No, you need to know how a set works before telling that to a better player than yourself. Quick Feet + toxic orb gives you speed. Next time you jump to such rediculous conclusions, get your facts straight.

funny thing is, ursurang is an lol physical wall. Why don't you battle somebody and any CBer can prove that to you.

luke November 17th, 2007 12:49 PM

Learn about traits buddy. Quick Feet increases Speed dramatically when afflicted by a Status Condition. So before you insult me, do some research. Thanks.

Thanks Anti. You beat me to it.

That was worded far nicer than mine. lol

Actually, ursurang also makes tremendous use of guts, if you prefer that route.

luke November 17th, 2007 12:56 PM

Ursaring @ Flame Orb
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 6 SPD

Facade
Close Combat
Shadow Claw / Night Slash
Protect / Stone Edge

I just realized my previous set is walled by Gengar. Close Combat and Night Slash are both Egg Moves than can be passed from a Zangoose. Protect can be used to activate Flame Orb or if you switch Ursaring on a Pokemon you know will switch, then Stone Edge can be used if you want more coverage.

Eos Aduro November 17th, 2007 12:59 PM

I've always wanted to try Guts with a Poison Orb, and make it resttalking, just see what happens, so like

Ursaring-Poison Orb
Adamant-252 attack, 172 speed, 80 HP???
Rest
Sleep Talk
Close Combat
Return

you can also run sleep talk and switch into gengar's hypnosis, though it isn't so fast. But yeah, that's good.

luke November 17th, 2007 1:00 PM

Umm... well that looks interesting Midnight_Winged. Just watch out for Ghosts with that set.

Eos Aduro November 17th, 2007 1:02 PM

Yeah I was thinking Close Combat/Night Slash

luke November 17th, 2007 1:05 PM

Well, Facade was built for Normal-type, Guts-using Pokemon. However, with the limitations on Sleep-talking Ursaring, you're bound to be walled by something:

Facade + Close Combat - Walled by Ghost-types
Facade + Night Slash - Walled by Steel-types
Close Combat + Night Slash - Walled by Steel-types and Heracross

No, Skarmory or a handful of Flying types will wall you on that set =P

Which means taking off rest and adding a move. You'll have to switch in to sleep inducers. CB for even more power, like a mock CBcross.

Eos Aduro November 17th, 2007 1:08 PM

Close Combat isnt walled by steel types, it takes down steel types. Too bad Facade doesnt activate with Sleep. Maybe hmm, Close Combat Rest Sleep Talk Night Slash and give it a Leftovers

luke November 17th, 2007 1:08 PM

Oops. That's what I meant. =X How embarrassing. I'd much rather go with the Quick Feet / Guts Abuse sets however.

Samson November 17th, 2007 1:50 PM

impish is a great nature on Ursaring. i go Impish w/ Flame Orb, 252 HP/172 DEF/84 ATK. luckily, i was able to get it with Fire Punch, so it's pretty awesome.

ChrisG14 November 17th, 2007 3:08 PM

Luckly, I run Resttalk Ursaring(Pedobear), with Fire Punch and Facade, so nothing walls it. I wanted Night Slash, but Fire Punch has better coverage and doesn't need the Super Effective hits.

hm i like that 1.........

Iceman3k November 17th, 2007 3:47 PM

I run my Ursaring with Crunch instead of Shadow Claw.

Sora_8920 November 17th, 2007 3:58 PM

Ursaring (M) @ Salac Berry / Leftovers
Trait: Quick Feet
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Return
- Shadow Claw / Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Or,

Ursaring (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Quick Feet
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Return
- Shadow Claw / Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch.

Or,

Ursaring (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Guts
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Return
- Shadow Claw / Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch.

Or,

Ursaring (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Return / Body Slam / Double-Edge
- Stone Edge / Earthquake / Fire Punch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk.

I smell a PHazer to make salac useless, or a physical wall...

Or,

Ursaring (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Quick Feet
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Return
- Shadow Claw / Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch.

YAY!

Or,

Ursaring (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Guts
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Return
- Shadow Claw / Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch.

You could just put "/ Choice Scarf" on the other set...

Or,

Ursaring (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Return / Body Slam / Double-Edge
- Stone Edge / Earthquake / Fire Punch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk.

Resttalker is okay, but switching into sleep inducers is SO much more fun.

Arcknight316 November 17th, 2007 6:30 PM

OOOOPS 4got abut Quick Feet. Then again, you risk getting....OH WAIT, there's a Toxic orb. Better watch out for the Poison Damage, though.

Samson November 17th, 2007 11:34 PM

ursaring does not need speed. i repeat, does NOT need nor want speed ._.

and agree on the resttalk set. ursaring is a very decent candidate for sleep talk w/ Chople Berry to reduce the power of fighting moves so you can hopefully pull off a return/fire punch on the Close Combat abusing fool for a *hopefull* OHKO. if not, STFO.

Syaoran November 18th, 2007 12:19 AM

If you choose Facade + Fire Punch on a restalker, you're walled by Heatran.. so watch out if they have one on the team. To solve the moveset problem, just use Close Combat + Shadow Claw to hit everything for at least neutral damage (Heracross too).
