Yeah, though I'd put grass know over psychic for the epic win.

Shiraishi November 29th, 2007 7:27 PM

Grass knot is only useful against Swampert :/ Psychic lets me get the jump on Gengar who is a lil more common x.x

Careful nature with Dark pulse? You're kidding :/ I may use the set though.

Anti November 29th, 2007 7:29 PM

You already have a good gengar counter though, I'd run grass knot since swampert can tank and destroy teams even faster than gengar can, ironically with 60 base speed :P

Wait did that say careful ugh I'm goin' to bed now but at least I was some help. Maybe Modest instead.

Shiraishi November 29th, 2007 7:31 PM

True D: I 6-0d someone with Cursepert because he had a trick room team o.0

Sora_8920 November 30th, 2007 4:19 AM

Lol'ing at Steelix's name. I've seen that guy on Smogon. Anyways, Rest for a recover move over SR on Steelix.

Anti November 30th, 2007 12:34 PM

Steelix needs more Def EVs. I'd aim for 520-530, or that's where Il ike to go, usually pretty high up there because EQ is tough to take...

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 12:49 PM

EQ was THE reason why I stuck Cressy in there. I can't see myself using Rest >.> I'll be setup fodder.

Anti November 30th, 2007 12:53 PM

Well, your team needs a beller...I mean really.

And without means of recovery, just don't use steelix, ever. Just don't. It can't take that many hits :/

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 12:56 PM

I need someone to kill Weavile ._.; Perhaps Forry instead of Steelix.. There are only 3 bellers I can think of and none of them can fit in my team D: (Miltank, Bliss, Celebi..)

Articuno is my beller, awesome indeed. And you have to make a beller fit. None of my teams that have lacked a beller have done anything...

luke November 30th, 2007 12:58 PM

Lickitung is a beller *shot* Can't Starmie serve as his status absorber with its Natural Cure ability?

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:00 PM

Yea, but it's got Life orb :x o.0 Lickilicky. I can't see adding a beller without trashing the whole team ._.;

luke November 30th, 2007 1:03 PM

Oh, thought you were running Choice Specs. Oops. Well, now I'm stuck. Not sure what to suggest.

If your status absorber dies...though I genrally prefer both a status absorber and a cleric.

And it's very possibly. How would adding miltank trach this team?

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:07 PM

I thought long and hard about Miltank ._. He got OHKOd by Gengar X_x

You left it in? That's just a stupid play, miltank has 80 base SDef, it's nothing amazing. And last I checked blissey is OHKOed by heracross, its usage hasn't dropped.

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:12 PM

There wasn't anythng else ._.; Cresselia would get 3 Hit KOd(whoopie) Spiritomb covers Gengar/Azelf/Zam though D:

You lost me. But if spiritomb takes care of gengar, why are you so worried about it OHKOing Miltank? O_o

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:17 PM

Because I'd have to replace a sweeper for Miltank ._.;

And? My team has 2 sweepers and works just fine. And if you're worried about that still, get rid of spiritomb. because any status team would totally eat this team up and have plenty of room for dessert. Which is why you need a beller so much.

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:24 PM

Ok..so I hafta choose between getting eaten by Gengar or WoWs. :/ T-wave only really affects Infernape while WoWs cripples Garchomp. Gengar seems way more fearsome.

Gengar is easy to beat with prediction. Hitting it on the switch will take it out quickly. Just keep walling it hard, even if you have to switch a lot.

Dark Azelf November 30th, 2007 1:37 PM

I actually like pursuit on Spiritomb, it screw Gengar up bad.

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:45 PM

Alrighty, I'll give Miltank another go X_x 252 HP/252 Def/4 HP? Yay or Nay?o.0

you can't give it 256 HP EVs :/

I don't remember its spread, I'd look it up.

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 1:50 PM

Oops. I meant Atk. Looked it up, smogon suggest speed to beat T-tar :/ Might as well post the whole thing..

most gengars wouldn't switch out of spiritomb. 1. Hypnosis, 2. it 2HKOs spiritomb w/ STAB Shadow Ball.

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 2:56 PM

Sucker punch=Death for Gengar o_o

Gengar will switch as it cant do squat to Spiritomb. Also its not just for Gengar, switch this into specs Zam etc. and lol at them whilst they run away and Pursuit the hell out of it....

Defender HP: 304
Damage: 102 - 120
Damage: 33.55% - 39.47%

Shadow Ball does that do Spiritomb (bear in mind thats without lefties recovery). Dont underestimate Spiritomb it is one of the few pokemon that can take a Draco Meteor from a Specs Mence and live.

Shiraishi November 30th, 2007 3:23 PM

Meh, I tried Nasty plot Spiritomb and it failed horribly. I'm stickin with the standard one, it has Pain split X-x

luke November 30th, 2007 3:55 PM

I had no luck with the Nasty Plot Spiritomb as well. As you've already done, stick with the standard one.
