Samson November 25th, 2007 11:36 PM

no. no, it can't work. =/

Eleventyseventy November 26th, 2007 12:29 AM

ah poop..

Are you sure?

Samson November 26th, 2007 8:43 AM

if you gave blastoise choice scarf and got rid of trapinch, you could come *close* to winning a battle once in a while. just never actually win XD

the evs and movesets need major fixing too.

Anti November 26th, 2007 6:51 PM

Running sweeper sets on wall pokemon like blastoise won't do ya much good...and BTW, trapinch is a beast with CB and arena trap ;)

Only in NU, though. One of the best members of that tier, IMO. Any soft Pokemon that isn't Ghost, Steel, or Rock can easily fall prey to Arena Trap + CB + Quick Attack.

Here's a wierd thing you might not EVER hear me say again: Turn Shuckle into a Sweeper.

It sounds wierd but once you get a Power Trick move, there is hardly anything you can do to stop that ferocious beast with a whopping 230 Base Attack Stat.

Weavile, Zam, and Gengar do just fine without defense thank you very much. though that never works, the sweeper trick with shuckle. It just never does.

Eleventyseventy November 27th, 2007 7:32 PM

If you're against a special sweeper it might..

With that speed, 230 Base Attack would matter as much as 23 Base Attack....unless a Trick Roomer is employed.

Jordan.

Arcknight316 November 27th, 2007 8:22 PM

Shuckle + Power Trick + Trick Room =
A 230 base Attacker that almost always goes first!

And if you add Gyro Ball....let's not go that far =P

Samson November 27th, 2007 8:27 PM

if you give it gyro ball, skarmory and bronzong still wall it. stone edge might do some considerable damage to skarmory, but it just whirlwinds it away anyway. bronzong just all around walls the guy. same guys for hippow.

n3croart November 27th, 2007 8:33 PM

Trapinch?! WTF?! Flygon thank you very much please.

Eleventyseventy November 27th, 2007 8:47 PM

Does Flygon look like a turtle to you?

meh.. I'll have Flygon anyway. It still counts coz it comes from a turtle :P

Now updated with changes in bold! ^_^
Anyone care to help out my team?

Sora_8920 November 28th, 2007 4:33 AM

Not really. Keep in mind blastoise actually has higher SDef than Def ;/

Its a Trick Room team . . . whats ur point? O_o

Trapinch is actually pretty good on a Trick Room team. Its Attack stat is pretty high,

If I were you, I'd squeeze in Stealth Rock somewhere amongst your pokemon.

Done.

Do you think it would work well on Torkoal?
Any other changes I should make?

Anti November 28th, 2007 7:23 PM

Endure + Choice Band is pretty fail ;) Trapinch can...well, trap blisset at least ;)

Eleventyseventy November 28th, 2007 7:27 PM

How about Endure + Liechi Berry? That'd work pretty well.
Or should I just stick with Choice Band and change Endure?

What I bolded would be the most beneficial. CB it. 100 Atk + CB = epic win.

Cool, thanks :)

Anything else you think needs major fixing Anti-pop?

Anti November 28th, 2007 7:30 PM

I wouldn't advise superpower on torterra.

I am pretty sure he did not ran a Trick-Roomer prior to my post.

For Shuckle, go ahead and give it wrap over Earthquake and Gyro Ball. (Secondary effect does a lot more damage.) Also, consider Substitute over Protect (emphasize consider)

Jordan.
