Any suggestions on holding items of movesets...please tell me :)

Anti November 25th, 2007 12:26 PM

Um, the max ammount of EVs you can use is 510 ;/

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:27 PM

?

How can you max out that high?

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:28 PM

And those items, are not very good at all. Any items like SplashPlate that only increase moves of one type suck, becuas you should only have one attacking move of one type on eahc Poke, for the most part. Each stat can only have a max of 252 EVs, and 510 overall.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:29 PM

What items do you recommend??

Anti November 25th, 2007 12:29 PM

Actually the max per stat is 255, but yeah, 252 does the same thing ;)

Erm, nuetral natures are bad. REALLY bad :/

EDIT: Put leftovers on EVERYTHING for now-we'll get you better items later, but you can never go wong with lefties, except shedninja ;)

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:31 PM

Yeah... lol so does anyone recommend any items

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:32 PM

Hmm, well Im no expert on the items of ANY of your pokes. Im usually good at that.

Dragonite-Leftovers/Yache Berry
Tyranitar-Leftovers? 0_o
Garchomp-Choice Scarf/Life Orb
Alakazam-Wise Glasses?
Swampert-Lefotvers, know that one
Jolteon-??? No clue

Thanks for being new, and not being obnoxious! (Im actually serious, most new members are SO annoying)

Anti November 25th, 2007 12:32 PM

Read my edit...

And take out one of your dragons and probably jolteon, and add two walls. Nothign on your team can take a hit besides swampert.

EDIT: Jolteon does fine with lefties or a pinch berry for the subpassers.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:34 PM

who should i replace jolteon for??

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:35 PM

A special wall, like Blissey or Cresselia etc.

Anti November 25th, 2007 12:36 PM

A WALL.

In case you don't know what a wall is, it's something that is meant to take physical hits (physical walls), special hits (special walls), or any hit (mixed walls) and take minimal damage. Skarmory is a great physical wall, blissey a tremendous special wall, and claydol = win as a mixed wall ;)

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:39 PM

im thinking replacing jolteon with Blissy...

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:42 PM

That is a very wise decision. Blissey in there will do your team some serious good.

Blissey-Lefotvers
Bold-252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Spdef (it NEEDS the defense)
Softboiled
Aromatherapy
Ice Beam
Seismic Toss

Thats the normal set, and I like it Aromathepary removes ANY status inflictions on your team, a very handy tool, seismic toss is difficult to get, its a Emerald Move Tutor or Egg Move, I forget, And Ice Beam TM, Softboiled learns.

Anti November 25th, 2007 12:42 PM

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers ** Nurse of Death
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk or SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Thunder Wave / Ice Beam
- Seismic toss / Ice Beam
- Softboiled

Ice beam is great for McGar and dugtrio.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:44 PM

which nature do you think blissey is best at??

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:45 PM

Bold, 100% BOLD! Actually, its pretty much the only nature it can use.

Anti November 25th, 2007 12:45 PM

Um, we both posted bold, which tells us what? Bold

EDIT: Um, no. Calm is actually needed for the uber tier ;)

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:48 PM

Yeah, but then you get tackled by a rattata and die, she NEEDS the defense.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:49 PM

haha alright...Bold it is!..... Any More Suggestions??

IN THE UBER TIER. Um, without max SDef, good luck with specstwo ;/

And yeah, you still need another wall, this time a physical wall like steelix or skarmory.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:54 PM

do you think a rhyperior would work??

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 12:57 PM

Rhyperior is a tank, not exactly a wall, and he does the same thing as Swampert. Skarmory and Blissey make a GREAT combo, SkarmBliss.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 12:59 PM

so basically a skarmory is the way to go... but who should i get rid of?? i already got rid of jolteon

Anti November 25th, 2007 1:01 PM

Garchomp or dragonite. Since they both are loled at by starmie and the likes.

Eos Aduro November 25th, 2007 1:03 PM

Garchomp and Dragonite do the same thing basically.

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 3:23 PM

Wall Pokemon?

Which pokemon would be best.... skarmory, aggron, bastidon, dusknoir, steelix

Um. Skarmory/Steelix/Dusknoir.. The others.. Kinda fail..

ShadowAzelf November 25th, 2007 3:31 PM

Put Noir over Chomp, this is what it should look like-

Dusknoir @Leftovers
Careful/Impish Nature
EVs:200def/200spdef/108attk

Shadow Sneak
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Seismic Toss/Earthquake/Fire Punch

airconditioning November 25th, 2007 3:32 PM

No, Dusk has 65 base HP- that needs to be maxed out before doing ANYTHING else.

ShadowAzelf November 25th, 2007 3:33 PM

Then what's the point of Pain Split if it has HP?

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 3:34 PM

basically now im thinking either dusknoir or skarmory

airconditioning November 25th, 2007 3:35 PM

Dusk can't Pain Split if he's OHKO'd from the Poke he's supposed to wall. Besides, his HP is so low that it won't make much of a difference.

Sora_8920 November 25th, 2007 3:35 PM

I would listen to airconditioning, ShadowAzelf.

ShadowAzelf November 25th, 2007 3:37 PM

I'd reccomend Skarm, the Spikes/Stealth Rock can help you out and seeing how your team is taken out by a DDTar, then, it'll kinda help you out.

Oh... didn't see that <.<... please, ignore me, the noob... but, yeah, use Skarm

Faceless* November 25th, 2007 3:39 PM

Definitely take out Surf and Crunch on Garchomp, use Swords Dance/Earthquake

Sora_8920 November 25th, 2007 3:41 PM

Or you could use ChainChomp:

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Trait: Sand Veil
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Draco Meteor
- Fire blast. Unless of course, Name, you want him to switch two moves out, because he already has fire blast and Draco meteor. But I dont know. 0_o

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 3:50 PM

so im thinking of having blissy duskinor dragonite swampert alakazam tyranitar

Blissey and Dusknoir = no. And all you have are Sweepers as the Rest of your team. A big no

Anti November 25th, 2007 3:52 PM

Itachi, last I checked swampert isn't a sweeper :/

Sora_8920 November 25th, 2007 3:53 PM

Yeah, but he runs one set as a Sweeper w/ Adamant. Edit: And what about the Mixed Set?

bmac2 November 25th, 2007 3:54 PM

so instead maybe blissy dragonite alakazam swampert rhyperior and tyranitar

Anti November 25th, 2007 3:54 PM

Mixpert is WAY better than any other pert set, seeing as I've used all of them ;)

My Netbattle is shaky, I'll edit in a moveset when I can.

EDIT: Adding rhyperior only makes grass knot destroy your team even more.

Anti November 25th, 2007 3:58 PM

Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SAtk
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

Almost the same as my Set. 0_o Except mine is a little different, and from 4th gen.

Anti November 25th, 2007 8:00 PM

That set works in both generations. Hydro pump is oh so fun to use when weezing and skarm think they're all tough :P
