Pkrs?

What is this? My whole team has it. I think I've heard about it before...but I can't remember. XD

PKRS or Pokerus is a "Pokemon Virus" That makes your pokemon grow better and work better

Souless December 26th, 2007 8:40 PM

PKRS is a pokemon virus that has a particular effect.

When your party gets it (either from battling a wild pokemon who has it or taken from another of your pokemon) you can consider yourself very lucky, since this virus is as hard to get like shinies, or harder maybe.

The virus works this way: All pokemon with PKRS will get double EV when fighting, just like if you were holding the Macho Brace.

Try to spread the virus to some other pokemon, this can be done by battling a wild pokemon with a PKRS infected pokemon.

The PKRS will dissapear after a few days of gameplay (real days) or by going several times to a Pokemon Center. To prevent this you should keep an infected pokemon in Bill's or Lannete's PC.

I have the PKRS myself, and to prevent it from dissapear I have three pokemon stored with the virus, reserved, just in case.

I hope that answers your question~

Yes, but it's more rare than finding a wild shiny Pokémon.

Wow, your whole team has pkrs?
Well, nice, they will be developing more quickly if they have that, but it will soon wear away.

Ahh, cool! lol. I'll be sure to infect some and put them in my PC!!! :)

That would of been nice to know a few weeks ago because my Pokémon had it now they don't any more.

You only need to keep on infecting if you're planning to spread it to another Pokemon but if you just keep on infecting the same Pokemon again and again, nothing happens. When the Pokerus goes away, it keeps on having the Pokerus symptons but it loses the ability to pass it on to another Pokemon.

My friend also had a team full of pokemon with pokerus. None of us knew what was it and he restarted his entire game. Sad...

i think i had it on ruby once so i just kept playing since i thought it was my game mem. or something

You can check if your Pokemon have it by looking at their summary.
Where it should display the status condition, it'll instead display PKRS if it has it in a small purple/white box.
