He is worth the trouble of Breeding, seeing as Magmar only learn his best moves through it. Either that, or TMs or Move Tutor. Magmar has sweeping potential.

Magmar @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Thunderpunch
- Confuse Ray
- Hidden Power [Grass]

As for Breeding for the best IVs for Hidden Power [Grass / 70], I wish you the best of luck. All Fire Pokemon benefit from having a Grass-type move since it covers all their weaknesses.

Er, what gen? I'll stick to my strongest, ADV...

Magmar @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Flamethrower
- Cross Chop / Focus Punch
- Thunderpunch / Confuse Ray
- Hidden Power [Ice]

If you run Focus punch and confuse ray, ray causes a switch and focus punch to nail the incoming pokemon. HP Ice because I don't believe it can learn ICe punch. It's a nice UUer.

And er, you'll have to rebreed for a better nature, since yours kinda sucks.

Yes, Anti, this is 3rd gen. =]

And, no, it can't learn Ice Punch, sadly.
More of a late-game sweeper, if you ask me. But your set looks like early-gamer. Better than mine, IMHO. ^_^
