Team Help

Hi guys

I just need a little guidance with my team here it is

Empoleon Lv. 83
Surf
Hydro Cannon
Drill Peck
Ice Beam

Groudon Lv. 83
Eruption
Flamethrower
Solarbeam
Earthquake

Lugia Lv. 79
Waterfall
Fly
Psychic
Body Slam
(wating 4 aeroblast here)

Tyranitar Lv. 66
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Thunder Fang
Crunch

Dialga Lv. 70
Draco Meteor
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Flash Cannon

Here's where I have a question. Should my sixth be Venusaur or Sceptile?
Here they both are:

Venusaur Lv. 67
Frenzy Plant
Earthquake
Petal Dance
Rock Climb

Or

Sceptile Lv. 45
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
X-Scissor
Leaf Blade

Thanks all help appreciated!!

I do not have DP, but I do know Sceptile and Venusaur. I personally would say you should go with Sceptile, I know Venusaur has nice def rating. But also has added weaknesses, like the over commonly used Psychic types.

The other weaknesses they will share for the most part, except Ground. Sceptile's speed helps out alot, if you had it as an Adamant nature would help as well. Since all your attacks you have are physical, raising attack and lowering Spatk would make no nevermind.

Thanks a bunch!!

What about the rest of my team?

first off... I hope those ubers are there for fun\in game\PBR\not battling here.

for sweeping, I am a bigger fan of Sceptile, better moveset, better speed... just not as durable, BUT..
Venusaur can be more durable, even meaner with the help of leech seed\ingrain, more capable of taking a hit.

However, either way, you've got to work with a lot of weakness on both of 'em...
(Venusaur) Fire, Ice, Flying, Psychic versus (Sceptile) Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug

Because of Sceptile's speed... I'd rather go for him since he's got a better chance at landing the first hit... yours has a decent supereffective coverage, as well.

PS (wrong forum!)

Milke October 25th, 2007 6:30 AM

Thanks! Which forum should this go in?

Is there anything I should change with the rest of my team?

Ash&pikachuarethebest October 25th, 2007 7:58 AM

Here is my view changes in bold:
Empoleon Lv. 83
Surf
Hydro Cannon
Drill Peck
Ice Beam
This is pretty good even tho it has 2 water type moves
Groudon Lv. 83 Hold Item: Leftovers
Earthquake
AncientPower
Solarbeam
FireBlast

Lugia Lv. 79
Waterfall
Fly
Psychic
Body Slam
(wating 4 aeroblast here)

Sableye Lv66: Held Item: Leftovers
Calm Mind
Faint Attack
Confuse Ray
Moonlight
This pokemon because you already have a ground type so if you want a dark type this is the best one because of it being ghost type aswell so it has very little weaknesses.

Dialga Lv. 70: Hold Item: Shell Bell
Draco Meteor
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Flash Cannon
This one is a good choice it is sterdy i would give it a shell bell because it has great defence and special defence so it can take hits and reheal itself almost every turn.

Milke October 25th, 2007 8:19 AM

Thanks, but the Tyranitar is like a clean-up, killing ghost, water, flying, fire, electric, and has a good normal crunching attack. Even though Groudon is ground type, Tyranitar is Dark and Rock Type. Groudon needs both Flamethrower and Eruption because Eruption only works with a lot of Hp. Ancientpower is a good idea, I will seriously consider it. Sableye? No way! There's tons of better ghosts, and Tyranitar totally rules!!!! Thanks again for the hold items, I'm wondering if Lugia should be replaced.

Thanks a bunch!!!

Ps. Edit-Thanks for the compliments!!

Shiraishi October 25th, 2007 12:02 PM

I'm gonna be blunty honest here, this team is fail. You are using ubers which are banned in competive play. Special attacking Groudon is no, Fly is stupid, Frenzy plant is ridiculous.. I can't help with ubers. Make a proper standard team and you'll see better ratings. I give 1/10.

Magmortified October 25th, 2007 12:38 PM

Not to mention that two Surfs will do more damage than one Hydro Cannon can do. I guess Stealth Rock/Grass Knot would be a workable replacement.

Creepy. I JUST said that in his other thread...

He needs to see this. >_>;

Milke October 25th, 2007 1:12 PM

I did! Thanks for the bluntness!

What exactly is an uber, anyway?

Why aren't they allowed here?

Nacon October 25th, 2007 1:16 PM

in a lot of the competitive play on this forum, people state that they don't want to face legendaries and other types of uber pokes... by uber it means very high overall stats as well as a versatile moveset.... do you not get frustrated when facing a Mewtwo?

or a Wobuffet that knows encore?

Don't forget abilities. Wobbuffet wouldn't be so scary without Shadow Tag.

Milke October 25th, 2007 1:22 PM

Okay, but this team isn't for this site. It's 4 battling my friends and Tyranitar and Sceptile are for multi battle battle tower. Also, I can't see why drill peck is better than stealth rock or roar.

Shiraishi October 25th, 2007 1:37 PM

Ubers are banned in every single pokemon fan site you will ever see :/

Milke October 25th, 2007 4:17 PM

Okay Siraishi, I made a new team for online non'uber sites.

Replace Groudon and Lugia with Blaziken and Staraptor. Here they are.

Blaziken, Lv. 50

Impish Nature

Hp 165
Atk 145
Def 94:/
Spatk 119 :)
Spdef 94
Spd 107

Moves:
Stone Edge
Aerial Ace
Brick Break
Flamethrower

Staraptor, Lv. 57

Adamant Nature

Hp 180
Atk 115
Def 72
Spatk 72
Spdef 85
Spd 142

Thnks all help liked!!

Ps. I KNOW I have to level up and define uber pokemon exactly.

Iceman3k October 25th, 2007 5:09 PM

Fixed it up.

You can explain Wobbuffet, but I'll do Manaphy.

Manyphy has great stats, and Htdration + Rest=Full Restore.

luke October 25th, 2007 5:14 PM

Shadow Tag + Encore + Mirror Coat or Counter depending on the situation. Plus an insanely high HP. there you go.

sims796 October 25th, 2007 5:15 PM

Thanks. I was feeling lazy.

luke October 25th, 2007 5:19 PM

No problem. I love the Uber Metagame. I suggest trying it to everyone.

airconditioning October 25th, 2007 5:27 PM

KyuberRuler, have you ever heard of EVs and Natures? They're one of the most important factors in any battle, and unless you EV train Pokemon with proper Natures, your team won't go past newb teams that don't EV train either.

Eos Aduro October 25th, 2007 6:06 PM

Yeah no EVs every Pokemon fails at well, EVERYTHING!

Milke October 26th, 2007 3:22 AM

Yes, I know all about Ev training. But I'm not gonna just start over my game for better stats adn natures!!!! Thanks for the info on ubers!! IS wynaut really an uber? To bad for me Dialga is one:( I need to know if a well trained Blaziken will help my team, or if a different fire type or fire/ground or ground type with fire moves should be used instead. Blaziken is virtually Infernape, except he gets brave bird.
