That Poké-Power is phenomenal. Good thing too, and you'd better have a good ability to flip a coin, because 90HP and a x2 Weakness is awful. Rainbow Wing is amazing too, if, like, you have three of each type of Basic Energy in your deck.

Is it usable though? In Pre-Releases, this will rule the roost (no pun intended, I'm very aware of the fact that Ho-Oh isn't a chicken. Though it'd be funny).

Modified: 6/10
Limited: 10/10 (If you get it, USE IT!)

Probably by way of Pokémon-ex being removed from the Diamond & Pearl TCG sets. :P

Dogar The Brave October 30th, 2007 3:31 PM

wot??

when were they removed???

Forci Stikane October 30th, 2007 3:37 PM

Hmm...that power is certainly useful, but if your opponent has Empoleon or something out that's going to keep OHKOing it anyway, you're not going to have much reason in keeping it in. The attack helps offset this by being able to OHKO it right back, yes, but then you're each essentially picking up a Prize card each turn, so...best if you're in the lead anyway and good in coin flips (or just not facing any Water-types).

Oh, and let's not forget the clear and obvious synergy with Garchomp. Really, a colorless deck has just become even easier to use than it was before.

8/10

So much for you being a "master of Pokemon" eh?

"Pokemon in general" would still include the TCG, silly. Besides, what's so "outside the box" about it? Damage, attacks, weaknesses, resistances, evolution...looks pretty Pokemon-ish to me.

still.. my dark charazard card would totally kill that ho-oh

Yeah, if Dark Charizard was even allowed anymore. Of course, there's still Ho-Oh's Poke-Power to keep it alive and promptly kill it with just 3 or 4 Energies attached (even less if your DC was already wounded, as would likely be the case).

Now, um......in the words of King Shuckle, "how about giving it an actual rating?"

Dogar The Brave October 30th, 2007 3:50 PM

uhm

...No, you just need to follow the rules:

As far as Dark Charizard, ALL of the old cards were cycled out of official play a long time ago...

Thank you, Icha, for maintaining the law. Heh.

The power reminds me of Rocket's Moltres' Rebirth ability, yet better. And Rainbow Wing is as insane as always.

9/10. Yep.

What the heck...?

A basic with a x2 weakness, and an only attack costing 4 (different types of) energy... Just not worth it, even with the power in effect, since there are much easier ways of doing 20 for each energy (Dusclops ex, Crawdaunt ex, etc.). And with it being a basic, you can't use Boost energy to increase the damage (it won't count anyway since it's not a basic energy)...

Anyway, it does have the potential to do up to 120 (or 160 if M/D are basic now), but for the cost, it's just not worth it...

5/10 - too costly to use in early game, and too weak to use in late game.

Jaimes November 1st, 2007 3:16 PM

I cant see this being played at all. No offence. The power is pretty decent but its attack cost isnt and neither is its weakness. Empoleon or piplup would slaughter it for that matter and it's power is still 50-50.
Also 4 energy? and they have to be basic so no Castform. Its attack is just way to slow. I would play another card ¬_¬
