Rate/Help my Gyarados

I need people to rate my gyarados or help it out. Here is what i currently have...

Gyarados
@leftovers
Ability:Intimidate
Nature:Adamant
EVs:252 HP, 100 Defense, 100 Sp.Defense, 58 Speed
-Ice Fang
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
IVs:29 HP, 21 Attack, 26 Defense, 31 Sp.Attack, 14 Sp.Defense, 31 Speed

Stats:392 HP, 303 Attack, 214 Defense, 140 Sp.Attack, 244 Sp.Defense, 212 Speed

EV spread:I gave it max HP because of its tremendously hight HP that it has.100 defense and 100 Sp.Defense for a defense boost since gyarados can take quiet a few hits(i think).58 Speed for an extra speed boost...DUH

Moves:Ice fang for dragons and grass type, Dragon Dance for a strong speed and attack boost, Waterfall for a hard nice STAB, and Earthquake for those Steel and Electric counters.

IVs:I was wondering if i should shoot for higher IVs or if that's OK. It has good HP IVs, good Defense IVs, decent Attack IVs, Perfect Sp.Attack IVs but who cares about that one(too bad those weren't its attack IVs), and PERFECT Speed IVs.I just think that it needs higher attack and higher Sp.defense IVs but I will probably leave it the same......

No need to shoot for higher Iv's. And the Stats are pretty darn close to the Maxium. Ev Spread: 212hp/16atk/180def/100spd Ice Fang and Waterfall is suicide.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Satk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang / Waterfall
- Taunt.

yeah i was thinking of putting taunt on it so that those pesky Phazers wont ruing my fun.
So i will put taunt on it when i go into wifi battles but when im just battling my brother ill stick with ice fang since he has no phazers. Thanks for helping me decide.

Itachi is right, but Stone Edge + Waterfall offers great power & coverage.

hmmmmmm
yeah but i don't really like stone edge's accuracy. But ill think about it.

Earthquake and Waterfall is probably better :/

But, Gyarados NEEDS Taunt.

Correct.

EQ so electric types don't ruin your fun :( And because it hammers many other types, which will prove helpful.

You NEED Taunt to set up! Hazers will kill you... Choose over Waterfall/Ice Fang and replace it with Taunt.

Recommended set:

Dragon Dance
Waterfall
EQ
Taunt

Not entirely. I tested it myself. Waterfall & EQ, despite having more powerful, offers terrible coverage. Mence, Tangrowth, Leafeon, and plenty others walls that.

Stone Edge wipes out Electric types easily as well.
