my team i have worked on for awhile

hey heres my newb team plz tell me its ok ok?

Armaldo
level: 67
Ability: Battle Armor
Item: Hard Stone
Moves:
Crush Claw
Rock Blast
Dig
Water Gun

Stragedy: I use Crush Claw as my hp downer and Rock Blast when its super effective cuz 1 rock can do 113 damge water gun i have nothing to replace with and dig is convient for killing steel types.

Kingdra
Ability: Sniper
Level: 67
Item: Mystic Water
Moves:
Hydro Pump
Dragon Pulse
Surf
Dragon Dance

Stragedy: mostly teams up with Armaldo, dragon pulse is very powerful for her, and i use surf on 1 on 1

Charizard
Level: 73
Ability: Blaze
Item: none
Moves:
Flamethrower
Flare Blitz
Fly
Blast Burn

Stragedy: He's my tanker pokemon, if fire isnt effective i use fly. i only use blast burn when im pissed off >=D

Salamence
Level: 72
Item: none
ability: Intimidate
Moves:
Dragon Claw
Strength
Earthquake
Fly

Stragedy: by far my most powerful pokemon. 1 Dragon Claw and they r down for the count.

Dragonite
Level: 63
Ability: Inner Focus
Item: none
Moves:
Draco Meteor
Dragon Dance
Dragon Rush
Slam

Stragedy: This gets complicated... I use Draco Meteor only as last resort, and Dragon dance to power up Dragon Rush, and slam. if the opponet has high speed or used an evasive move (like Double Team) i use slam because Dragon rush has bad hit ratio.

Tyranitar
Level: 68
Ability: Sand Stream
Item: None
Moves:
Stone Edge
Crunch
Earthquake
Thrash

stragedy: Deals damage and takes none pretty simple

plz be nice im not very good with teams

X-Scissor
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Swords Dance

Adamant
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6HP

Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Return
Hydro Pump/Draco Meteor/Substitute/Rain Dance

[email protected] Berry
Adamant
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Def
(Must have 30 IV's HP at least)

Belly Drum
Fire Punch
Earthquake
Substitute/Earthquake

The strategy here is to come in on something Charizard scares, and use Substitute as it switches out. Then Belly Drum on whatever they bring in as they break your Substitute. Your Salac will activate, as Belly Drum + Substitute brings you to 25% health. You now have +6 Attack, Blaze activated, and +1 Speed, which should allow you to sweep. If you have Endure, then you do the moves in reverse order: first you Belly Drum as they switch, then you use Endure on whatever they bring out.

The HP IV's are given for the Substitute variety.

[email protected] Specs
Modest
252 Sp.Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP

Draco Meteor
Dragon Pulse/HP Ground/HP Electric/HP Grass
Flamethrower
Hydro Pump

I have mentioned the Hidden Powers because they each take care of threats that would otherwise wall the original. The problem is (especially with HP Ground) that once you are locked into a move, you can get into trouble. With HP Ground for example, your opponent can set up a Dragon Dancing Salamence, because you will no doubt switch once it is switched in, and if you don't, you still play into their hands.

[email protected]/Yache Berry/Life Orb/Lum Berry
Jolly
58HP, 252 Atk, 200 Spd

Dragon Dance
Outrage/Dragon Claw
Fire Blast
Earthquake

Yache Berry to take care of Ice Beams that come your way. The rest is self-explanitory.

[email protected] Band
Adamant
60 HP, 252 Atk, 196 Spd

Crunch
Stone Edge
Earthquake/Focus Punch
Pursuit

Monstorously Powerful......full stop.

That is how your team should be. I only changed your team attacks etc. It is up to you to change your team itself, because it is rather bad...lol

Need-to-knows:
1. 2-turn moves like Dig, Fly, Dive, and the Hyper Beam group should not be used, ever. The only exception to this is Giratina's Shadow Force, but that's just because it penetrates Protect and Detect.

2. Putting 2 (or more) moves of the same type on the same Pokemon only limits its potential and therefore, should not be done.

3. Posting the levels is irrelevant. What the raters need are the Pokemon, its held item, Nature, EVs, and moveset.

4. Power boosting items such as Hard Stone and Mystic Water provide too little assistance to the Pokemon to be of any relevance, so they are to be avoided.

Too many All sweepers... Your team is dreadfully weak against DDNite and SpecsMence, and of course, the thing all teams are weak against: Electivire. [/semi-sarcasm]

4 of your Pokemon fear Stealth Rock, especially Charizard. Swap for something else, as Belly Drum and Substitute won't work nicely under TTar's Sand Stream... =/

I was aware of this, I simply gave him his set as set out...lol

If the opponent predicts well, or on the chance that the opponent is using a faster pokemon, the opponent can utilize that free turn for benefits. For instance, it can pound your field with Stealth Rock, Recover to heal HP, switch out to a pokemon that poses as a threat to yours, THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS. Avoid moves like Fly, Dig, and Dive.

