I vote no, even though it's a shiny it doesn't mean it should be stronger, shiny is only another colour appearance to it's normal one, to me I just think shinies are just there to show off to other people.
|
Never. It'd ruin competitive battling, it'd ruin the fun of having them (because everyone else would go through the pain of catching whole shiny teams), and it would ruin non-shiny Pokemon. Everyone would go crazy trying to catch them, so in the end, shiny Pokemon would be too common, and people'd be trading them around to add to that. Even like 10% of a stat boost would cause all that, and anything less than that defeats the purpose (who'd care about a 2% boost?). -And, I want to still feel like my shiny Swellow is special...
|
I don't think they should be stronger. That'd almost just entice more people into hacking for shinies just for the extra stat bonus that the Pokemon would have and we'd probably see people with more and more shiny Pokemon.
|
I think they should as the rarity of them but as said before people would hack even more so it's a double edged sword
|
no, what makes them so special besides that they are a different color. Let them feel special that they are already a different color from the rest of there species
:t354:TG |
No, it's already quite significant because of it's different color. And it would cause many issues with Wi-Fi battles, because there would be a higher chance that one would be hacked.
@TwilightBlade/SU: Shouldn't this belong in Pokemon General? |
I keep bringing this up to my friend, but they should get a move that is exclusive to all shinies that you have to tutor with that dude for heartscales. make it called like "sparkle sparkle" and either do a little damage while lowering accuracy or high famdage
|
I don't think shinies should get a stat boost, it would ruin the meta game. People who are lucky enough to have a team full of shinies would have an unfair advantage because they would win battles without having put any time or effort in to raising their pokemon.
I know it is still *relatively* easy to get shinies with the pokeradar, but then you wouldn't be able to breed in necessary moves, IVs, etc. |

They shoudn't because Shiny pokemon are considered the same as regular except they have a different colour and are just a bit boosted in stats..
But they are BANNED from wifi battles.. So no, they shoudn't be stronger they should make them so they have even stats as there regular forms, so they woudn't get banned from wifi. |
I decided to say yes due to their rarity, but stronger as in a little more IVs, not actual base stats (Also not 31/31/31/etc..., but more like 20+/20+/20+/20+...) This way, a shiny pokemon wouldn't always be stronger than a regular, highly-bred one.
This way, it would put to the test to see if you have a life or not. |

Before they give any buffs to shiny Pokemon though, they really need to make other novelty Pokemon at least usable in widespread battle. Shiny Pokemon are as good as the rest of them. Unique Pokemon such as Castform, Kecleon, and Ditto to just name a few are really cool concepts, but just really don't cut it in battle. They need to be at least usable in competitive play before other novelty Pokemon (shinies) get a buff. |
