A starmie that can't boltbeam is a sad starmie...gengar is owned by surf anyways, does a number to it.

Archer November 19th, 2007 2:47 AM

Guess what? I decided to Start from scratch. So i have updated the first post. (or will have within 2 mins of this post anyway).

Ársa November 19th, 2007 3:16 AM

Donphan (♂) @ Nothing
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 80 HP/220 Atk/208 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Rapid Spin
- Fire Fang

Or, you can do this...:)

Donphan (♂) @Leftovers
Sturdy
Impish (+Def - Sp. Atk)
252 HP, 36 Atk, 222 Def (36 Atk EV's scores 2HKO on 357 HP/226 Def Garchomp with Ice Shard)

Ice Shard
Earthquake
Rapid Spin/Roar
Stealth Rock

I have Roar over Rapid Spin, but you may want to keep it as a rapid spinner. This gives it a higher tanking ability, and can be another stealth rocker to go with Skarmory, allowing Skarm to give Spikes support for greater switch-damage.

Donphan without Leftovers is suicide. And he can't really be a Physical Sweeper. :/ So second set it is.

Ársa November 19th, 2007 3:25 AM

I just quoted his set that was shown on the front page. The lower set was mine...

I was thinking the same thing. Why have nothing on a pokemon? Especially on Donphan, that needs leftovers....:)

~M51

Archer November 19th, 2007 3:35 AM

The "@ Nothing" was an accident. Yeah i kind of need a Spinner
EDIT: First Post updated.

Ársa November 19th, 2007 3:36 AM

Yes, so do I. I should perhaps rearrange my Donphan, because I seriously have a Stealthpert weakness....:( (As shown to me yesterday, although I still ended up winning...:))

Well, there's Starmie..

Starmie (F) @ Leftovers **Big Star
Trait; Natural Cure
EV's: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -ATk)
- Rapid Spin
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt. I see you had it on your last Team w/ Expert Belt. :/

Archer November 19th, 2007 3:40 AM

@Itachi 07 - I meant i needed to keep RS on Donphan.

EDIT: My main concern is Gardevoir...

Ársa November 19th, 2007 3:42 AM

Which is why I left it in there for you...:)

I was posting Starmie for another option on the Rapid Spinner.

Archer November 19th, 2007 3:46 AM

Yeah but i want to keep my current team. All i am willing to swap is Gardevoir

Ársa November 19th, 2007 3:49 AM

[email protected]
Calm
252 HP, 252 Sp. Def, 6 Spd

Thunder Wave/Calm Mind
Hypnosis/Calm Mind
Psychic
Grass Knot/Energy Ball/Focus Blast

Off the top of my head. Has a good Sp. Def to be utilized. Grass Knot or Energy ball, depending on what you worry on, and Focus Blast for Dark Types that try to wall. I think it looks alright, but as I said, off the top of my head...

~M51

Sora_8920 November 19th, 2007 3:51 AM

More like:

Gardevoir (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Will-o-Wisp / Hypnosis
- Thunderbolt
- Wish..

Ársa November 19th, 2007 3:52 AM

He wanted to use it as a surprise Special Tank....I just took that and adapted to what he wanted...

K. But um. Isn't using it as a sp.Tank.. Suicide? Suicune pls. K thnx.

Ársa November 19th, 2007 4:01 AM

I just gave him what he wanted...lol :)

I don't much care for legends, even if they aren't considered "uber"...

I have been testing this team on shoddy and its seem that i need a power sweeper. I was considering CBmence or maybe Specs Mence. Electivire and Infernape have great coverage, but i need something to stop their counters, An Early-game Sweeper. Also, Sweeper Ludicolo doesnt work that we, i will try the tanky one.

Ársa November 22nd, 2007 9:52 PM

early Game sweeper you say...

Lead:

[email protected] Sash/Expert Belt/Wise Glasses
Modest
252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Sp. Def

Bug Buzz
Air Slash/Hypnosis
HP Ice
Protect

Protect at the start, to gain a speed boost, and then proceed to sweep. I personally run with a Focus Sash, although teams that set up stealth rock lol at it when it loses half its health when switched in...

Archer November 23rd, 2007 2:42 AM

Nice, but i dunno...

Don't know whether i mentioned it, but this is a WiFi Team, just testing on shoddy. Anyway, here is a possibilty i would like to use...
Gengar @ Focus Sash/Life Orb
Timid | 252 Spd, 252 Sp.Atk, 6 Atk
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-ThunderBolt
-HP ICE ( yeah, im workin' on it.)

Focus Sash helps it stay in for one more turn. Life Orb for More power. Currently pumping out batches of Timid Gastlys, searching for HP ICE.

Steels (and Bliss) lol @ Yanmega.

Ársa November 23rd, 2007 3:40 AM

[email protected] Sash/Wise Glasses
Timid
252 Spd, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP

Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt
HP Grass/Energy Ball

HP grass is geat for those like tankpert and the like, who really annoy me. Many bulky waters won't be able to handle Gengar when it runs Thunderbolt and HP Grass. What were you looking at as problems that you needed HP Ice?

No threats, Coverage. Bye bye Mence and Chomp. Oh and Why HP GRASS over Energy Ball?

Ársa November 23rd, 2007 4:01 AM

no reason, just one or the other....

You can try this if you want:

[email protected] Sash
Timid
252 Spd, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP

Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Energy Ball
HP Ice

It is unfortunate that we can only have 4 moves on a pokemon...:(

~M51

Archer November 23rd, 2007 4:05 AM

No, i want Shadow Ball, Focus Blast and Tbolt, i just cant choose between HP Ice and Energy Ball. Grass hits Pert and Rocks, but Ice covers Dragons and stuff..

Ice is working nicely on Shoddy...

Ársa November 23rd, 2007 4:07 AM

Pert has bad Sp. Def though, so go with the HP Ice I reckon... You'll run into more Dragon's anyway...
