It's your average physical sweeper, it can cope. I myself prefer ones not reliant on stat-ups but yeah, he's fine for it.

FinalPaladin September 5th, 2008 10:49 AM

good.whats a good nature for him

As I said, he should be using jolly.

Walrein September 5th, 2008 11:13 AM

Why does Dragonite have to be Jolly and not Adamant?

So that he can outspeed the base 85s/90s that run nuetral natures prior to a DD. The fat dragon is slowwww. Plus without jolly there's a lot of stuff that still outruns him after a DD, notably CS Hera which likes to pack stone edge and Jolteon with HP ice. Jolly is just more beneficial.

ShadowWind September 5th, 2008 11:21 AM

btw energy ball is best on ninetails because it covers his water weakness

It has the same speed as Medicham...even thought I use a Jolly Medicham as well...

Ohhh yeah. If only people would bother reading just a single page, then they could see that its not a current topic :|
Can mods not remove polls?

Then it's got a 50/50 chance. Jolly is always more beneficial- It's attack is great but it's speed is just moot for a sweeper.

So no one has any suggestions?

I need a 6th poke to balance out my team of Tyranitar, Dragonite, Scizor, Gengar and Milotic.

Btw, would Salamence be a better choice than Dragonite?

FinalPaladin September 6th, 2008 1:47 AM

salamence is stronger than dragonite and he can double edge and crunch and zenheadbut

Angelic Diablo September 6th, 2008 2:03 AM

[email protected]/Life Orb
Jolly Nature
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch/Fire Blast

Dragon Dance + Outrage is the only reason to use Dragonite over Salamence. If your aren't gonna use this set then Salamence would be a better choice.

However, don't use Zen Headbutt, Crunch or Double Edge. They are stupid moves on Salamence.

FinalPaladin September 6th, 2008 2:05 AM

is salamences attack more than his specialattack
whats a good moveset for kingdra

Is the "I dont care" in reference to me calling moves crap or about the rain dance team?
Since you dont mind Rain dance, standard RD Kingdra:

[email protected] Orb/Damp Rock
Modest
252SpAtt/136Spd/120HP
Rain Dance
Surf/Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
HP Electric

There is no need for dragon pulse, the other 3 attacks cover everything. Kingdra cannot learn thunderbolt either.

Angelic Diablo September 6th, 2008 2:37 AM

[email protected] Orb/Mystic Water
Naughty Nature
EVs: 168 Atk, 252 Sp Atk, 88 Spd
-Rain Dance
-Waterfall
-Surf/Hydro Pump
-Draco Meteor/Ice Beam

Mystic Water + Double STABed Waterfall = 2HKO on Calm Blissey. Life Orb allows you to forgoe the Naughty Nature in favor of a +Sp Atk Nature instead, while still allowing the 2HKO on Blissey.

Speed allows you to outspeed Scarfchomp during the rain and OHKO with Ice Beam or Draco Meteor.

Angelic Diablo September 6th, 2008 3:23 AM

Then you can hit it for nuetral. A pokemon's moveset should aim to cover either it's weaknesses or a large portion of the metagame- Not a single poke it isnt even that worried about (Aka other kingdra). You have ice beam to deal neutral damage, thats enough. Having DP just for kindgra is stupid.

I still swear by agiligros, but CBGros is rising in popularity:

[email protected]
Adamant
252Att/152HP/104Spd
Agility
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Thunderpunch/Explosion

I prefer explosion so floaty steels dont Lol.

[email protected] Band
Adamant
252HP/244Att/12Def
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Explosion
Thunderpunch/Pursuit/Bullet Punch

FinalPaladin September 6th, 2008 3:42 AM

are these good kanto sets
Blastoise.........................charizard..............venusaur..................venusaur2
sub.............................air slash.................sleep powder...............leechseed
skullbash....................flamethrower...........leech seed...................sludgebomb
hydrocannon..............sunny day.................gigadrain.....................energy ball
earthquake/icebeam..solar beam..............ingrain..........................rock slide

if you need a stratergy for any of these sets just ask

The moves in bold should never be used in competetive play (Solarbeam is debatable), and all the sets need changing:

[email protected]
Bold
252HP/252Def/6SpAtt
Rapid Spin
Surf
Toxic/Yawn
Ice Beam/Rest

Utility Blastoise, it's what it does best and isnt even really good at it.

Charizard has several sets, but you seem to want a special sweeper so...
[email protected] Specs
Timid
252SpAtt/252Spd/6HP
Overheat/Flamethrower
Air Slash
Dragon Pulse
Focus Blast/Focus Punch

Sunny day shuld benefit a whole team, not just a single poke or you're likely to screw your other pokes over if they have water moves or are grass/steel types.

[email protected]
Calm
252HP/252SpDef/6SpAtt
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Sludge Bomb
Energy Ball/Grass knot

Giga drain offers moot damage and therefore moot recovery.
