to use one.

true true... but hey.. i got my reasons....some people will accept...some people will not.....circle of life.

I will only use an AR for getting perfectly LEGAL but hard to get movesets(Seismic toss on Blissey)and for TMs/Money/Exp hacks for link battles when I dont have access to wi-fi.
