Porygon-Z usually should have Thunderbolt for the BoltBeam combo over HP [FIGHTING].

Earthquake > Stone Edge since Earthquake has a much more reliable accuracy and due to coverage.

Changed. Any other suggestions?

Right off the hook, I see three pokemon weak to Electric. And including BoltBeam, that would make four.

O_o Would running Lanturn be a good idea? Heck, would Tyranitar be a good idea?

Azonic November 23rd, 2007 6:18 AM

Well, Tyranitar only adds up to a denting Electivire weakness.

Hm.. Electrivire and Bolt-Beam.. Claydol? Bolt-Beam doesn't hurt him that much.

Azonic November 23rd, 2007 6:22 AM

Well, the "beam" part does xD

Yeah. But he can survive a few turns against it. And I could use Explosion, which will either put a large dent in Starmie, or another Bolt-Beamer, or OHKO it. :P

Anti November 23rd, 2007 8:45 AM

Claydol lols at Vire. It can take two ice punches, and you usually only need to take one ;)

And yeah, the controls are much harder. I lost a battle forgeting to scarf my Medicham :0

evilcheese November 23rd, 2007 8:46 AM

if you need a claydol set here:

Claydol @leftovers**DaBomb
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Defense / 80 SDefense
- Earthquake
- Icebeam /psychic
- Explosion

Anti November 23rd, 2007 8:53 AM

Hmm. Might be useful for not getting Ko'ed. And for maxium survivability. So who should I replace?

Dusknoir is like a Mixed Wall, and um.. Will-o-Wisp is useful for Physical Sweepers, who try to wreck havoc on any Team. :P

Magnezone is an awesome Boltbeam counter. I'm in love with using Magnezone. I'm liking your team though. Battle me if you see me on Shoddy. I'd like to test your team out.

Hmm. I'll battle you. I'll PM you. Magnezone seems great. And he isn't in danger of being Ko'ed with Ice Beam. :P So this is my Team...

Needs more Sp.Def

Standard, dual wall Claydol....

[email protected]
252 HP / 114 DEF / 144 SP.DEF
Relaxed Nature
- Earthquake / Earth Power
- Stealth Rock / Reflect / Light Screen / Stone Edge / Ice Beam / Toxic / Rest / Explosion
- Rapid Spin
- Psychic

I believe this 100% needs psychic IMO to catch Gengar on the switch in whom often tries to block Raid Spin.

Earthquake and Earth Power for your standard STAB move.

Rapid Spin is self explanatory

Now the second slot, Stealth Rock, Reflect, Light Screen for team support, Stone Edge to chip away at Weavile and Gyarados (2HKO on Weavile with no att ev investment), Ice Beam for Bulky ground types and Dragons, Toxic to wear down Dusknoir, Spiritomb and Cresselia etc, Rest can be abused if you have an Aromatherapist, Explosion if you must, to go out with a bang.

EDIT: Too late, your using Magnezone now.

Sora_8920 November 23rd, 2007 10:39 AM

What's the point of sub and magnet rise? The whole point of sub is so you have a free turn to smash EQers with HP ice, namely dugtrio.

Yeah. I think i'll run Thunder Wave. *Edits*. Edit: Would that be a good idea?

Anti November 23rd, 2007 10:49 AM

Yeah, that's probably the best replacement over magnet rise.
