My First Team Using Frosty's Strategy! Pleaz help!!!
Well, i took the 20 minutes to read his strategy, and well, here goes. I really could use help cause its hard to adjust, though.
Latias (sp. sweeper) @??? (non-uber) Dragon Claw Psychic Ice Beam Dragon Dance Sandslash (physical sweeper) @scope lens Return (in Netbattle does it assume that he automatically likes u as much as he can? If not, slash) EQ Rock Slide Swords Dance??? Crobat (hazer)@??? Haze Wing Attack/Aerial Ace/Air Cutter/Steel Wing Toxic ???? Skarmory (spiker/staller???) @ ??? Spikes HP Ground Rest????? Steel Wing??? Jolteon??? (i don't really like him, but.....could Espeon be a replacement?)(substitutor) @ ??? Thunderbolt HP Grass Substitute Thunderwave I'm really stuck on the last one, hmmmm........... i'll try Blaziken. Blaziken(baton passer???) @ ??? Sky Uppercut Sacred Fire Bulk Up Baton Pass As u can see, i REALLY need help. I downloaded Netbattle and figured if i didn't get some strategy, i'll get my @$$ kicked. I really want to start, so PLEAZZZZZZ help!!!!!!!!! |
I'm not an expert or anything, but wouldn't calm mind be better than dragon dance for a special sweeper?
|
yup, ur prob. right. so...
Latias Dragon Claw Psychic Recover Calm Mind And who can replace Jolteon as a substitor? I don't like Jolteon. If not ne1 i like, is there another "job" i can hav instead (like a baton passer)? EDIT: I could add a Suicune Suicune Ice Beam Surf ??? ??? Flareon (instead of Blaziken) Overheat Shadow Ball Double Team Baton Pass |
yea that dancing sp.sweeping latias really made me laugh for 20 minutes.
|
ha ha ha. don't laugh - help. i really need some1 who can bulk up and baton pass. and my team sucks.
|
I don't think there is a poke that can bulk up and baton pass. The only tw opokes who I know can bulk up are Blazikan, Groudon, and Machamp (TM). Oh and I also think that breloom and all other fighting pokemon can can learn it. So I guess you can't have a bulk uping baton passer as all bulkers are fighting (except groudon) and they can't learn bulk up.

Meditite, and thus Medicham, can indeed learn Baton Pass and Bulk Up. __________________________________ Charizard @ Petaya Berry {HP+6 SpAt+252 Sdp+252} [SpAt+ PhAt-] Flamethrower/Fire Blast Dragon Claw Seismic Toss/Roar Dragon Dance Trick your opponents with Dragon Dance (they'll think that Charizard is a physical sweeper), and then attack. __________________________________ Sandslash @ Lax Insence {HP+110 PhAt+200 PhDf+100 SpDf+100} [PhAt+ SpAt-] Earthquake Rock Slide Swords Dance Sandstorm Use Sandstorm, Swords Dance, then sweep. __________________________________ Crobat @ Leftovers {HP+6 PhAt+252 Spd+252} [Spd+ SpAt-] Fly Toxic Protect Haze Fly Mean Look Confuse Ray Screech I prefer the second set, but if you want a hazer, then use the first. I would use Roar on Charizard instead. __________________________________ Skarmory @ Chesto Berry {PhDf+200 SpDf+200 HP+110} [SpDf+ SpAt-] Drill Peck Spikes Roar/Whirlwind Rest It's very standard, but annoting nevertheless. __________________________________ Jolteon @ Brightpowder (filler) {HP+6 SpAt+252 Spd+252} [Spd+ PhAt-] Thunderbolt HP Grass Substitute Thunderwave It's not like Jolteon can learn much else. You could use Quick Attack, but there isn't much that's faster than a Jolteon with a Speed bonus. __________________________________ Medicham @ Quick Claw {HP+120 PhAt+130 PhDf+130 SpDf+130} [PhAt+ SpAt-] Brick Break Shadowball Bulk Up Baton Pass Medicham's attack power is doubled due to its ability. You needn't sacrifice your defensive EVs, especially using it as a Baton Passer. You can't use Blazikin the way you described. __________________________________ Be warned, I haven't checked the team for type weaknesses. I just looked at the individual move sets. |
