NO! Sunflora! I strongly disagree with that choice, as Sunflora have pathetic speed, and not so good special attack either, Trust me, I've tried them out, they aren't that good, but the move set is really good.
Arcanine, don't give it overheat! Don't use Espeon, Only I can use it (lol, just joking, but good luck with the hidden powers) also, try to give it morning sun, and with Flora's Sunny Day, that is one hell of a HP restore Drapion is good, I can see no flaws in it (but I don't really know anything about Drapions anyway) Uxie is good, but I personally don't like Ubers Kingler, well, you already have Drapion, try using a wall. For this team, I recommend taking out Kingler or drapion and replace it with a wall, I recommend Probobass, they are excellent and learn electrolevitate (magnet rise) |

isnt it clear that sunflora is a wall there for you dont need speed

Yes I know Magcargo is NU. Yes I know Psychic has terrible coverage. Show me a better move from Shaymin's move pool that isn't Energy Ball/Grass Knot. lulz This is Shoddy by the way, so I can use Shaymin. mwhahaha |
give uxie reflect over yawn.
sunflora? ._. now you must know i'm completely open to all kinds of pokemon, but sunflora is at the bottom of the barrel... moreso, it's under the barrell whimpering at the irony of never seeing sunlight except for when it's attached to a water mouse's body (credits to Sunflorazumarill... geez that's a mouthful). hp fight is nice on arcanine. wish i had one =( ... only problem is you've really doomed it with no means of protecting itself. it's strange that it has such good HP and defenses and yet it has such a huge 'X' on its back... or w/e it is. your team isn't much of a staller team so i'd really drop toxic spikes. kinger w/ scarf is nice. i love kingler, but i much prefer it with choice band. oh wait... you changed your team? =O i'll get to it later XD |
Yeah, that first team wasn't working as successfully as I had hoped. Sunflora, while being one of my favorites (I've come to realize how much I love Grass-Types), wasn't cutting it for me. This new BL team has had moderate success, managing to take down 8 of the 12 teams it's faced. I'd like to increase that winning percentage, so some suggestions would be appreciated.

Gorebyss is known to be a fairly good baton passer. You can go Baton Pass, Agility, Barrier/Surf, ICe Beam

How many times do I have to explain this to people? >_>
Leftovers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Black Sludge. |
Why Not? Black Sludge, one, doesnt heal people who trick you into trading unless they themselves are poison, and still heals the same.

using sunny day for the same combination is really not ideal on a grass type. if you have sunny day, use it on a fire type so that they can increase their fire power and decrease water power while burning everyone in between (Moltres and Flareon being an example). i know, sound silly to do that, but it's even sillier to use vileplume and not give it sleep powder. it's a waste of its ability. and wtf, moonlight + sunny day? synthesis plz.
so things to note: if you're going to go with sunny day, put it on a fire type who isn't threatened by it. then give vileplume sleep powder and preferably, something like Wide Lens for accuracy. moonlight is a no go with sunny day. give gorebyss a semi-bulky Choice Specs set. giving it agility just to get walled by blissey and the like is really quite silly. it's best for it to hit hard when it can. i'd much rather use it for baton pass myself. you could use it for a Kingdra-like Rain Dance mixed set (84 base atk = good stuff), but then you have more than one weather going on =/ now i like magcargo, but that set leaves it too vulnerable. when i use magcargo, i use it so pokes like ScarfChomp and Weavile who try to attack my other pokes end up getting burned with Flame Body. that's why i suggest giving it substitute so that it has the ability to stay in battle after scaring senseless physical attackers away and gives him the option to attack, recover or cause status. sorry, but yawn just has to go... yet again. if you want to keep earth power, get rid of the special defense evs (he'll take NE hits very well either day) and put them into special attack. that way, when you are behind the sub, attacking will actually do some worthy damage, rather a few HP that they can recover over 3 turns w/ leftovers. shaymin is cute. i'd go with the choice scarf/specs + rest variety. very effective. hypno... toxic needs to go. your team, again, isn't a stall team. besides, with nasty plot, you should at least give hypno the option to attack if you're in a corner. if not that, at least give him thunderwave. you definitely need it. taunt is also a decent option to pimp other special walls (grumpig being one who has traditionally made a fool of hypno). oh and salac berry? what makes you think hypno is gonna survive with just the right amount? if you really want to take advantage of a berry, at least give him twave so you can control that aspect of the battle. |
Um, well I have a Moltres with this:
Moltres @ Heat Rock Nature: Timid Trait: Pressure EVs: 28 HP / 230 SPD / 252 SPATK - Flamethrower - Air Slash - Hidden Power [Grass] - Sunny Day Vileplume @ Wide Lens Nature: Calm Trait: Chlorophyll EVs: 76 HP/200 Def/36 Spd/70 SAtk/128 SDef - Solarbeam - Moonlight / Synthesis - Sleep Powder - Aromatherapy Don't Synthesis and Moonlight do the same thing in sun light? I'm not worried about OU threats like ScarfChomp, Weavile, and Blissey as this is a BL team Samson. -.-; There's little chance of taking this team in OU with all the Sandstorm teams that are abundant in that tier. |
yeah but there are imitations of them in BL at least. for instance, clefable would probably do a good job of walling your gorebyss, especially one with twave or CM.
moonlight's power is reduced in any weather condition. i'm just not liking the looks of it now cus all these special attackers. now that i look at it, you don't have much of a physical force on your team. i'd give arcanine choice band to make up for that. eh this is a mess. ignore me ._. |
