Ice punch for Noir

[email protected] orb
252spd/ 172spatk/86atk
Grass knot
Nasty plot
flare blitz/ flamethrower
close combat

Spice Curry November 26th, 2007 3:58 PM

Oh god, why are you even considering Fly on Skarmory?

--copied and pasted from something I posted in a previous thread--

- HM moves, except Surf and Waterfall in some cases, are terrible. Fly is one of the worst. It uses two turns, allowing your opponent to switch in something that resists it while you take one turn to fly up into the air. And it doesn't even have 100% accuracy, which adds even more to its suckage factor.

Yeah, so don't use Fly. Ever. Please.

As for the flaming monkey, I've got some options for ya:

[Infernape] @Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Ability: Blaze
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge/Thunderpunch

Standard Swords Dance sweeper.

If you want the Choice Banded version, though...

[Infernape] @Choice Band
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Ability: Blaze
-Flare Blitz
-Close Combat
-Thunderpunch
-Stone Edge

Same as above, just without Swords Dance and with a different item.

EDIT: The two I posted are for physical sweepers, though. If you want a MIXED Sweeper, go with ultranerd's set above. =3

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 3:59 PM

Lol steel wing and Fly Lol.

Skamrory (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Keen Eye
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Drill Peck
- Spikes. ;)

only problem with your infernape is that u put on Attack and Special Attacks on him ad i'd rather he be just attack or just Sp.attack

Well for atk scroll up for spatk you have no bliss counter but just replace CC with hidden power ice/ fighting

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:03 PM

Actually, Infernape ruins Mixed well. It's to destroy SkarmBliss. And I'd prefer it anyday.

J-Dubb November 26th, 2007 4:06 PM

ok i'll consider that on bothe Nape and Skaormy thanks

are the rest ok or no?

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:09 PM

Although, I'd run Close combat / Flamethrower or Fire Blast / Nasty Plot / Grass knot. Just a minor change ;) EV's: 24 Atk / 252 SAtk / 232 Spd.

Spice Curry November 26th, 2007 4:10 PM

Screech and Substitute on Flygon? That's a little weird. Why not Stone Edge in one of those slots instead?

ultranerd57 November 26th, 2007 4:11 PM

OMG

Flygon
252spd/ 252atk/ 6hp
Adamant
Stone edge
EQ
U-turn
Dragon claw

I think that works.

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:12 PM

I'd run this for Flygon Choice Scarf. EV's: 252 Atk / 120 SAtk / 136 Spd. Earthquake / U-Turn / Stone Edge / Draco Meteor. ;)

J-Dubb November 26th, 2007 4:13 PM

well i used screech on flygon cause i use spikes from Skarormy Then screech with flygon lowerig there defense so Eq will destroy them so they switch were spikes hits them

thought i can drop sub

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:15 PM

Nononnononono! Never use Screech. Never. Just use my Set. ;)

Screech doesn't work on a sweeper they're meent to raep/ murder the opposition if you wait a turn lowering def then you will get pwnd.

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:18 PM

Yep. They're meant to well.. Like the name implies, Sweep through the opponents Team.. Destroy everything as fast as possible. Walls counter them, though. So, don't use too many Sweepers. ;)

ultranerd57 November 26th, 2007 4:18 PM

If you chose his set run a hasty nature not
adamant. ( not sure if you caught that)

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:20 PM

No, actually, run Naughty Nature. ;)

J-Dubb November 26th, 2007 4:27 PM

ok thanks for the help with those 3 guys thats why i posted this so i can change things before i stat to do stuff

but are

T-tar
slowbro
Dusknoir

ok or they next on the you total screwed up there moveset list

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:30 PM

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Trait: Sandstream
Quiet Nature (+Satk, -Spd)
- Thunderbolt
- Dark Pulse
- Substitute
- Focus Punch. Tyraniboah.

J-Dubb November 26th, 2007 4:34 PM

i don't get why T-tar would be sp att seeing as he has a much stronger attack stat

airconditioning November 26th, 2007 4:34 PM

Slowbro @Lefties
Bold
216 HP/ 252 Def/ 40 SAtk
-Calm Mind
-Surf
-Ice Beam/ Psychic
-Slack Off

CMBro.

Dusknoir @ Lefties
Careful Nature
252 HP/ 180 SDef/ 78 Def
-Fire Punch/ Thunderpunch
-Shadow Sneak
-Will o Wisp
-Pain Split

You shouldn't EV walls in two stats. They need to be more diverse. However, almost all walls need max HP.

EDIT: That's the Tyraniboah set. It's for killing physical walls that love to try and wall TTar.

ok thanks for the help on understanding t-tar and slowbro

but why would i up Dusknoir's hp so much if i'm going to pain split him down to my level (Unless it still is low after that ev'ing?)

Shiraishi November 26th, 2007 4:40 PM

Don't make that mistake of not Maxxing out 'Noir's HP just because it has pain split :/ It'll probably get 2 Hit KOd by everything without HP EVs. Dusknoir's max HP is 294 wich is horrible...

airconditioning November 26th, 2007 4:40 PM

Because there's no point in Pain Splitting if Dusknoir's already dead. He's a wall. Besides, his HP is so low already that it really won't make much of a difference.

I'd listen to him. Seriously.

J-Dubb November 26th, 2007 4:43 PM

ok i actually started to think that threw after i posted it but thanks anyways for telling me

also

my team now looks like

Skamrory
Impish Nature
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Drill Peck
- Spikes

Infernape
Jolly Nature
Grass knot
Nasty plot
flamethrower
close combat

Flygon
Naughty
Stone edge
EQ
U-turn
Dragon claw

Tyranitar
Quiet
- Thunderbolt
- Dark Pulse
- Substitute
- Focus Punch.

Slowbro
Bold
216 HP/ 252 Def/ 40 SAtk
-Calm Mind
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Slack Off

Dusknoir @ Lefties
Careful Nature
-Thunderpunch
-Shadow Sneak
-Will o Wisp
-Pain Split

that look good to u guys

ultranerd57 November 26th, 2007 4:46 PM

Naughty is on Flygon for Draco Meteor.

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 4:48 PM

Okay, no Jolly on MixedApe. Ever. Naive please.

airconditioning November 26th, 2007 4:48 PM

You might want a Special wall. Skarm's physical, Dusknoir's mixed, and Slowbro's physical (although he can take Special hits after a few Calm Minds). Perhaps you could replace Bro with Milotic?

Milotic @ Lefties
Bold
148 HP/ 240 Def/ 120 SAtk
-Surf
-Ice Beam/ Hidden Power [Electric/ Grass]
-Recover
-Hypnosis

right forgot about that my bad naive it is

Waffle-San November 26th, 2007 5:15 PM

Well you have two mixed sweepers in TTar and Nape. Nape is the mroe effective Skarmbliss counter to say the least but TTar isn't as predicted. So I'd run the DD set on TTar. And Dusknoir can serve the purpose of Sp. Wall but it means cheating totally towards special with EV's and possibly nature.

You might want to consider replacing Someone for a Rapid Spinner or BPer. It's only an option though as your team is fairly solid.

Sora_8920 November 26th, 2007 5:16 PM

Actually, I think Slwobro's Special. And Milotic's Special as well. I'd prefer Steelix/Skarmory. Skarmory's defenmses make for a excellent Physical Wall.

airconditioning November 26th, 2007 5:18 PM

No, Slowbro has 80 SDef. He's only a Special Wall after he gets a Calm Mind or two.
