Not really... IMO. And besides, it would help if people could understand what you're trying to say, scorpyo. So, therefore, I was only trying to help. AGAIN. XD.

I don't know... it would help more if the first few posts I get from my first team were not "this team sucks or "it's terrible."

Of all the stupid, immature things to do, this tops it, for today at least.

Yes, he is right to point out that minor spelling error. There is a big difference in movepool & moveset. Movepool is every move that the poke can learn, be it breed or otherwise.

Move SETS are the four chosen moves.

He only meant to help, as there is a big difference, on just those words alone. If you don't wan't your errors called out, don't post a RMT thread.

Also, they gave you advice as well. You didn't read it thoroughly enough, just skimmed the post.

Arcknight316 December 13th, 2007 1:52 PM

Sorry Itachi, it was only a joke.

scorpyo December 13th, 2007 1:59 PM

Anyways, I'll try and get a better move set for my pokemon. Thanks for suggesting moves for me, sims. I was really clueless and what to do with my pokemon. Maybe I'll stand some sort of a chance in battling.

sims796 December 13th, 2007 2:01 PM

While your at it, thank Iceman & Itachi. They gave useful advice as well. Hell, Itachi even gave you a great Umbreon set that wen't ignored.

No, I took it. I'm planning on using it once I re breed everything >_>

Do you really want my feedback on this team? Because even for a first team, I think it's just simply sorry. Very well then. I will show you just how much work you have to do to make this into a serious team.

I'm really new at battling, so this is pretty much my firs team. Tell me what you think about it.

Lvl 71 Dragonite
Lonely / Adamant Nature
EVs: 120 HP / 148 Atk / 240 Spd
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Dragon claw
Thunder / Stone Edge
First, do NOT use HM Attacks, unless it's the right pokemon getting a STAB off of Surf or Waterfall. Next, using 2 of the same type STAB Attacks on one Pokemon is a waste of space.

LvL 50 Umbreon
Impish nature
EVs: 212 HP / 216 Def / 80 SDef
Wish
Mean Look
Baton Pass
Protect / Payback

Confuse Ray sucks. Sand Attack is useless. Growl is pointless. Let's get serious here.

LvL 58 Tyranitar
Jolly Nature
EVs: 172 HP / 156 Atk / 180 Spd
Stone edge
Earthquake
Crunch
Dragon Dance
Tyranitar and Dragonite are NEVER to be on the same team.

LvL 50 Electrivire
Lonely
232 Atk / 176 Spd / 100 SAtk
Thunderbolt
Fire Punch / Earthquake
Ice punch
Low Kick / Cross Chop

LvL 50 Infernape
Hasty Nature
100 Atk / 232 Spd / 176 SAtk
Close Combat
Grass Knot
Fire Blast
Nasty Plot
Better moves? There you go.

LvL 60 GENGAR
Timid Nature
4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Hypnosis / Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Dream Eater combos are the total suck. All Sleep does is force a switch.

Yeah it definetly needs some more work, but I don't know where to go. Some of the natures are messed up I bet, but I only have one of each pokemon.
One of each Pokemon? Here's a solution. Get a Ditto and start breeding. It's not hard, at all.

Thanks for giving another list for me to look at. I know that my dragonite has some problems, and my other friend suggested switching it out for a milotic. So there. One problem solved. I know it's a sorry team. I do have a ditto, but it's only good for attack sweapers. I'm going to rebreed my electrivire with it.

luke December 13th, 2007 3:16 PM

Honestly guys, half this thread was filled with useless posts. >.>;;; If you don't have anything to post relating to the team, take it to PM.

Let a moderator come in and take care of whatever is wrong...

sims796 December 13th, 2007 3:21 PM

?

We've done nothing but comment on her team. Or at the very least, gave her some sort of helpful advice In fact, that was the last post. Just cause we don't give her an exact comment on her team, doesn't mean we're not helping. Not all helpful advice is just on paper.

On topic, Dragonite is fine, you were using it wrong.

However, I see Milotic helping this team alot. You lack a special wall. (Ironic, ain't it? That was your first thread!)

Now you see why this place is called "Flameland". http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v634/Gamerman/Image%20Macros/yelwacko.gif The people here can sound like jerks some/ all of the time, but they're good guys deep down.

Really deep down, though.

And yes, Milotic would help a great deal. I'd recommend replacing Electivire or Infernape (preferably Vire, IMO) with her.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Bold
148 HP/ 240 Def/ 120 SAtk
-Surf
-Hidden Power [Electric]
-Hypnosis
-Recover

If you don't want to breed for Hidden Power, I understand. You can replace it with Ice Beam. Just keep in mind that it's more likely that you'll be walled by bulky waters with that set.

I disagree with that Flameland comment. We don't sound like jerks, you included, but they expect us to spoon-feed them the answers,or tell them that their pitiful team is perfect. Not happening. & In the first few post, we, or they, did help.

You are replacing Dragonite, eh? I say replace Tyranitar, as being Sandbagged it the face by his ability does you no good.

airconditioning December 13th, 2007 3:33 PM

What's wrong with spoon-feeding someone answers? When I was new, I wish someone spoon fed me answers.

sims796 December 13th, 2007 3:39 PM

Maybe you should update your first post with all the changes you made.

@airconditioning: They aren't babies. They expect us to do all the work for them. We give 'em a rate. We won't make you the team. We give suggestions, yet they think they know more.

luke December 13th, 2007 3:42 PM

Please, before this develops into an argument, take it to a PM or drop it. Scorpyo, it would be wise to update your first post like sims said. Some people just look at that one and rate from there without seeing the changes you made.

sims796 December 13th, 2007 3:44 PM

That, you don't need to worry about. Were friends, we won't argue or flame over something so small.

Morkula December 13th, 2007 3:50 PM

Sims, in case your brain hasn't processed it yet, since it's only been about a month and I'm not sure your brain works that fast, Loquacity has a bold/steel blue name. Which means he's a moderator. Which means you need to pay attention to him and not argue with him.

Faceless* December 13th, 2007 4:13 PM

Haha... yeah very funny

Anyways, I always liked Thunderpunch/Stone Edge/HP Ice on Infernape

luke December 13th, 2007 4:18 PM

I think you meant to include Flamethrower / Fire Blast in that move set Name. Here's the full set:

Infernape @ Expert Belt / Life Orb / Focus Sash
Trait: Blaze
Nature: Naive
EV Spread: 26 ATK / 252 SPD / 232 SPATK

Flamethrower / Fire Blast
Close Combat
Stone Edge / Grass Knot / Hidden Power [Ice]
Thunder Punch / Hidden Power [Ice]

scorpyo December 13th, 2007 4:30 PM

Just so everyone knows this, I'm taking everyone's ideas on my team. But:

Since it's obvious nobody like this team, I'm going to re level up a new team. If you're curious to see it, I'll edit the topic starter so it shows my new team.

J-Rad December 13th, 2007 4:59 PM

well you honestly should care more about evs and not actual levels, since levels don't mean a thing anymore, just keep that in mind

That's the mock BoltBeam set, but Grass Knot always worked really well with Flamethrower

I would call it a novelty, but Swampert would give you troubles without Grass Knot, but since Grass Knot is so predicted on Infernape, it might not matter

Good Set