Items
- There are a huge variety of items. But there are items that should never be used. They are items like Miracle Seed, Draco Plate, Charcoal, etc. I must point out that items like those only offer a 10% boost to one move(if you are using your movesets correctly). Items with "Plate" in their name only offer a 20% boost. That boost is very minimal and therefore should be scrapped for items that are useful. Leftovers, Life Orb, etc are good examples of items.
Whats the point of having both Salamence and Dragonite on the same team. They both serve the same purpose and share the same weaknesses.

Sorry, but this isn't very good. You need some Pokemon that can take hits. For a Physical wall, try Gliscor, Hippowdon, or Skarmory. For a Special wall, try Blissey, Snorlax, or Milotic. Although to be honest, you're best off scrapping this team and starting from scratch.

Oh, and what everyone else said.

Mate, as a fellow battler.............YOU NEED SOME WALLS! (cough&brainscough)

~M51

That wasn't necessary Mullac. Refrain from insulting others. Next time I see that and you're going to get a warning.

That wasn't me that typed that...:(

I had my friend over at the time. Thankyou though, I will get back to him...

NEVER use 2-5 attacks unless you have Skill Link. Dig, Fly, etc. sucks. Water gun.....have you SEEN Armaldo's Special Attack Stat????

Kingdra
Ability: Sniper
Level: 67
Item: Mystic Water
Moves:
Hydro Pump
Dragon Pulse
Surf
Dragon Dance

Stragedy: mostly teams up with Armaldo, dragon pulse is very powerful for her, and i use surf on 1 on 1

Hydro Pump and Surf is redundant; use Surf. Also, DD is pretty good, but you have NO Physical attacks...making it useless.

Charizard
Level: 73
Ability: Blaze
Item: none
Moves:
Flamethrower
Flare Blitz Dragon Pulse
Fly Focus Blast
Blast Burn Air Slash

Stragedy: He's my tanker pokemon, if fire isnt effective i use fly. i only use blast burn when im pissed off >=D

Hyper Beam moves fail. Also, haveing three zfire moves is redundant. Also, remember that Fly, Dig, etc. suck.

Salamence
Level: 72
Item: none
ability: Intimidate
Moves:
Dragon Claw
Strength
Earthquake
Fly

Stragedy: by far my most powerful pokemon. 1 Dragon Claw and they r down for the count.

What? HMs?

Dragonite
Level: 63
Ability: Inner Focus
Item: none
Moves:
Draco Meteor
Dragon Dance
Dragon Rush Claw
Slam T/F-Punch

Stragedy: This gets complicated... I use Draco Meteor only as last resort, and Dragon dance to power up Dragon Rush, and slam. if the opponet has high speed or used an evasive move (like Double Team) i use slam because Dragon rush has bad hit ratio.

Uh...Slam has the same accuracy. Also, Claw over Rush, T/F-Punch over Slam. Draco Meteor is fine....but you might want to replace it. Also, Salamence AND Dragonite is redundant; choose one.

Tyranitar
Level: 68
Ability: Sand Stream
Item: None
Moves:
Stone Edge
Crunch
Earthquake
Thrash I/T/F-Fang

stragedy: Deals damage and takes none pretty simple

OK. I/F/T-Fang over Thrash.

plz be nice im not very good with teams

Yeah, you aren't really good with teams. And stop saying stragedy, it's strategy :P

El Gofre November 23rd, 2007 4:33 AM

Yeah this team fails. Not only are there too many sweepers, but giving them dig/fly makes their speed redundant. here's a couple of suggestions:
*Your team needs to cut down on sweepers and build a bit off defence. Keep salemence for special sweeper, tyranitar for physical (And give him DDance). Armaldo can make a nice tank, but you need some walls and a spinner. speaking of which...
*Your team gets nailed by SR. Its going to shread through most of your pokes before an attack is even dealt, especially charizard. Get a spinner, possibly claydol.
*Spend some time looking at EV training. Anyone in this site will tell you it is the key to winning.

There, done :)

The Format is so hard to read..

Kingdra @ Life Orb ** Sea Dragon
Trait: Swift Swim
EV's: 252 Atk / 240 SAtk / 16 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Surf
- Rain Dance
- Watefall
- Dragon Pulse. :P

Yay for Mixedra! That's my personal favorite. It surprises the heck out of Blissey.

Mi!otic November 23rd, 2007 12:17 PM

Hmm... these are some pretty decent Pokemon/movesets, but the types need to be more varied. For instance, a standard Milotic/Swampert/bulkyWater (Surf/IceBeam) can easily beat the living daylights out of Charizard, Salamence, *possibly* Tyranitar, and Dragonite. I don't know if someone's said this already, but you should probably consider revamping your Team's types. :D

Holy Crap. Once again, this breaks Rule #1 of Team Rater's Rules.
