Ruby/Sapphire Dream Teams
OK, I'm currently playing Ruby and Sapphire and I'm starting Pokemon teams in both. In Ruby, I am about to face the Elite 4 and in Sapphire I am about to earn my third badge. But I kind of need help with my teams--I need to see if they are good enough to make it through the game... I'm going to post my teams here and what I want them to be like. If you have any suggestions, please post them here...
My Ruby team: Gardevoir Level: 40 Attacks: Psychic, Flash, Calm Mind, Shock Wave (can't replace with Thunderbolt yet) Ability: Trace Item: Magnet *I will add Hypnosis and Dream Eater somewhere when Gardevoir reaches level 60... Flygon Level: 45 Attacks: Dragonbreath, Crunch, Rock Tomb, Earthquake Ability: Levitate Item: Hard Stone (will replace with Blackglasses soon...) *Should Flygon learn a Flying attack? Should it learn Dragon Claw instead of Dragonbreath? Delcatty Level: 39 Attacks: Secret Power, Sing, Ice Beam, Attract Ability: Cute Charm Item: Silk Scarf (replace with Nevermeltice?) *Should it learn Water Pulse? Sceptile Level: 39 Attacks: Cut, Screech, Leaf Blade, Pursuit Ability: Overgrow Item: Miracle Seed *I gotta replace Pursuit and Screech with something... any suggestions? Starmie Level: 39 Attacks: Recover, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Surf Ability: Illuminate (wish it had something else...) Item: None yet... *What item should it have? Ninetales Level: 40 Attacks: Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray, Dig, Flamethrower Ability: Flash Fire Item: Soft Sand *Should it keep Will-O-Wisp or learn something else? My Sapphire Team: Pichu Level: 15 Attacks: Charm, Iron Tail, Sweet Kiss, Thunderbolt Ability: Static Item: Soothe Bell (will replace with something...) *Unless I find a Light Ball, any item suggestions? I personally like Pichu's attacks now... Roselia Level: 16 Attacks: Absorb, Growth, Poison Sting, Stun Spore Ability: Natural Cure Item: Miracle Seed *I will change Roselia's attacks... maybe it can have Magical Leaf, Grasswhistle, Sludge Bomb, and... fourth attack? Marshtomp Level: 16 Attacks: Tackle, Bide, Mud Shot, Water Gun Ability: Torrent Item: None currently... *The dream moveset is Surf, Earthquake, Thunderbolt if it can learn it, and... fourth move? I might attach Soft Sand... If it can learn Thunder, I'll teach it Rain Dance... Bagon Level: 15 Attacks: Leer, Headbutt, Cut, Ember Ability: Rock Head Item: None; wish it had Charcoal... *The dream moveset is Flamethrower, Fly, Dragon Claw, and... fourth move? Any move/item suggestions before it learns those attacks? Shuppet Level: 14 Attacks: Shadow Ball, Night Shade, Curse, Spite Ability: Insomnia Item: None, hope I find a Twistedspoon or Spell Tag *I'll replace Night Shade or Spite with Psychic. Should it keep Curse? Can it learn Mean Look? Meditite Level: 14 Attacks: Hidden Power, Calm Mind, Confusion, Mind Reader Ability: Pure Power Item: Quick Claw *I'll replace Confusion with Psychic later, and Hidden Power with Hi Jump Kick... I don't know... is that dream moveset OK, and any suggestions until it learns those attacks? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In case you were wondering, in Sapphire, I started out by trading in five eggs from Ruby, and that would be my team, plus Mudkip. The parents had moves that were passed on to the babies... Any team suggestions? You can rate one team or the other, or both... |
it's a LOT easier for us to post us your dream team... post it out at lvl 100 with all the moves that you wnat them to learn, and we'll rate that instead. Then, once you decided what you're aiming for, start working your way towards that goal. It's a lot easier that way, plus on top of that this situation won't occur to you then if you ask rates before you even start the game:
"What? I can't get earthquake on this Pokemon i used the TM already and I have a male Pokemon! So another moveset please!" or "But then I have to re-train my lvl 100 Pokemons again? I'm too lazy for that..." ^_^; |
Ruby team:
