Cresselia?

If you damage it does it heal if you encounter it again?

PB. December 6th, 2007 8:51 AM

I don't think so the pokemon that travel usually dont.

El Gofre December 6th, 2007 11:04 AM

No otherwise they could be wayyyy too hard to catch. It keeps damage, seeing as its the same poke and doesnt stop to rest

Eruption December 6th, 2007 11:05 AM

YES! Great news.

Well Im off to catch it

PB. December 6th, 2007 11:09 AM

Remember It Flees After the first move so put it too sleep or mean look it

Eruption December 6th, 2007 11:11 AM

I know.

But I'll just keep chasing it instead.

SSJ_Joe December 6th, 2007 2:52 PM

Once you paralyze it, you can't erase that. It's better to put it to sleep. You have better chances.

You want to Mean Look before the Sleeping. The Pokemon that run can still run after any status condition is inflicted on them, even if it is sleeping.

gads3 December 6th, 2007 10:55 PM

What speed stat do you need to use a move b4 cresselia runs because i just caught a level 44 golbat and tried to use mean look on cresselia but it ran b4 i could use my move...

Ayano Katagiri December 6th, 2007 10:58 PM

That'll vary somewhat with the nature of the Cresselia that you've got.
I don't exactly have the game with me right now, so I can't check for you though. D:

I used the unconvential method of using Wobbuffet against it. Shadow Tagging is a useful ability, send Wobbuffet out, switch to something with False Swipe and go to town on poor old Cressy.

My Serious Cresselia(UT) has 105 Speed points, so you should be able to move before her with a pokemon with 120~130 Speed.

There is no definate answer, bacause there is know way off telling its nature or IVs without catching it. Just go with a pokemon with 90+ base spd and a beneficial spd nature, shouldnt be too hard :)

Oh yeah that happened to me while I was trying to catch my cresselia. I just got a golbat with mean look and leveled it up until I felt that its speed was high enough. I'm not sure if anyone would want to, but you could also buy carbos(?) or whatever the ones are that level up speed.

Shiraishi December 7th, 2007 3:45 PM

EV train it. Duh ._.; Crobat's base speed is 130 while Cresselia's is 85..

scorpyo December 7th, 2007 3:50 PM

I guess that would work, but ev training takes a while and I only got my golbat for catching cresselia and mesprit.

BaconFanLOL December 7th, 2007 4:38 PM

some things you could do is follow it at night and use a dark ball or get to a much higher level and use the nest ball. or use a quick ball if it is asleep at the time or something... just ideas.

Any status condition, but sleep. While they're sleeping, they can't run or it wouldn't make sense.

Well in my experience it has run before. Mesprit in particular, after I used a Haunter with Hypnosis. It went to sleep and then ran and with that following, the next time I encountered it in the wild after hunting it down it was still asleep.

Which doesn't make sense when you think about it, but that's what happened.

kakarot December 7th, 2007 11:43 PM

Make it come to you...

Use the marking map app and walk to the cusp of two areas.

(Where the location, eg: Route 202, appears on the screen)

Every time you walk into a different area, Cresselia moves to a new location a few steps later.

Just move back and forth until Cresselia comes to you!

Enjoy!
