I'm also looking for a Pokemon that is good for this team or that will suit it, please post your move sets for it as well. For the question marks in the move sets please recommend some moves as well. I've tried really hard to cut down the weaknesses which comes down to a total of 9. For my sixth Pokemon i was thinking of a single type fighting Pokemon. Please recommend a sixth Pokemon as well that will make an addition to my team.

You're gonna need better walling, not to mention a spinner and a heal beller.

What about Miltank?, and the walling is fine in my opinion. My Vaporeon has 401 HP. I Will keep Dragonite and Metagross because they are my physical sweepers and wall. Electivire will be special Sweeper.

Lephisto November 6th, 2007 7:58 PM

If you read my post carefully (no offense, please take no offense) you would see the purposes of the Pokemon being in my team. And to others: I'm looking for a sixth Pokemon, please recommend.

do you really want a Sp.attacking elevtivier?

Let's stick with this okay

2. Metagross @ Leftovers / Liechi Berry
Adamant
EV: 88 HP / 216 Atk / 136 Spd / 68 SDef
-Zen Headbutt
-Meteor Mash
-Agility
-Earthquake / Explosion
Explosion is also something to be considered.

3. Dragonite @ Yache Berry
Adamant / Lonely
EV: 120 HP / 184 Atk / 20 Def / 184 Spd
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Stone Edge / Thunderbolt / Thunder
-Earthquake
Run Lonely and Thunderbolt / Thunder to combat Skarmory, or use Stone Edge for anything else. Convert Def EVs into SAtk if running Lonely.

4. Electivire
Mild / Rash
EV: 116 Atk, 216 SAtk, 176 Spd
-Hidden Power(ICE)
-Thunderbolt
-Fire Punch
-Cross Chop
Since you're obviously trying to stand out, I'll leave this one alone. But trust me, there are a LOT better Sp. Sweepers out there. But at least be manly and run Cross Chop on it :x

5. Dusknoir
Impish
EV: 252 Hp, 96 Def / 160 SDef
-Shadow Sneak
-Fire Punch / Focus Punch
-Will O Wisp
-Plain Split
I didn't know Dusknoir could split PLAINS.

imo, add Snorlax. Remove Metagross, add a very powerful Choice Scarf attacker (Heracross or Medicham most specifically), and we'll go from there.

Lephisto November 6th, 2007 11:56 PM

Ok, why take out metagross? is this good? Iceman3k please guide me to make this team better, i like your suggestions quite well.
If i follow your suggestions Iceman3k, what pokemon on my team are attackers? that arent walls? I'll remove metagross, and ill do what you said! because i think it is good

Ill be also updating my first post

Lumine November 7th, 2007 1:08 AM

Heracross @ Choice Scarf / Choice Band
Adamant Nature
6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Ability: Guts
-Megahorn
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-Pursuit

CB'ed STAB'ed CC and Megahorn will do massive ownage.

Snorlax
As a tanker or sweeper?

Lephisto November 7th, 2007 1:30 AM

snorlax is going to be a tanker. i'm going to have a poll to see what my team rates.

Lumine November 7th, 2007 1:32 AM

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Careful Nature
EVs: 160 HP / 40 Atk / 56 Def / 252 SDef
Ability: Thick Fat
-Body Slam/Crunch
-Earthquake
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

luke November 7th, 2007 7:24 AM

Just to let you know, Fire Punch or Thunderpunch are better on Dusknoir. Fire Punch is for Steel Types who wall Shadow Sneak and Thunderpunch is for Gyarados who will come in and lol at you with Taunt. Honestly, there are better Mixed Sweepers than Electivire. Infernape for example. Nice try being unique but I see a slim chance of it being successful.

Special Attacking Electivires do exist and could function, but Vire's real asset is his awesome attack stat. Which is why most movesets try and utilize this:

[Electrivire] @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 176 Spd / 80 SpAtk
Ability: Motor Drive
-Thunder Punch
-Cross Chop
-Ice Punch
-Earthquake

But Special Attacker could work I suppose. It certainly has the element of surprise going for it.

1. Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Haze
- Surf
- Ice Beam
Tank/Sweeper

Looking a lot better...

2. Heracross @ Choice Band
Trait: Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sleep Talk
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

CBcross FTW. You can scarf it if you'd rather run scarfxcross.

3. Dragonite @ Yache Berry
Jolly Nature
EV: 120 HP / 184 Atk / 20 Def / 184 Spd
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Stone Edge / Thunderbolt / Thunder / Fire Punch
-Earthquake
Physical Sweeper

I'd alter the EVs a tad...and run jolly, but okay.

4. Electivire
Mild / Rash
EV: 116 Atk, 216 SAtk, 176 Spd
-Hidden Power(ICE)
-Thunderbolt
-Fire Punch
-Cross Chop
Mixed Sweeper

PLEASE run the physical standard set...this isn't one of those pokemon to modify really...

5. Dusknoir
Impish
EV: 252 Hp, 52 Def, 204 Sp Def
-Shadow Punch
-Fire Punch/Ice Punch
-Will O Wisp
-Pain Split
Speical/ Physical Wall

Ice Punch is meh. Fire punch beats heracross switch-ins expecting WoW, while thunderpunch is for gyara. Pick one or the other.

6. Snorlax
EVs: 172 HP / 40 Atk / 120 Def / 176 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Crunch
- Body Slam / Return / Earthquake
- Rest
Special Tank

UPDATES

Edit in bold. Looking much better than before. Still needs spinner, cleric...but really, I'd get a heracross couhter, and a VERY good one, since it drives over your team in a bulldozer. Gliscor is the best IMO.

Earthquake is a joke on heracross. I mean, what does it hit that close combat and the rest of its movepool doesn't hit? I think Icveman3k started a whole thread on that...

I once fought a really mean Vaporeon with Acid Armor. This might help increase your walling powers.

With that said, toss out haze for it, since it kinda shoots you in the foot there...

Iceman3k November 9th, 2007 7:16 AM

I guess we're ready for another evaluation, aren't we?

Pursuit is pretty much required on Heracross because

Enemy sends in Dusknoir!
Player withdraws Dragonite!
Player sends in Heracross!
Enemy Dusknoir used Will-o-Wisp!
Heracross was burned!
***1.5x Attack boost from Guts due to the burn***
Enemy: o crap
Enemy withdraws Dusknoir...
Heracross used Pursuit!!
***Hits for 56% Damage***

Enemy: Oh no!!!

No it doesn't. What you did was give Pursiut usefulness to two situations. Passers & U-Turners, who aren't that common.

SWITCHERS, which people will undoubtedly do when Heracross comes out, is where Pursuit comes in handy.

MewthreeXL November 9th, 2007 7:41 AM

Does Pursuit hit Pokemon using Baton Pass/U-Turn?

ON TOPIC:That is a very solid team.
