Lapras is very effective with dragon dance + waterfall. Add speed and power to its bulk and it is a tough poke to take down.

Houndoom666 November 28th, 2007 5:45 PM

Well at least I dont have as many errors as I did in Blissey. Thanx bro. Any more people?

Yeah, Waterfall is always a good move for Lapras. I used to use it allll the time in the G/S/C era. Dragon Dance ok. Damn Lapras will be good after some people help me make adjustments. Woot!

Yup it has enough HP to get decent amounts of health back from lefties.

Houndoom666 November 28th, 2007 6:16 PM

awesome. Ill have a badass Lapras once I get Wifi here in a few weeks and the first ill take on is......(well ill probably lose) But, I want to battle Anti pop culture warrior. I wanna see his team. Oh and is Lapras's nature good too?

Romance Hero November 28th, 2007 6:18 PM

hmm... My lapras if effective in taking down walls and annoying skarmory ^^

Lapras @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
with said EV's above, that's good enough.
Surf
T-Bolt
Confuse Ray
Ice Shard

Switch it in on a starmie at the right moment and you have yourself a fresh batch of HP :P I also do this in double battle with a poliwrath, Poli spamming surf and lapras sweeps.

Lucario is just personal preference, there is no wrong way to go with it, the ultimate beginner's advocate.

I'm confused by your moveset an physical and special attack?

But yeah Bold / Relaxed works for my set.

Houndoom666 November 28th, 2007 6:26 PM

Is the confuse ray really that good with him?

Ice shard I use with STAB to finish off pokemon that are on the brink of fainting, it works with my entire team, so don't worry about it. Often times, pokemon are faster than me, and they could pull off an attack before I can, so I use Ice Shard.

Why not? Confuse Ray is really just my thing, I don't see it much, people don't delve into status ailment with Lapras, but for me, it works. :)

For a annoyer set but I'd have two annoyer moves if you want confuse ray 'cause it wears of.
I.E: T-wave + Confuse ray = pissed of opponent.

Hm that makes sense then.
Well if you can use CR well then I guess it'd work too.

Houndoom666 November 28th, 2007 6:32 PM

lapras needs an evolution whadda u all think?

Romance Hero November 28th, 2007 6:35 PM

Not really, smexiest turtle alive, Lapras > shuckle :D btw, you gotta discuss this elsewhere. Also, I found avalanche to be good on a physical Lapras. I'm checking if it can learn aqua ring...

Unfortunately no aqua ring I don't recall if it can learn avalanche but if it can then I'm definately putting it on my previous Lapras. :p

Romance Hero November 28th, 2007 6:40 PM

It can, and since Lapras can take neutral hits, like nothing, it's good on it. I have a special Lapras, so mine didn't work.

That would be cool but it'd probably look all messed up. But Rhyperior in my opinion is ugly as crap and they shouldn't have made the evolution and just raised his stats but thats just me.

Just one more reason to love it I can't believe its BL.

Arcknight316 November 28th, 2007 7:23 PM

I know this is pointless, but....Anti plays NB (I think). And you'd never beat him, anyway. Not that I've tried.

I love how everybody thinks I'm invincible. My battle record is very good, but I've been 6-0ed quite a few times ;/

I'm more than beatable.

Let's try to keep this on topic, though I /AM/ irresistable ;)

Ok I think his ego might get inflated if we talk about him like this but if you make Lucario mixed since there are so many possibilities the opponent won't know what to expect from it.
Imagine a team of Lucarios with all different moves 0.o deadly but Vire weak.

i could just imagine a lucario with 252 HP and 252 DEF.....

as for anti, his egos inflated enough already

Anti November 28th, 2007 8:40 PM

My ego is much better than people think ;)

And a wall lucario is just no. If you want a wall that sucks, just for kicks, run physical wall dugtrio.

But seriously, special lucario is probably the best. IMO at least. Yeah, bliss walls you, but give me one pokemon that isn't walled by something

I can only think of CBblissey. XD

Sora_8920 November 29th, 2007 4:37 AM

CBBliss was a joke. And still, it was based around Attack. So, no way it'll be walling anything with that Set. ;)

Dark Azelf November 29th, 2007 4:49 AM

Choice Specs Luke is best imo

[email protected] Specs
252 SP.ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP
ability: Steadfast
Modest Nature
- Aura Sphere
- Dragon pulse / Hidden power Ice
- vacuum Wave / Psychic
- Dark pulse / Shadow Ball

Btw Aura Sphere is a 2hko on Bold 252 HP / 4 SP.DEF Standard Blissey.

It also pulls of an excellent Choice Band set.

[email protected] Band
ability: Steadfast
nature: Adamant
evs: 252atk/4def/252spd
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Blaze Kick / Extremespeed

Sora_8920 November 29th, 2007 11:46 AM

DA is 100% correct on Lucario. He also knows what he's talking about, so I would go with his advice.

Yeah I know I was joking when I said that.

Houndoom666 November 29th, 2007 2:36 PM

LOL what if there was a wall Weedle? XD

luke November 29th, 2007 2:45 PM

On topic please Houndoom. I'm a fan of Mixed Lucario myself, but with a Pokemon as versatile as Lucario, there are a lot of possibilities which have been posted already.

Houndoom666 November 29th, 2007 2:56 PM

Srry Mr Mod, Ill try not to get off topic and have you mop the floor with my dead lifeless ass. So I think on Lucario ill go ahead with the CB Lucario.

[email protected] Band
ability: Steadfast
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Blaze Kick / Extremespeed
