J-Rad December 1st, 2007 7:15 PM

hmmm u seem to have a big vire weakness.... and also toxic spikes=fail because its basicly an invite for hera to come w/ that guts boost and rain on your parade... so i would say replace tentecruel w/ a better spiner..i would go claydol since it can take down vire for u...

Saito December 1st, 2007 7:18 PM

Thx for the comment.....nice....can u give the standard set and ev sprd for claydol?

Run max HP and pretty much even out Defenses, though you can adjust it to your liking, and also how you migth want to counter. but ouch, Vire does ruin your party. You don't really have any reliable walls, I'd throw in donphan rather than claydol, as it too counters Vire and is a great spinner and physical wall.

Saito December 1st, 2007 8:02 PM

Hmm...another nice comment......i think i go with donphan.....

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 8:09 PM

Brick Break is a necessity for Weavile. Aerial Ace is quite useless.

Abomasnow needs more of a mix set, you don't need Protect and Sub. Get rid of one and put in Wood Hammer or Focus Punch.

HP [Electric]>>>Blizzard on Tentacruel to kill Gyarados, who is a HUGE threat to your team.

I love how Taunt Gyarados has a field day with this team.

ultranerd57 December 1st, 2007 8:29 PM

Shadow claw < thunderpunch on infernape for Gyara.

Saito December 1st, 2007 8:31 PM

My abomasnow is for subseeder

HP Electriv is good, but abomasnow blizzard can slowly KO him , or even Grass Knot

Stone Edge for Nape , can?

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 8:34 PM

Infernape can't switch into Gyarados to save his life.

Abomasnow gets outran and Taunted, to be rendered useless, while Gyara DDs up.

Nothing can stand up to Gyara. I suggest getting a counter to it.

Saito December 1st, 2007 8:36 PM

ABOMASNOW still can use BLizzard even after taunt..but your rite, istill need counter Gyara......sigh...

Dude, Gyarados has 100 base SDef and often runs 212 HP EVs. Gyara is going to run over that thing :/

ultranerd57 December 1st, 2007 8:39 PM

HP electric on Abomasnow over protect maybe?

Saito December 1st, 2007 8:42 PM

HMm..another nice comment....great....focus sash is disabled after hail + x4 electric weakness.......

Anti December 1st, 2007 8:46 PM

Um, Gyara can srtill run you over, especially with help from some flinch hax :0 But whatever suits you I suppose...and gyarados never carries sash. Wacan berry a lot, which will also foil your attempts. So no, Abamnasnow can't really counter Gyara :/

Saito December 1st, 2007 8:50 PM

There is Sash Gyara with DD....*sigh*.......how bout jolteon or vire

Anti December 1st, 2007 8:52 PM

I smell earthquake on the switch. NO.

A counter has to be able to switch into any attack the pokemon it's countering has, and then be able to (if both pokemon stayed in) have a very good chance at winning, like gliscor countering heracross.

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 8:59 PM

Cresselia goes in nicely, switching into Gyarados with no problems and hitting back with Charge Beam, it also has the bonus of walling Electivire who is another problem ;)

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:03 PM

Cress.....she just let Gyara Set up

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:05 PM

Notice charge beam will 2HKO Gyara :/

I don't define that as "just letting Gyara set up," I'd defibne that as Gyara switching out after taking a lot of damage.

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:15 PM

Abomasnow HP electric can deal 80% of Max Gyara HP.....Then a Blizzard COuld KO gyara....how this?

It's a shame that Gyara DDs while you switch in, Waterfalls you while taking HP electric, and then finishing you off with waterfall. So no, it DOES NOT counter gyarados :/

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:19 PM

:/ .......Water fall = x0.25 on abomasnow and....it prefer ice fang instead of waterfall.Dun forgot abomasnow is grass/ice type pokemon

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:23 PM

Oh, forgot. but seriously, stone edge :/ And waterfall can provide flinch hax as well. And BTW, it only takes off half the damage, water is normally effective on ice ;/

But again, it CANNOT COUNTER GYARADOS. Too situational :/

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 9:24 PM

Nearly all the Gyarados's I see carry Waterfall / Earthquake and Stone Edge, and Stone Edge 0HKOs it :/, though there maybe one or two who carry Ice Fang

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:25 PM

hmm..just thought about this, How bout Swampert?

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:29 PM

The rock slide variant can usually hurt gyara, but waterfall can cause trouble. But for the most part it can decently do the job.

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 9:31 PM

Only Swamperts that carry HP [Electric] or Stone Edge can do a decent job, though Taunt really hurts Swampert's supportive side and DD'd Waterfalls can be trouble.

But, overall, yes Swampert works

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:32 PM

hmm,i guess swampert replace WEavile will be good....i need it for atker,,

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:35 PM

Then you wouldn't have a physical sweeper. Take out either umbreon, walrein, or tenta for swampert/gyara counter.

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:42 PM

Aerodacty;e replace weavile then...

Jolly Aero can OHKO Gyara with stone edge

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:45 PM

Um, it can't switch into gyarados since waterfall is the baneof its existance :/ Then it would just switch out if you sashed it without you doing any damage...

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:46 PM

Sigh......i just forgot it will be hail....sash is useless <.<

Anti December 1st, 2007 9:48 PM

So maybe getting one of its most solid counters would be of benefit. One that will 100% of the time beat it. Like Cressi.

Saito December 1st, 2007 9:50 PM

The problem is, my sassy cressi has ev'd on sp.def and it has suck sp.atk IV.........-.-

How does using charge beam have to do with prediction? And lol, bronzong are used A LOT :/

Saito December 1st, 2007 10:06 PM

opssi.......lol......................well...i rarely see bronzong anyway...T_T>....<....counter game

Doesn't matter how often you see it, bronzong is VERY OU :/

And counter game? Wha? You have to be able to counter the most prominant threats, if that's what you mean...

flamehaze94 December 1st, 2007 10:09 PM

Talking about Gyara counters and no mention of a little cybernetic ducky is ;___;

Porygon2 is one of the best counters to Gyarados, Tracing back Intimidate and
2HKOing with Thunderbolt / Discharge. It also counters Salamence the same way, and comes to 0HKO with Ice Beam ;)

Most novelty teams don't need rapid spinners, there's really no point.

Not really. Especially on a team with such a spikes and SR weak.

PokeCosmo December 1st, 2007 10:15 PM

There's other more offensive alternatives than rapid spin.

Saito December 1st, 2007 10:18 PM

Skarm 1 time SR, will deal alot dmg to my team, dude

PokeCosmo December 1st, 2007 10:22 PM

Ok, metagross ohkos every pokemon on your team.

Saito December 1st, 2007 10:27 PM

Flamethrower finish him off.or aero earthquake

Archer December 1st, 2007 11:02 PM

Metagross - If its an Agiligross, you can't use infernape and for a counter and a max speed gross would outrun Aero.
Gyarados - Shame there are no electric priority moves... Aero could work if you can bait out an EQ and switch on it.

Saito December 2nd, 2007 3:29 AM

oo......-.-..i cant think of anything at the moment to improve my team

Kuro December 2nd, 2007 3:43 AM

Since Weavile is a beasty physical sweeper, I'd go for both Aerial Ace [i[and[/i] Brick Break over Swords Dance. Trust me - otherwise Yanmega will KILL Weavile.

Saito December 2nd, 2007 6:28 AM

Focus Sash Yanmega can survive AA 1 hit, and then bug buzz 2 time(after Speed Boost ,yanmega outrun weavile
