Enter Goukazaru! (RMT)
After much testing, raising and horrible horrible criticism, I have tried to settle on this team. Yes, they're different. heck look at Floatzel's Ev spread. So I'm looking for feed back/questions/comments/advice. So read away!
Infernape @ Life Orb Blaze ~ Mild Evs: Atk 127 Satk 127 Spd 250 Grass knot Fire Blast Flare Blitz Close Combat Ahh.. My mixed sweeper Infernape. He packs more power in his fists than most pokemon in the game. Runs circles around them while using moves that constantly hurt only himself and then activates blaze bonus. Yes I know he has limited usability. But when he is in the game, the rounds are over very quickly. Floatzel @ Expert belt Swift Swim ~ Bold Evs: Atk50 Satk70 Def250 Sdef104 30Spd Surf Blizzard Aqua jet Crunch Don't ask why the strange Ev set. I used him for the main game and out popped this great defensive floatzel who could handle everything very well and take some hits before dying. While not any substitute for a wall, he fills the job of "secondary" for anything VERY well. Rhyperior @ Leftovers Evs: Hp 127 Atk 127 Def 250 Solid Rock ~ Calm Hammer Arm Megahorn Stone Edge Earthquake This guy is a defensive tank and benefits greatly from those often sandstorms. While hammer arm is on there, think about how he uses it. Rhyperior has abysmal spd for the metagame and so speed isn't an issue. So he basically gets an atk power 100 move without side effect. And since Rhyperiors atk is so high, even with calm nature he fits the roe of secondary attacker well. Honchkrow @Razor Claw/Quick Claw Super Luck ~ Quiet Evs: Atk 200 Satk 200 Spd 100 Fly Night Slash Dark Pulse Psychic With two negations he's great on the switch in for earthquakes and psychics, as well can deal potentially great damage with his stab night slash's high critical hit ratio +super luck. And if you throw in a razor claw the damage is crazy. Jolteon @ Focus Sash/Wise Glasses Volt Absorb ~ Modest Evs: 250 Satk 250 Spd 4 Atk Roar Charge Beam Thunderbolt Protect Jolteon is one of my favorite poke's and even with his small move pool he can do great. Stab Thunderbolt hits hard and with his charge beam ability, he can raise that damage. Protect guards against some attacks but is looking to be replaced. Roar is great for shuffling pokemon and knocking out those with Electric weaknesses and catching the opponent off guard. Linoone @ Quick Claw/Muscle Band Substitute Belly Drum Return Shadow Claw Ahh… Linoone. Perhaps the most understated pokemon of the century. Linoone has a great move pool and is one of the pokemon that has not lost a thing with the generation shift. Sub+ belly racks up atk and then Stab return can pummel foes into oblivion. And shadow claw is there for those pesky ghosts. |
On Linoone:
Linoone @ Chesto Berry / Salac Berry Trait: Gluttony Bold Nature (252 HP, the rest goes to Def, SDef, and/or Spd) - Belly Drum - Return / Flail - Shadow Claw - Rest / Endure It's the old Linoone set, except with Shadow Claw instead of Ball. This was great in UU. A novelty set would be similar to Flailgoose, except faster. Belly Drum on the first turn, and hope to survive an incoming attack. Endure the next turn, activate the Salac Berry, and begin (your attempt at) sweeping. |
It seems you didn't get enough horrible, horrible critisism the first time. This...looks bad.
I haven't the time to fix it, so I'll state the basics. In list form. Never use two moves of the same type on one poke (Inefernape, Floatzel, Jolteon). What are you accomplishing that way? Your Infernape is walled completely by Dragon types. Instead, Fire Blast could be replaced by Thunderpunch. Or even Stone Edge. I don't care if Charge Beam boost power. It's stopped cokd by any Ground type. BTW, Roar goes last, so you won't be able to shuffle it without getting hit. Moves such as Fire Blast are frowned upon. Why? Piss poor accurracy. Blizzard falls here too. Especially with a Life Orb Infernape. You miss...thats your ass on a platter. Also, Fly sucks. Two turns, for what, 75 base damage? Plus, while you in the air, I can either charge up, or switch to a suitable counter. PAY ATTENTION TO THE STANDARD METAGAME. When I saw that Floatzel, I couldn't help but cry. I don't care if its "so defensive, it can take hits ingame". Anything can take a hit ingame. Online, Floatzel is far too fragile to go defensive. Also, Infernape with limited usability? He's one of the best Skarmbliss counters! Also, he's so versitile, he can play multiple roles (Phsical sweeper, Special Sweeper, Mixed Sweeper) just like Salamence. You must learn on Standard metagame. Speaking of Floatzel... Pay sttention to the dominate stats. Why in the world does it have Surf? Its BASE ATK is 105! Waterfall would do SO much more damage. Floatzel is one of the few pokes able to break rule one. It can use Waterfall for heavy damage, & Aqua Jet for quick KO's. Learn up a bit more... EDIT: Whoops, missed one. Hax Items are BANNED!!! Hax in pokemon doesn't mean "Hacked", it means dumb, cheap luck. Basically, those are things like critical hits, Ice Beam freezing (10%), moves constantly missing, etc. There is enough of that going on in the game already. Hax items just add to that cheap luck, eliminating strategy. Plus, only YOU benifit from that luck. Think of it. Weavile goes first. Always. But, by a flick of dumb luck, you go first. A tad bit cheap. Hax items include (But are not limited to) Quick Claw, Razor Claw, Kings Rock, etc. |

You apparently haven't been scolded enough about team building either, have you? |
Copied and pasted from the same moveset of his I posted on another thread:
Floatzel @ Life Orb -Waterfall/Aqua Jet -Crunch/Brick Break -Ice Fang -Bulk Up |
On rhyinferior:
Rhyperior @ Choice Band Trait: Solid Rock EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Megahorn - Stone Edge - FOCUS PUNCH / Avalanche CB = win. EDIT: Calm detroys rhyperior, REALLY bad. |
rofl, this team needs A LOT of fixing.
Infernape@Life Orb Trait: Blaze Nature: Naive EVs: 252 Speed / 228 Attack / 28 SAttack - Overheat / Flare Blitz / Flamethrower - Swords Dance / Earthquake - Close Combat - Thunderpunch ~ Life Orb can whittle down Infernape and might activate its Blaze Ability. ~ This Infernape is mostly a physical attacker - but some consider it mixed. Floatzel@Life Orb Trait: Swift Swim Nature: Jolly EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP - Waterfall - Brick Break - Ice Fang - Crunch / Pursuit ~ There should be no more than one element of moves on a moveset. So Surf and Waterfall are never on the same set. ~ Floatzel's strong point is the physical sweeping. So there is no need in Special Attack EVs, Defense Evs, Special Defense EVs, or Special attacks. ~ Bold utterly destroys Floatzel. It won't take a hit even with a defense benefit. And the attack stat hinder is a no. Rhyperior@Leftovers Trait: Solid Rock Nature: Adamant EVs: 252 Hp / 172 Attack / 80 Defense - Stone Edge - Earthquake - Megahorn - Avalanche / Substitute / Rock Polish ~ Rock Polish is extremely dangerous when attached to a Tank. ~ The other attacks are on the moveset for obvious reasons. - Overall its a horrible team. Where all your walls? Clerics? Spikespinners? Baton Passers? And where is your Special Sweeper? - ALL of your pokemon are Electivire weak. |
Rhyperior lols at vire :/ It can takr an ice punch or two...
I REALLY don't recommend rock polish on something nearly as slow as STEELIX, but go ahead... |
