Rate My Team!

Rate my team please – This is not meant to be extremely competitive, Its just Pokemon I really want to use, but I don't want to have a crappy team so please help me with the move sets and other things.

Flygon
Admant nature
Leftovers
Moveset:
- Flamethrower
- Dragonclaw
- Earthquake
- Crunch
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SAtk

Sceptile – Can I use him as a special sweeper if I was to battle?
Timid or Modest nature
Petaya Berry
Moveset:
- Dragonclaw
- Leafblade
- Crunch
- Leech Seed
EVs: Max out special attack and speed.

Tentacruel
Hasty nature
Leftovers
Moveset:
- Sludge Bomb
- Sword Dance
- Hydro Pump

Evs: 252 Atk/ 148 Spd/ 110 SDef

And I KNOW I want a Weezing, but don't know a good moveset for him, maybe you guys could help me out. And I am looking for a good non chansey spdefence wall Dusknoir maybe?

sims796 November 21st, 2007 5:15 AM

There's only three here. Flygon can't have Adamant AND Flamethrower-Adamant lowers Flamethrower too much. Use Naughty, or Naive.

Sora_8920 November 21st, 2007 5:21 AM

Ársa November 21st, 2007 5:24 AM

[email protected]/Black Sludge
Bold
252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Spd

Taunt/Pain Split
Sludge Bomb/Explosion
WoW
Destiny Bond/Explosion/Pain Split

Taunt is great in setting up a suicide with Destiny Bond. Sludge Bomb with stab. WoW to annoy physical Sweepers and you can have curse to run on a higher attack. Explosion over Destiny Bond if you wanna be sure about it. Pain Split for more recovery, and to allow a kill on a Max Defense Blissey...:)

Works great on a Trick Room team with pokemon such as Bronzong.

Destiny Bond isn't really that great of a move on anything to be honest.

Well thanks kindly sir. That was like a complete transformation of mine! Haha, this is why I share my teams with you guys, kuz I suck at building teams.

Well do you have any ideas for a special wall I can use that is not chansey

sims796 November 21st, 2007 5:28 AM

I could have sworn that Weezing had Fire Blast, but I'm honestly not sure.

Milotic can work well. It works great in both 4th and 3rd Gen.

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers **Sea Serpant
Trait: Marvel Scale
EV's: 148 HP / 240 Def 120 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hypnosis
- Recover.

Or,

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers **Sea Serpant
Trait: Marvel Scale
EV's: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam / Toxic
- Rest
- Sleep Talk. The more defensive Set. Meant to abuse Marvel Scale. Also, the nickname was optional. And I could actually find a Name for that one. :P Edit: @ Sims, that was on the more special attacking set. :p

Azonic November 21st, 2007 5:44 AM

I'm going to point out that Garchomp learns all of the moves that Flygon gets in a moveset, yet Garchomp can probably do the job better.

sims796 November 21st, 2007 5:51 AM

Regardless, Flygon is good enough if one wants to use it. Plus, Flygon is more defensive. Immune to EQ, Spikes, & has Roost. So its a matter of personal preference.

Yea I do know that Garchomp may be better, or more offencive. But I really do just want to use Flygon, because I have used Garchomp before.

Eleventyseventy November 21st, 2007 2:51 PM

Curselax is another nice special wall.

[email protected]
Trait: Thick Fat
Nature: Careful/Impish/Adament
EVS: 140 HP, 72 Def, 252 Sp Def, 44 Atk
~Return/Body Slam
~Curse
~Crunch/Earthquake
~Rest

Anti November 21st, 2007 3:12 PM

Um, Flygon is SO better tyhan garchomp. But people will go after me for saying that, so never mind...

For curselax, Careful is standard, and it needs about 30 or so more Atk EVs (out of SDef).

What do you think is better for a special wall, Milotic or Snorlax?\

EDIT: Ok here is my updated team, I owe ALOT of help to Itachi2007 and everyone else who posted here

Sceptile (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EV's: 252 Spd / 56 HP / 200 Def
Jolly / Timid Nature Nature

Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EV's: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 18 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Poison Jab
- Substitute.

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EV's: 252 Atk / 120 SAtk / 136 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Stone Edge
- Draco Meteor.

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EV's: 148 HP / 240 Def 120 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hypnosis
- Recover.

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shell Armor
EV’s: 252 HP / 92 Def / 8 Spd / 156 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Rapid Spin

I picked Cloyster for my Defensive wall kuz I just like him. Please help me with the move set I made for it.

Um, a subseeder sceptile without SAtk EVs simply fails.

Weezing (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Levitate
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Will-o-Wisp
- Haze
- Pain Split.

Don't really see the point of Speed EVs on it, but okay.

Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EV's: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 18 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Poison Jab
- Substitute.

Um, this set is really messed up. Especiall the EVs :/ If you want entacruel to be of use, rapid spin might be nice, not to mention running careful with WAY more SDef EVs, so it can actually take a hit...

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EV's: 252 Atk / 120 SAtk / 136 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Stone Edge
- Draco Meteor.

Needs more Spd. Switch Atk and Spd EVs.

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EV's: 148 HP / 240 Def / 120 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hypnosis
- Recover.

Er, I'd invest in some more HP EVs.

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shell Armor
EV’s: 252 HP / 92 Def / 8 Spd / 156 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Rapid Spin

Weezing accomplishes the same thing...and cloyster has enough trouble taking physical attacks, giving it a lousy 92 Def EVs isn't helping. Take out the bulk of those SAtk EVs and put them into Def.

I picked Cloyster for my Defensive wall kuz I just like him. Please help me with the move set I made for it.

Weezing IS a physical wall :/ Most of the problems were in the EVs, which were pretty bad IMO. But the sets were genrally good.

Eh, tantacruel might want more of a...defensive moveset.

Arsibiyez November 22nd, 2007 6:41 AM

Cruel can Haze at the cost of Spinning. =/

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
Bold Nature
- Haze
- Knock Off
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric / Grass] / Mirror Coat

Hahaha... Suicune Counter. <3

oreo November 22nd, 2007 7:00 AM

actually itachi, d-bond is a GREAT move on gengar, but not on a weezing.

[email protected] sludge
bold
Levitate
(252 def, 152 hp, 100 s.attk)

Pain Split
Thunder bolt
Flamethrower
W-o-W

this weezing defeats almost ANY phisical sweep, it also packs a punch that can easily ohko a gyarados.

Hmm. I really disagree with the fact that D-Bond is great on Gengar.. But i'm always disagreeing. Like Anti.. :P

Anti November 22nd, 2007 9:32 AM

Love the suicune counter thing ;)

And if you use destiny bond while switching is occuring (bad prediction basically), you'll give away the surprise and the foe can plan around it. Gengar is meant to sweep, not get in a prediction war with somebody else with...

sims796 November 22nd, 2007 9:53 AM

I came JUST in time. It doesn't need too much SPD for Choice Scarfing. Thats good enough.
