That should help you find the IVs within seconds, hopefully this answered your question. ^_^

The "like bitter food" thing if I remember correctly shows which stat has the highest IV.

If your trying to calculate IVs use that link above and make sure the pokemon is around level 15 or above, or it won't be correct. You also need to know what EVs it has, or remove them before you get the correct calculation. If you don't want to level a lvl 1 but figure out the IVs you can get it in a battle that will make it level 50 or 100 like that and get the status from there.

I hope that helped.

Actually, the bit above that (capable of taking hits, highly curious etc) can indicate which is the highest IV. The type of food it likes depends on it's nature:

Spicy = +Atk natures
Sour = +Def natures
Dry = +Sp. Atk natures
Bitter = +Sp. Def natures
Sweet = +Speed natures.

Hope I helped.

THIS BELONGS IN SIMPLE Q&A THREAD! IF I CONTINUE TO SEE THREADS LIKE THIS MADE, I'M GOING TO START HANDING OUT WARNINGS!!!

The type of PokeBlock the Pokemon likes indicates as DeanoDance said what nature they have. It also tells the trainer what Contest the Pokemon would be most adept at:

Spicy - Cool
Sour - Smart
Dry - Beauty
Sweet - Cute
Bitter - Tough
