Bronzong Discoveries

I have discovered a new use for Bronzong that may work =)

Bronzong@Leftovers
Trait - Levitate
Moves -
- Gyro Ball
- Rain Dance
- Grass Knot
- Charge Beam/Explosion/Light Screen/Reflect/Hypnosis

Rain Dance covers it's Fire weakness, and doubles water Power Which Grass Knot helps destroy Milotic/Starmie/Swampert, common water attack users. Light Screen and Reflect helps give it a chance of survival, and Hypnosis cripples one threat. Explosion is self explanatory, and Gyro Ball gives a good power against Weavile and several Rock types like Aerodactyl. Charge Beam with 70% on increasing Sp. Attack can be valuable, especially for Grass Knot itself.

On the other hand, my own old Bronzong..

Bronzong@Leftovers
Trait - Heatproof
Moves -
- Gyro Ball
- Imprison
- Earthquake
- Hypnosis/Light Screen/Reflect/Rest

Imprison rips Gengar of Hypnosis and rips sweepers of Earthquake, their valuable way of hitting Steel-types.

Another good discovery, Rain Dance with Scizor is pretty valuable as well, it covers it's 4x weakness into 2x weakness AND also is unaffected by Water-types, always a good advantage ^^

Interesting, but what do you plan to use for EVs and Nature? A mixed attacking Bronzong won't pack much of a punch, seeing as you still need to invest a reasonable amount of EVs into HP and/or its defenses.

As for the EV's, Bronzong with Rain Dance is able to go

152 HP / 84 ATK / 84 SPATK / 100 DEF / 84 SDF

Reaches above 200 in each of it's attack stat, combined with SPATK boost from Charge Beam, and still pulls off on walling pretty well =)

Relaxed shall also be the nature

Doesn't that ruin the whole point of Rain Dance? Grass Knot probably won't OHKO Milo and then Milo will attack with Surf powered by STAB and Rain Dance boost.

This is a very unexpected moveset since it was first created XD

You probably will have time to set up a Light Screen after a Water-type comes out to bite at you =)

Bronzong@Leftovers/Flame Orb
Trait - Heatproof
Moves -
- Gyro Ball
- Imprison
- Earthquake
- Hypnosis/Light Screen/Reflect/Rest

Imprison rips Gengar of Hypnosis and rips sweepers of Earthquake, their valuable way of hitting Steel-types. Burning a Heatproof Pokemon only takes half damage of the regular burn, so Rest is useful here.

Another good discovery, Rain Dance with Scizor is pretty valuable as well, it covers it's 4x weakness into 2x weakness AND also is unaffected by Water-types, always a good advantage ^^

Not trying to discourage or make fun of you, but that is my Bronzong there thank you very much. I use him as my Rain Dancer for my CSpecs Kingdra to rip teams apart so I wouldn't go around calling it new

Damp Rock has seemed to help me more than Leftovers, but that might be because Kingdra is always switching in when the rain is already on, so it's better to make longer use of it I guess

How is that your Bronzong?

I've seen that set some times before.

uh... just wanted to point out something on the imprison strategy -- gengar/etc is faster than you. unless you plan on setting trick room first when they switch in, then that strategy still isn't even worth it. you'd be dedicating 3 of your on moves just to prevent gengar and the like from using hypnosis, which still doesn't beat out Sleep Powder/Spore.

I was going to plan it on a switch-in, it was the whole purpose anyway

send Bronzong out on a Pokemon you KNOW will switch, then Imprisonate him =P
