Flame my Team
EDIT: Creative nicknames, I know ;) though I <3 'Bi 'Bi Gun...
Okay, my test team I posted wasn't working so well, in fact, horribly. So I started from scratch. Yeah, THIRD GENRATION, 'K? I'm open to all suggestions, though I usually disagree, I will consider everything. No hyper beam suggestions though ;) And PLEASE no 4th gen rates. VERY annoying. And no fixing something that isn't broken. I'm well aware of all standard sets, I'm probably choosing not to use them. feel free to bring it up though, as I might have looked over something. now then: The strategy of this team is pretty simple-I want to get blissey or whatever the opposing special wall is out of the way. That way Zam can sweep like crazy. If that wouldn't work for whatever reasons (perhaps the opposing pokemon) I'll do the opposite-destroy the physical wall and then have Aero Outsweep everything. My team abuses rest and celebi keeps on heal belling the sleep away. If heracross shows up (yeah, I'm hera weak), I'll normally throw in forry to take the hit...since they're almost always CBed, I can react accordingly. there is a method to the CM madness. It's basically to wear down the special wall with CM boosted hammer shots and eventually eliminate them (stall war alert). Once that is accomplished, it's a near guarenteed win. It isn't easy to pull off. Since both of my sweepers are oh so fragile, I generally have to predict well and I'll usually win (always if it weren't for hax), but prediction isn't always easy, yes? If you really think Cune is redundant, please do offer a decent replacement, one that isn't weak to heracross and doesn't add to any weaks that could form. and make sure it can PHaze. IF you can find that, I'll probably replace Cune, no matter how much I love it :( Oh, here's an edit...if I can't manage to set up a late-game sweep, I'll try to stall away the competition. this means annoying the crap out of the walls (probably sacrificing my sweeping power in the process) and destroying the crap out of them. Not always easy though. Usually I like to eliminate anything that resists HP grass from celebi and try to sweep using that. IF that doesn't work, I'm probably in no position to win ;) though my last gasp at hope is pulling a surprise 'counter' from forretress to eliminate nasty physical sweepers. which actually saved me once. but yeah. The Team: ("The Hax Abusers" being the team name...) Aerodactyl (F) @ Choice Band ** Aero Trait: Rock Head EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Double-Edge - Earthquake - Hidden Power [Flying] - Rock Slide CB Aero rocks. Er, yeah...physical sweeper. Alakazam (M) @ Leftovers ** Zam Trait: Synchronize EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Fire Punch - Psychic - Sleep Talk It's so fun to switch into gengar and watch me sleep talk the idiot with psychic. and CMing up aimlessly isn't half bad either. Celebi @ Leftovers ** 'Bi 'Bi Gun Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 240 HP / 120 Def / 148 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Heal Bell - Hidden Power [Grass] - Recover I love the nickname. My beller and a happy-happy tank. HP Grass is random, I know. Though it has come in handy actually. Suicune @ Leftovers ** Cune Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Rest - Roar - Surf Give me a redundancy alert, but having 2 special tanks is better than one ;) PHazes stuff. and no ice beam suggestions, I hate it on CMcune for some reason. Forretress (M) @ Leftovers ** Forry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 60 Atk / 196 Def Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Counter - Earthquake - Rapid Spin - Rest Physical wall and spinner. Counter it to tick off Heracross when it thinks it can attack me. Then I can rest and do it again. Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Lax Trait: Thick Fat EVs: 160 HP / 72 Atk / 136 Def / 140 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Body Slam - Curse - Rest - Shadow Ball Curselax. I wish I could use CBlax, but I'm in dire need aof a special wall that can heal ;) |

1) choice specs is a bad idea on CM Zam, yes? 2) Sadly, choice specs don't exist in ADV So that won't work :( |

The only other decent item is lum berry, and I'm not in favor of that to be honest.

Okay, how about the team? |
team seems pretty solid to me.....

Um, any glaring weaks? Because a counter to that particular pokemon over suicune would probabyl be necessary. I just hope TTar doesn't eat me liek an animal ;) I guess I'm uneasy about CBmence, CBtar, and DDtar... |
lol im loving your celebii's nickname, to me it's looking prity good so far but im still not the best advice giver yet but im hoping to get better, how about somthing like sleep talk on snorlax? possably instead of curse.
|
I was thinking the E-Punches w/ Encore for Zam..

So That's the point behind sleep talk...like I said, I'm well aware of the standards, I'm just choosing not to use those I'm not using. Including resttalk snorlax, which IMO is inferior to curselax. What I'm really looking for (since the movesets really are already decided, unlikely I'm changing them) is some info on what weaks I have, and maybe how to fix them...since that is what I'm worried about. I did put a lot of time and thought into this, so I'd rather not go into battle unprepared. What I'm getting at is, what are the major weaks of this team? I tried to prevent as many as possible... Though again, if you have something (moveset-wise or suicune replacement-wise) that would better help my team function, lay it on me. I'm not trying to sound too closed minded (I am, I'll admit it ;)) so yeah...............still open to suggestions, as always. Oh, in case you're wondering why I'm using curselax, it's because I like me a well-rounded tank that can take a pysical hit. That and the fact I need help dishing out attacks, rather than unnecessarily stalling, if ya know what I mean ;) |

*sigh* Not every team is for 4th Gen you know
Anti plays Netbattle, Netbattle is 3rd Gen, 3rd Gen has Physical Hidden Powers too you know Also Anti, you may have a problem with physical hits since most of your tank pokemon support the special side of things... If you need a Phazer to replace Suicune then try a Swampert or Donphan |

Hidden Power is either special or physical in third gen.
