IM NOT A NEWB WANTING A RATE! *All regulars here pounce*
Ok, so I wuv my team currently, but I think it has need of some... revision.
Aerodactyl-Focus Sash Jolly-252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP Stealth Rock Ice Fang Earthquake Rock Slide Ok, I love this guy, hes my lead and works for me, so NO YAPPY AT ME! Gallade-Choice Scarf Jolly-252 attack, 172 speed, 40 HP, 40 Def Leaf Blade Stone Edge Night Slash Close Combat Ok, I know, it has weird EVs and Nature, but it makes it more defensive, and I like it. Plus my jolly has WOWSA IVs. Gengar-Focus Sash Timid-252 special attack, 252 Speed Focus Blast Thunderbolt Shadow Ball Energy Ball Special sweeper, nuff said. Choice Time! Omastar-Leftovers Bold-252 Def, 200 special attack, 50 HP Ice Beam Surf Protect Knock Off Ok, this guy usually gets a bunch of lip, but if you;ve battled me, you probably know, hes not a pushover. Full IVs in everything but attack, which is 14. Eat that. Protect for discovering choice items and rehealing a bit, knock off for seer annoyance, and me is happy with me Ice Beam and Surf Omastar or Torkoal-Leftovers Relaxed-252 HP, 252 def, 4 spdef Flamethrower Gyro Ball Earthquake Rapid Spin Special Wall 2 choices Dusknoir-Leftovers Carefull-I forget his EVs Thunder Punch Shadow Sneak Will"O"Wisp Pain Split OR Claydol-Lefotvers Calm???-Not sure on Evs Rapid Spin Earth Power Cosmic Power Ice Beam And my last spot, is very confuzzling Tangrowth-Leftovers Impish-252 def, 252 hp Leech Seed Power Whip Knock Off Stun Spore This guy is my one and only, and I love him dearly, but I think that this might benefit my team better. Jumpluff-??? Jolly-252 speed, 252 HP???? jsut a guess Substitute Aromatherapy Leech Seed U-Turn I know its weird, but an Aromatherapist would be nice and this guy looks kind of nice right now... |
Sleep Powder > Stun Spore
Gengar is a really good pokemon to use Hypnosis. Especially with the fact that its a sweeper, it can put major dents in the opponent when they're asleep. |
I've seen Pokemon like Meganium and the ever-popular Blissey used as Aromatherapists. Just out of curiosity, why'd you choose Jumpluff?
Gallade is an awesome Poke~ I usually see him with some sort of stat-inflicting move though, like Hypnosis. Dusknoir EV spread: 252 HP / 76 DEF / 180 SPDEF ...I think. |
well i kno i would be mad if i battled some1 with TWO sashes, and then to me your jumpluff moveset doesnt make a lot of sense, u have substitute but only one atk move whitch is u-turn which ruins the point of sub.
and you team has 2 seeders, and if you ran accross a tauning pokemon, it wouldnt look nice. and most def go with dusknoir for wall > claydol. and if u want a suprizing dusknoir, try taunt > WoW good team overall, i'd give you a 8.5/10 if you want teach gengar hypnosis and give him a wide lens so it will hardly miss, you will sweep many ppl like that. |
Dusknoir > Claydol also to avoid the half pokemon weak to Ice.
Jumpluff is SubSeeding, but I agree with oreo, U-turn ruins the point of Substitute |
Well I just made up the set on the spot, and one problem is, I wont have a spinner without Claydol. And I got yelled at about Meganium, and I REFUSE to use that stupid Blissey.
|
u dont rlly need a spinner because ur team isnt all that weak vs rock so dont worry about it, dusknoir with taunt takes care of spikes/stealth rock anyways.
|
I prefer Will"O"Wisp still. And I also have 2 Sashed Pokemon, which gets totaly ruined without a spinner. Both have bad defenses, so a spinner is almost a must. Adding one more poke to my choose the two thing.

I can see a weakness with your Aerodactyl. A Fake Out + Protect Weavile can simply keep on stalling you, and even if you could defeat it with your aero, the Focus Sash would be useless. The only way you would stop Weavile is by switching in a ghost type, or using Taunt. So perhaps, if you see a weavile, you're in trouble, because even if you switch in a ghost type, weavile will be faster, and with night slash you're in trouble.
You need Taunt on Dusknoir, so you can switch into the Fake Out and then taunt away the Protect. Then switch in aero and earthquake. I know that Dusknoir will get hit by Night Slash, but if you put enough defense EV's into it (As you should), then it should be no problem. [email protected] Careful/Impish 252 HP, 180 Def, 76 Sp. Def (If Impish, stay that, if Careful, swap Defense and Sp. Def)(Impish for Weavile, speed won't be an issue for Dusknoir) Taunt WoW Pain Split Shadow Sneak/Thunderpunch (Depends on how you want to play Dusknoir, heavier hit over 1st hit.) Taunt will also help against other walls that like to wall dusknoir. (I know that Spiritomb is good at this, first hand experience.) Also, because you have Stealth Rock on Aerodactyl, Dusknoir is better over Claydol because of Rapid spin resistence, and because of the four main rapid spinners (Starmie, Donphan, Foretress and Claydol) Starmie would be the only true problem in the way of other attacks. Regards, ~M51 |
My Aerodactyl is faster than any Weavile I;ve ever faced, and I have NEVER seen a Weavile with protect. So, not a issue. And No taunt on Dusknoir, I like its set. Final. So its either Omastar and Cladol, Dusknoir and Torkoal, and Jumpluff or Tangrowth, which are my only problem. I need Richard to come support Claydol.
|
some weaviles do have fake out and have focus sash themselves. so it would defeat aero in that aspect.
|
i still think ur team would be beaten by a bp team or anything that could use dd aka gdos lol
|
I've actually dealt with them being sashed with Aerodactyl, even if its sashed. there is no problem with my Aerodactyl, so leave it. Now on to who I should choose... OMG thank god Name is here please help me OUT! Name left... Truth is, I dont need help on my team itself, which I love, and doesnt really need all that much work. What i need is to decide for one, which spinner, which is a MUST! And Whether or not Jumpluff over Tangrowth. SIMS AND ANTI-POP WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Hrmmmm,
Aerodactyl Gallade Gengar Torkoal Dusknoir Infernape, adds a nice mixed sweeper to my team. |
Starmie weak...but I guess Noir handles it okay, so you should be able to fair decently against it...
|
I already miss tangrowth :(. So Infernape looks like
Infernape-??? ???-??? Grass Knot Flamthrower Close Combat Earthquake |

Not for mixed, Nasty Plot is only special sweeping I think. Hrmmmm, what is that other physical move... THUNDERPUNCH I think thats it.
|
Thunderpunch is for loling at switch-ins of the water brand. So you can lol at them so Much!!!
|
lolololololololol. And yes, I like that. Plus it gives a dang big amount of Pokes a dent in there skulls. Any other advice?

And?
I support claydol, it's a great mixed wall, teh pwnz0rz in fact. |
Well so do I, plus my luck with Dusknoir IVs has been in the toilet. Which means
Aerodactyl Gallade Gengar Omastar Claydol Infernape Whcih gives me one poke weak to bolt and beam, one poke weak to beam, and one poke weak to bolt. Not THAT bad. |
no special wall...I mean, clatdol can take ice beam, but it sure doesn't like to. It's more of a mixed wall...unless you altered its moveset and EVs...
