TRAINER'S BLOCK! Help me decide the newest member of the Muffin Men.

Okay, no that my fountain of BL and below pokes are running decrepid, I would love some advice on any pokemon to breed and raise as new additions on my team.

I am willing to create any pokemon with the exception of thoose pain in the rear end "zomg not another predictable stratagy" Ou poke!

Pretty much this list is exclusive from infernapes, Chomps, Bliss-whores, Skarms, and anything else 80% of all trainers retain.

So I would love to know what pokemon I should raise :o

[email protected] Belt
Mild
252 HP, 176 Sp. Atk, 80 Atk

Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Substitute/WoW
Focus Punch

A great sub-puncher that can surprise Blissey. Rarely used, unlike its cousin, but I have actually swept teams 6-0 with this guy...:)

I like that one a lot. :D

I'm going to breed it along with this Golduck
Golduck @ Leftovers
Adament

Hypnosis
Substitute
Focus Punch
Hydro Pump

Thanks for the advice.

No worries...:)

It is a truly great pokemon. :) As I said, I have swept many teams with it.

Or my Personal Favourite at the Moment...
Miltank @ Lefties (It's BL isnt it?
Impish | 252 HP, 200 Def, 56 Spd
~Scrappy
-Milk Drink
-Heal Bell
-EarthQuake
-Body Slam

EDIT: Why doenst Golduck have Waterfall/AquaTail? If you are running adamant, then thats what you want.

Shiny November 23rd, 2007 3:31 AM

Ohh go with Butterfree:

Butterfree @ Salac Berry
Timid Nature
Solarbeam
Sunny Day
Psychich
Hidden Power [Fire]

Ársa November 23rd, 2007 3:33 AM

Butterfree is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too fragile to run a sunnybeam set...

Shiny November 23rd, 2007 3:35 AM

Aww fine but then some other bug pokemon

Does'nt he want BL/UU? I thought Yanmega was OU.

I think they are BL pokemon

Ársa November 23rd, 2007 4:24 AM

Kingdra surely must be OU.... I have seen ove 15 in my battles, and they are very popular...

~M51

Archer November 23rd, 2007 4:25 AM

Draco Meteor AND Dragon Pulse seem kind of redundant on something that wil have to switch out anyway... Maybe Swap Pulse for Signal Beam/Ice Beam

Toothache November 23rd, 2007 4:29 AM

Hypno @ Leftovers
Trait: Insomnia
EV: 252 HP / 120 Def / 48 SpAtt / 88 SpDef
Nature: Bold
Wish
Barrier/Reflect/Light Screen/Protect
Psychic
Grass Knot/Focus Blast/Shadow Ball

Wish is an NYPC move for Hypno, so you're not very likely to find one. Anyway, this thing is the ultimate Breloom counter (I even replaced Blissey on my shoddy team to make room for this guy). Not the heaviest hitting psychic type out there, but with nice defences, Insomnia for sleep absorb, resistance to fighting, and the ability to increase it's defence with Reflect/Barrier, Hypno is an awesome UU pokemon that can really do well with Breloom being so common.

Um. On a Choice Set like that, it's effective. And it's like running Specsmence, who can put a large dent in Teams.

Samson November 23rd, 2007 11:12 AM

that subpunch golduck set just won't do =/

i give it scarf and it's quite funny to see it wreak surprise havoc on teams XD it's actually pretty bulky too.

but hey! you could run a wide lens set:

Golduck @ Wide Lens
Lonely/Naughty/Brave Nature
216 ATK/124 SPD/48 SP ATK/120 HP
-Hydro Pump
-Cross Chop
-Shadow Claw/Zen Headbutt
-Hypnosis/Substitute

looks like fun to me.

if you have any questions on any other pokes, feel free to ask me.

Anti November 23rd, 2007 11:16 AM

Miltank is OU for the record. And focus blast over WoW or sub on magmortar, add scarf. that's my 'ol set and it was great. and no, scarf isn't for focus punch :/ Somebody said that a while back and just thought I'd poitn that out.

Actually, Milktank is BL.

Anti November 23rd, 2007 11:19 AM

It was OU in ADV. But it SHOULD be OU. Anything that can bell, tank, and even sweep like teh tank can is worthy of OU status.

Maybe it was lowered in 4th Gen due to Close Combat and Focus blast. O_O

Anti November 23rd, 2007 11:31 AM

I guess blissey should be BL then. So should snorlax :/ Miltank can actually take a physical hit, unlike these two puffballs.

Actually, Blissey is 2HKO'd by focus Balst, not sure on Snorlax.. But waht about Focus Blast on Miltank. O_O Yeah, that's got to be the reason why most of the Normals got lowered. :/

Samson November 23rd, 2007 11:38 AM

it just doesn't have astronomical hp like they do. both can function as dual walls, but it has to depend on thunderwave to stay alive.

and uh... NO. blissey is not 2HKOd by focus blast ._.

Anti November 23rd, 2007 11:38 AM

Um, focus blast from what? and normal types still have plenty of power this gen. Whoever told you they didn't...just no. There's something called a "normal resist" and many pokemon (like gengar) can lol at focus blast.

TP-BigWill November 23rd, 2007 10:06 PM

Hmmm

Well all good advice, as far as the Golduck goes, I'm sticking to that moveset so I can prevent myself from being walled off.

Only thing is that I need an Atk boosting nature but Im questioning on going -Def or -spd nature. : /
