Yes! Welcome to the club!

How did you start watching anime?
Samurai Pizza Cats was the first anime that I saw, but I think Dragon Ball Z was the first that I saw and knew was an anime. So I guess that would be what got me into other anime.

Will you still watch anime when you are old?
Lately I haven't been watching too much anime, J-Drama and tokusatsu has taken my interest, but I've slowly been getting back into the anime world, so yeah, I see myself being into it for a long while.

Mario The World Champion November 30th, 2007 8:48 PM

Question time!!!!!

How did you start watching anime?
For me, this is a two part answer. One official answer, one unofficial answer.

Unofficial:
Back in 1993 or so, my brother had this big collection of Robotech comics from the 1980's. After reading them, I was fully hooked and he even had some tapes of the show when it aired back in 1985. At that time, I didn't know Robotech was Anime. I thought it was an American cartoon.

Official:
I was over at a friend's house and we watched Akira. After that, I was now hooked on Anime.

New Question:

Fave voice actors/actresses:

Romi Poku! I know her voice so well that if I watch a new anime I know it is her instantly XD Like I am watching Shion No Ou & she is voicing one of the boys =3

Hinamori_Momo November 30th, 2007 9:22 PM

May I join? Anime and knowing schedules of it to record or watch has become second nature for me.

Fave voice actors/actresses:
Japanese: Kenichi Suzumura, Toshihiko Seki, Kouji Yusa, Houchuu Outsuka
English: Johnny Yong Bosch, Vic Mignogna, Monica Rial, Quinton Flynn, Crispin Freeman

It's only been in the last year or so that I've really gotten into being a fan of the various VA and seiyuu.

Snivi December 1st, 2007 12:23 AM

I guess the question was easier for me since I only have one.

Have you ever had an anime-related dream?

Lucy Lu December 1st, 2007 1:12 AM

Have you ever had an anime-related dream? Hah, I had plenty. Mostly about my favorite anime characters doing things that real people do. XD

Snivi December 1st, 2007 1:14 AM

Have you ever had an anime-related dream?

The only one I recall was a Pokemon one & it was because Pokemon was on the TV while I was asleep so what they were saying on the show got mixed with my dream ...it was odd but I cannot recall the details....too long ago.

Lucy Lu December 1st, 2007 10:55 AM

Wow, that is cool! I had a few dreams that dealt with Pokemon, but mostly with the characters. ^^

Oh I didn't get to answer my own question a page back...

Will you still watch anime when you are old?

Yes I will! Even if I am 50 years old, I will still watch it. If it is still popular in Japan that is, during that time. I don't want it to end. But as long there a lot fans watching anime...then it is here to stay. :3

Hinamori_Momo December 1st, 2007 11:07 AM

Will you still watch anime when you are old?

Hell yeah I will! I'm going to watch anime no matter what.

Have you ever had an anime-related dream?

Too many times. A few of them hafta do with characters in the wrong show like having Ichigo from BLEACH end up in Pokemon dressed up like Ash and Pikachu being in BLEACH as a substitute soul reaper with spiky orange hair (Ichigo).

Snivi December 1st, 2007 1:56 PM

Feel free to post questions guys I am starting to have trouble thinking them up.

Ryoutarou December 1st, 2007 2:32 PM

Kay, guess I'll toss a question in.

Do you prefer OVA series which have longer episodes, higher production values, but are shorter than full length series or full length series that can run more than a year and tell the original story in less of a rush or get more of it to the screen but can fall victim to things like bad animation and really bad filler?

Welcome to the both of you! =D

Fave voice actors/actresses: I'm going to have to copy Lucy, XD. My favourites are Takeuchi, Romi, & Mae Whitman.

Have you ever had an anime-related dream? I probably have, but I can't think of any. Unless daydreams count, XD. I have been considering writing a crossover fanfic if I ever have the time. Some of you won't like it, as a popular character dies in the first chapter. >=D

I guess I prefer the full series. I like watching the same characters every week, I guess.

That is great; I wish I had dreams like that, XD. If I was any good at Paint I'd make a picture of a Shinigamichu. XDDD

And now for one of my own:

What question has not been asked yet?

Do you like any characters that have had very little screen-time, like just an episode or three? I have a few, actually. One is Sabrina from Pokemon, who has only a few episodes, while she remains to be one of my favourites from the series. Her doll was amazing, to say the least. Probably one of the few times that the line "I want to play with you" put horror in people's eyes. XD
From Naruto, I'd pick Isaribi from the filler season(yes, it is possible to like filler; I was surprised too). She was the sea monster girl that befriended Naruto and the gang, despite being the one they had been sent to capture. Her story was good enough to be canon, in my opinion.

That depends on the show.

Yes. But none come to mind right now *is tired & will edit later*

Sakuya December 1st, 2007 5:48 PM

How did you start watching anime?
Well I first started by watching Pokemon when I was six years old. I didn't realize it was an anime and then I started watching Yu-Gi-Oh later and that led to many other series. I didn't realize they were anime until I started watching G Gundam and Yu Yu Hakusho. Dx

Will you still watch anime when you are old?
Of course! I'll just be a pedophile then, lol! XD

Fave voice actors/actresses:
English: Vic Mignogna, Yuri Lowenthal, Crispin Freeman, Johnny Yong Bosch, Karl Walgren, Steven Jay Blum, Kate Higgins, and many many more. lol
Japanese: Romi Paku, Junko Takeuchi, Aya Hirano, Hikaru Midorikawa, Tomokazu Sugita

Have you ever had an anime-related dream?
Dx I couldn't ever count the many that I've had. lol My favorite one is the one where myself, my best friend Lain, Sasuke, Kakashi and Edward all went on a road trip. XD Kakashi-san got stuck in one of those fold up beds in motels that fold up into the wall. lol!

I think it depends on how good the characters are, if they're likable and it depends if the plot can go on. :/

Do you like any characters that have had very little screen-time, like just an episode or three?
I know there's only like fourteen episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya, but I love the Computer Club President. XD He's so cute. <3

Inept Prodigy December 1st, 2007 8:56 PM

Will you still watch anime when you are old?
Definitely.

Have you ever had an anime-related dream?
I'm sure I have, I just don't remember them very well.

I usually prefer the full length series. It's more descriptive, I really don't care about fillers anyways.

Do you like any characters that have had very little screen-time, like just an episode or three?
I like some characters, but I'm too lazy to think of them right now.

Alakazam17 December 1st, 2007 9:15 PM

I decided to start a new anime, and I chose Lovely Complex. Made me laugh the whole way through, jeez it was great. This is going to be one of my favourites, I just know it. I guess I love ignorant pairings like Naruhina. XD

Mario The World Champion December 1st, 2007 9:43 PM

Do you tend to like good guys or bad guys?
In Anime, I'll always root for the good guys and wish total death for the bad guys.

I VERY MUCH HATE it when the bad guys defeat the good guys and they NEARLY win the day.

So, in short, I tend to like the good guys more.

Did you watch it all in one go?

Alakazam17 December 2nd, 2007 7:18 AM

I just saw the 1st episode, XD. But I'll finish it soon enough.

Edit: 500th post!!! :D

Snivi December 2nd, 2007 10:55 AM

You'll like it! Its really great!

Hayate December 2nd, 2007 11:21 AM