Gardevoir Level: 40 Attacks: Psychic, Flash, Calm Mind, Shock Wave (can't replace with Thunderbolt yet) Ability: Trace Item: Magnet *I will add Hypnosis and Dream Eater somewhere when Gardevoir reaches level 60... - Reflect would be nice and forget Hypnosis and Dream Eater. Shell Bell as item Flygon Level: 45 Attacks: Dragonbreath, Crunch, Rock Tomb, Earthquake Ability: Levitate Item: Hard Stone (will replace with Blackglasses soon...) *Should Flygon learn a Flying attack? Should it learn Dragon Claw instead of Dragonbreath? - Flamethrower is sweet and get Dragon Claw on that guy. Leftovers as Item Delcatty Level: 39 Attacks: Secret Power, Sing, Ice Beam, Attract Ability: Cute Charm Item: Silk Scarf (replace with Nevermeltice?) *Should it learn Water Pulse? - Delcatty has the yery useful Heal Bell. Maybe get Chesto Rest Sceptile Level: 39 Attacks: Cut, Screech, Leaf Blade, Pursuit Ability: Overgrow Item: Miracle Seed *I gotta replace Pursuit and Screech with something... any suggestions? - Toxic and Protect are good. Maybe stick DRagon Claw on him. Leftovers as Item Starmie Level: 39 Attacks: Recover, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Surf Ability: Illuminate (wish it had something else...) Item: None yet... *What item should it have? - Shell Bell as Item Ninetales Level: 40 Attacks: Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray, Dig, Flamethrower Ability: Flash Fire Item: Soft Sand *Should it keep Will-O-Wisp or learn something else? |
OK sorry... This is my first time posting a team... OK, I'll repost my Sapphire team as a dream team, with all Pokemon at level 100, so here it is... Oh and thanks for the Ruby team rating so far! I won't post a dream team for Ruby, since I'm already quite far there... In Sapphire, though, I haven't used any TM's on my Pokemon, and they're all about level 16...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Raichu Moves: Attract, Iron Tail, Sweet Kiss, Thunderbolt Item: Metal Coat Roselia Moves: Magical Leaf, Sludge Bomb, Grasswhistle, ??? Item: Leftovers? *Should its fourth move be Synthesis, Aromatherapy, or something else? Item suggestions? Swampert Moves: Earthquake, Protect, Ice Beam, ??? Item: Nevermeltice *Should its fourth move be Surf or Muddy Water? Salamence Moves: Dragon Claw, Fly, Flamethrower, ??? Item: Charcoal(?) *Fourth move/item suggestions? Banette Moves: Curse, Psychic, Rest, Shadow Ball Item: Focus Band or Chesto Berry *I'm not sure about Rest... should it learn Faint Attack instead? Medicham Moves: Recover, Hi Jump Kick, Psychic, Calm Mind Item: ??? *Item suggestions? |
-since this is gameboy, I won't suggest promotional moves or HP
Raichu: iron tail MUST go... it's very useless. Replace attract with thunderwave (attract works sometimes, and thunderwave works almost all the time), and iron tail with wish or light screen. Use lum berry. Use a speed plus/attack down nature. EV on sp.atk and speed. *NEVER use 1.1 boosters, with a few very exceptional cases such as Kyogre Water Spout and so on* Roselia- [sp.atk + / sp.def - (might as well)] @ quick claw EV: atk, sp.atk -magical leaf/giga drain -sludgebomb -aromatherapy -shadowball Excellent defensive stalling moves, with one of the worst defense in game... what's gamefreak thinking? Swampert- [???/???] @ leftovers EV: anything but speed -surf (surf > muddy water unless 2vs2) -ice beam -earthquake -protect/roar Swampert is one of those who can be superior if you can manage to control its EV, which I cannot do. Salamence- [sp.atk or atk + / the other attack -] @ lum berry EV: anything -dragon claw/dragon dance -fire blast/flamethrower/brick break/rock slide -hydro pump/aerial ace -crunch/earthquake lol... looks so messy. It can be a special, physical or mix sweeper, and it does a darn good job of either. Banette- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ salac/quick claw EV: anything -shadowball -return -knock off/will o wisp -destiny bond Medicham- [speed + / sp.atk -] @ salac EV: atk, speed -reversal -substitute -psychic -rock slide Psychic for evil evil weezings |
