That's awesome.
Rock polish might be of some use.

I don't really think speed helps it much to be honest. With this, bliss can't Twave me really, so I see no use for it.

Besides, this is more meant for 3rd gen, but looking at it, it would work for shoddy. But only shoddy since the IVs have to be almost perfect :0

1.) Rock Polish is 4th gen. Omg. Why the heck do you people like 4th Gen so much. It's 3rd Gen. 2.) Regice can't learn Rock Polish. :/

I would go grammar police on you but I'm not in the mood. IT CAN WORK FOR 4TH GEN TOO.

Since I never mentioned specifically it was for 4th gen, you can't really blame him :/

So, overall thoughts on Regi-Boah / McIceReg? lol

And it looks like it'll be psych up...

Wow. Itachi, next time you go bazzurk, please be sure you're actually posting something accurate.

And anyways, let's get back on topic please. Any other suggestions / thoughts / changes you'd suggest?

Darkblade December 1st, 2007 4:47 PM

I would say Ice Beam, for that extra Boost of power, but psych up could work as well, if the opponent uses any power up moves, that is

Well, yeah, psych up IS for those annoying pests that power up like Calmcune and Curselax. Oh, and celebi. *Shakes fists at Celebi*

though beam is more for bulky ground types like swampert that otherwsie kind of wall me :0

Yeah if there weren't any pokemon in the opponents team using a stat boosting move it'd be useless.

But blissey or celebi are on at least 50% of all Netbattle teams, so it'll surely come in handy. and that's not even mentioning snorlax, CalmCune, and even Raikou.

Point taken I don't play ADV ( theres a thought) so I wouldn't know. Have fun pissing everyone off by usingbthere stuff against them. =]

Anti December 1st, 2007 4:59 PM

However, Psych up is actually fairly common on standard Regice anyways, sao it wouldn't really surprise them by any means.

EDIT: Couls those who vote please explain their vote, as that would help much more. Thanks.

Eos Aduro December 1st, 2007 9:32 PM

Also, with Psych Up, you dont get yourself PWNED by Jirachi with Fire Punch. I would go Fire Punch

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:37 PM

Regice can't learn fire punch :/ I'm not really inclined to take on Jirachi with this thing though. However, many carry Tbolt which means Regice could in fact do quite a bit to it.

Eos Aduro December 1st, 2007 9:40 PM

Ah, but Jirachi can learn Fire Punch. Which after a Calm Mind, you probably cant take down with T-Bolt or Ice Beam, so it KOs your SUb and has you on the ropes, actually yeah no going against Jirachi overall.

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:57 PM

Unless it doesn't have fire punch, and it often doesn't ;) But yeah, the consensus seems to be psych up it seems...

Eos Aduro December 1st, 2007 9:59 PM

It have some weaks, I know who I would send in to beat it on ym team almost immediately, but it could work.

Anti December 1st, 2007 10:00 PM

So could this actually work? Because that's where I'm getting at...because that's kind of the key to using it ;)

Eos Aduro December 1st, 2007 10:02 PM

Well if ANY fighting type come in, you have to get out ASAP, also speedy fires like Charizard, also Infernape kills you very dead, but if you have other ways to counter then you're good.

Chari can't really hurt Regice and under a sub it won't last. 450 SDef will keep me around to take a few flamethrower attaks ;)

Fighting types kill all Regice sets though, so there's not much I can do about it. Again, all pokemon have counters, fighters kill Regice.

So I'm pretty well-aware it can be countered, but can it work? And how can I improve this one?

On a sidenote, remember this is more for 3rd gen than 4th, so infernape shouldn't be a prolem ;)

Samson December 1st, 2007 10:14 PM

if you want this to work, you really have to give it a +Atk nature and completely ignore giving it DEF evs for that matter. sure, you'll want it to survive physical attacks but your main interest for this thing is giving it enough hp evs, max atk evs, and some sp atk evs.

regardless, its not very reliable for a set against blissey because the best it can do is 2HKO blissey, not having enough HP to make sub take damage for more than one turn. with expert belt, it does a maximum of 72% to blissey with a focus punch and that's before leftovers recovery. if you really want this to work, pair it up with a ghost who can immediately come in and finish blissey off with brick break.

so as you can see, it's really not worth it. you're seriously better off just giving it explosion.

Eos Aduro December 1st, 2007 10:17 PM

Also, something else you taught me, sometimes Blissey has a Counter under its belt, if you dont have a sub up when it uses Counter, you;re gone.

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 10:28 PM

The problem I see with this set is that, even though it can kill SkarmBliss, most teams carry a backup wall to further set back Regice's rampage. i.e. Swampert to stop Electivire or a 224SpAtk Modest Cresselia to stop Infernape. It simply lacks the power to do much outside of SkarmBliss killing, any other decent wall can shake off its hits and it has its walling usage stripped away from the lack of defense. :/

Ehh.....my two cents >_>
