Speed 0 - 4

Sp. Atk:10 - 14

I was planning on doing this with it.

Relaxed Nature
252 HP / 114 DEF / 144 SP.Def
- Ice Beam / Explosion
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock

Is this good enough to use ? I have NO experience what so ever with using this previously, so advice on the moveset would be appreciated.

With those IV's, it's best to to have Explosion with it's Base Damage to be very useful. It can be a great Claydol with those IV's...But I wouldn't make it a attacking pokemon.

Like it or not, you'll need more offense. Ice Beam & EQ won't have that kick you need.

I dont really require, Ice Beam anymore.

Ive decided on EQ and Explosion, to make up for that lack of power, for STAB and well BOOOM-NESS XD

You really shouldn't lose Ice Beam... Gengar tends to be a common block for Rapid Spins, and with your moveset Gengar gets a free switch. If anything, run Psychic, since it gets STAB and hits both Gengar and Heracross for super effective damage. Generally Ice Beam is better, though, for type coverage.

That is an awesome Idea. But the Rapid Spin, In my opinion is not a good move. Because it is such a weak move. And Claydol wouldnt suit it. Id go with replacing it with Iron Defense. Because with all that attack you may need some def. ya know what im sayin?

Look, thats it. STOP POSTING ADVICE. You are in NO position to give advice, if you can't even see the reason people use Rapid Spin.

It is for blowing away Stealth Rock & all forms of Spikes, with can cripple a team. NOT for the base 20 attack power.

lol

Another great quote I should put in my sig.

As sims said, it's for clearing spikes/SR, a very common strategy. claydol can't learn iron defense :/ those moves are bad anyways since a critical hit drowns you.

In fact, claydol isn't any good without rapid spin IMO.

Thanks, hmm Psychic, well it doesnt have the best type coverage, however it gets STAB which im in dire need of due to the rather average ivs in offense and as you said Gengar loves to come in and block Rapid Spin. It also 2hkos Heracross I believe which is good so it doesnt Megahorn me to death.....

@ Houndoom666 lol it has base 20 power im not going to use Rapid Spin for sweeping am i ??!!

Are you crazy, Dark?! With a Choice Band, & if you are Baton Passed three Swords Dance, & if you get a critical hit, you might possibly do 25-30% damage to a Weavile using Rapid Spin! Think of the sweeping possibilities! Of course, Weavile must have its DEF reduced...

Still, you need more offense. I might have one, lemme check.