Latias- use calm mind instead of dance... perhaps pack in recover somewhere too. Use leftovers or lum berry... make sure to invest enough PP to be at 270 speed to be faster than Breloom
Sandslash- return is auto 102 pwr on netbattle. that set will be fine Crobat- he's no hazer, but more of a super annoying bum... Crobat- [speed + / sp.atk -] @ lum berry EV: speed and atk -aerial ace -shadowball -sludgebomb -HP Physical Skarm- you know that I give no advices for Skarm... x_x; Jolteon- [speed + / atk -] @ lum berry/leftovers EV: SP.atk and speed -(use your set) the last person should be someone capable of destroying reversal/flail users, and ways to handle a metagross/tyranitar. Medi sucks at baton passing seriously... better to use him to abuse the 400+ attack power with STAB fighting moves. |
I'll replace Jolteon with a Charizard as a substitutor.
[email protected]??? Flamethrower Substitute Return???? ????? And for the last guy i want an extremespeeder to take care of reversal/flail users. ne1 no an ES that would top off my party? |
I have no idea how does Charizard use sub except...
Charizard- [attack or speed + / sp.atk -] @ salac berry EV: Atk and speed -belly drum -sub -earthquake -overheat And still perferably, take off sub and get another physical attack in there... As for ESer, there's just Linoone, Arcanine and Rayquaza and no one else. Quick attacker does the same thing, and so does the ever-so annoying but not annoying enough to be an unmentionable T-tar. |
Frosty, y put belly drum AND substitute on Czard? ur already lowin his health via sub, y lower it even more through belly drum? I already hav EQ on Sandslash, should i replace it? How could u pull off dat Czard? And should i put heat wave over Overheat? And replace Belly Drum w/ Focus Punch, so he can sit behind the sub and focus punch!
EDIT: Shouldn't i give Czard leftys? Wat about Linoone? [email protected] Berry? [att + / sp.def -] ES Shadow ball Iron Tail Thunderbolt (even though his Sp. Att. sucks, i don't hav ne electric moves)OR Thunder Wave- which one? I replaced Crobat w/ Cloyster (my last modification, i promise) [email protected]??? [sp.att + / def. -] Rapid Spin (to get rid of spikes) Spikes (i took it off my Skarm) Surf Ice Beam |
the point of both sub and drum IS to lower its hp... you need to lower it even more if you want to activate the berry, Plus you'll be in heaven if your opponent is being stupid and didn't break the sub while you have 3 hp with belly drum and salac. Then only a Tyranitar can beat you and nothing else ;p
Heat wave is useless in 1vs1... never use it. Iron tail is one of the worst TM (or maybe it IS the worst) so never use it. Sub will break the second you use it if you're under attack, making focus punch very hard to use right. Sub/Fpunch is generally used on slow Pokemon so the sub is gurantee to survive one turn, with the exception on Gengar who uses it to block status effect, or is using it against a Blissey who has no way to break the sub without ice beam. Linoone without either extremespeed or flail is really a crime... Linoone- [atk or speed + / sp.atk -] @ salac/liechi/lum EV: Speed and attack -extremespeed/flail -belly drum/sub -shadowball -HP Fighting/Rock/sub Cloyster- [sp.atk + / sp.def or speed -] @ quick claw EV: Sp.atk, max hp, def -rapid spin/explosion -surf/explosion -ice beam/explosion -spikes Cloyster needs every bit of hp to survive... high defense allows you to stall even Metagross's meteor mash for 2 or 3 turns. Quick claw is always a nice move on Pokemon capable of exploding most of the time. |
