Which is the most powerful legendary cat Pokemon?

Which is the most powerful legendary cat Pokemon?

I think Raiku is outa the 3

Shiny Umbreon November 12th, 2007 10:00 AM

They're normally refered incorrectly as 'dogs', but they're not cats either.

Anyway, this goes in Strategies & Movesets, I think.

-MOVED-

And I think it was Entei.

Arcknight316 November 12th, 2007 10:00 AM

Raikou can hit the hardest and the fastest. But Suicune can Wall the best. Entei.....can't really do anything; it has hefty Attack, but it's base 100 Speed makes it inferior to Raikou. I'm going with Raikou, but it really depends on your point of view.

flamehaze94 November 12th, 2007 10:03 AM

Entei SUCKS >.<

That is all.

Azonic November 12th, 2007 10:05 AM

Entei can't do anything. Suicune is the wall. Raikou is the sweeper. It depends really on what you need on your team.

Yeah, mmhmm, that was REAL helpful.

Nacon November 12th, 2007 10:16 AM

Suicune by far is a great wall, very well balanced as far as stats go....

Raikou has a pretty good learnset\move pool and learns calm mind... Raikou is a very good special sweeper and only has 1 weakness, which makes him not too shabby...

I use mine from time to time and here's what he's got:

Raikou @ shell bell
Timid: 252.Spatk, 252. Spd. 6 Hp
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Extrasensory
Calm Mind

I have managed to sweep entire times after getting 2 Calm Minds in, and with the massive damage inflicted, naturally the shell bell comes in handy.

I have a Bold Suicune, I haven't worked on him yet, but I'm thinking of doing:

Suicune @ Leftovers
Bold: 252 HP,129 Sp Atk, 129 Sp.Def
Calm Mind
Surf
Ice Beam
Rest

I think that'll definitely work in making Suicune a TANK... lol.

as for Entei.... even in his speed up nature, it just won't work out. Plus, I think he is the plainest looking of the 3 dogs.

luke November 12th, 2007 10:42 AM

Nacon, when it comes to your EV Spread, make sure the amount you give can be divided by four. If not, there will be wasted EVs. I personally have only used Suicune, so I can't give an honest opinion on the others. All I know is that my Suicune has outstalled several Blissey in my time. I think that it's down to Suicune and Raikou. As it's been stated before, Entei can't do much.

county1883 November 12th, 2007 12:37 PM

Raikou has the better attack and speed than entei but entei looks cool

off topic:Loquacity what is the anime in your sig

That's like saying 128 EVs. He just put the 2 remaining EVs nobody cares about.

So was that [/sarcasm]

Entei IOSN'T useless, not in ADV at least, where it is my awesome skarmbliss killer. Granted, the other two dogs are far better, but entei isn't useless...just poor, especially for a legendary. 101 subs are awesome ;)

Raikou is my best sweeper, better than darling CBmence, so no arguing it's a beast. the thing can sweep teams with 115 base spd and satk. However...

I vote Suicune. The thing is a beast tank. blissey? roar it away. Vappy? Roar it away. Skarmory...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. But in all seriousness, CMcune is literally unstopable if it can get in 6 CMs, which is very possible. Not even Raikou matches its power...IMO

For the record, CMcune is hawt with roar over ice beam.

Syaoran November 12th, 2007 12:41 PM

Suicune for me, hands down. Bulky water and calm minder, extremely hard to take down later ingame.. especially if he's your last poke and can't be phazed. Probably the best Rest user.

Wrong. /THE/ best rest user ;) lol (In case you didn't catch on "wrong" was a joke :D)

Syaoran November 12th, 2007 12:44 PM

XDD yea

I love it when they think they screwed my Suicune up with Toxic and then I Rest. :p

Me too. I love it even more when bliss thinks it can outstall me. that aint happenin' Rest, CM, rest, CM...endless cycle eventually destroys it.

Shadowz November 12th, 2007 12:48 PM

i think Suicune has a better moveset and works best at it's job

Dark Azelf November 12th, 2007 12:52 PM

Obviously Suicune = one of the best dual walls

OR

Raikou = Fantastic Calm Mind Sweeper

Entei= *Sigh*, only if he had some good STAB moves to back up his more physical orientated stats like Flare Blitz then at least he would see some use, but all he gets is Fire Fang.....

Oh oops. Silly me. Probably should of added up the EVs before I said something. Reading this thread has actually aroused an interest in using Raikou. Anyone have a decent move set for it? (Anti?)

[email protected]
64 HP/252 Speed/96 SpAtk/96Sp.Def (Smogon Spread)
Timid Nature
- Calm mind
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden power Ice /Grass
- Substitute / Extrasensory

Anti November 12th, 2007 1:07 PM

Well, I play 3rd gen, but here it is:

Raikou @ Leftovers ** Wrathkou
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Crunch
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Thunderbolt

Max speed outruns adamant Duggy...easily. and it actually survived an EQ from a jolly one :0:0:0:0 HP ice if you want it to lead. CBmence is like "woah!" It's a better lead than you'd think...

El Gofre November 12th, 2007 1:14 PM

The only one I've used is CMcune so ill go with it :)

I posted my moveset a bit earlier on the thread:

Raikou @ shell bell
Timid: 252.Spatk, 252. Spd. 6 Hp
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Extrasensory
Calm Mind

this has been working out really well on mine, it has a decent, versatile coverage, and at the same time, it is formulatic.

I don't like opening up with Raikou but he's great for coming out later in the battle.

The HPs are good, too, but the problem is finding one that has the HP you like.

Anti November 12th, 2007 1:16 PM

Yes, raikou is a late-game sweeper, but sometimes people forget you should have a counter for the dawg. Meaning you can wipe out the team easy.

yea... Raikou's downside is lack of physical defense, and being weak to ground moves.... IE the OU EQ.......

but... the brightside is... that's only 1 solid weakness.. haha. HP Grass\Ice... if possible to get, would be vicious on a 'kou.
