In that case its down to preference really, you've got all the best options laid out there. Thunder would be funny, 100% paralysis rate might be abuseable

So which of these is best?

Ancientpower
Rock Smash
Poison Jab
Water Pulse
Thunder

Non SG Using Moves:
Screech
Yawn
Stealth Rock
Pursuit

Can't really think of much else XD

Tensa Zangetsu March 21st, 2008 11:43 PM

Has anyone got a moveset for a 'more attacking' Torterra moveset.

El Gofre March 22nd, 2008 7:24 AM

Hi all, i need a bulky groudon set for a lead on an uber team. It needs to be able to set up SR and underspeed other weather users.

Dunsparce March 22nd, 2008 8:54 AM

I read about this on Smogon Forums, and sounds quite Interesting:

[email protected] SCARF
Adamant
6 HP, 252 ATT, 252 SPD
Night Slash
Ice Punch
Pursuit
Brick Break

Outruns Scarfchomp and still 1HKOs it. Basically, you're sacrificing the Choice Band boost for the ability to outrun common Scarf Users without the use of a Priority Move.

Anti March 22nd, 2008 9:11 AM

Scarf Weavile is one of those Scarfers I really like, probably because it outruns everything. Still, CB is its best set IMO.

As for a "more attacking" moveset for Torterra, I'm no Torterra expert but Wood Hammer/Earthquake/Stone Edge/filler should should suffice, with a CB most likely.

You might want to take some from speed and put in hp, 252 i think is overkill, run some speed numbers and see what it needs to outspeed, such as Scarf Azelf etc.

Mr.Roserade March 22nd, 2008 11:54 PM

I got an alakazam with max sp atk and 330 speed, does anyone have a good moveset and item tips?

Cloud_85 March 23rd, 2008 12:57 PM

I need a good set for cresselia, I was thinking on the Status absorve:RestTalk, but I already have one in starmie, also my other option was CM cress, but I'm not too sure if this works well...

[email protected]
252 HP / 108 DEF / 148 SP.DEF
Bold Nature
~ Reflect
~ Moonlight / Rest
~ Ice Beam
~ Thunder Wave / Charge Beam / Psychic

Pretty much, id advise Rest be used with a Cleric or it becomes dead weight. Otherwise use Moonlight.

Charge Beam helps you at least do something to bulky waters, namely Gyarados. ice Beam takes out dragons, whilst Thundewave cripples sweepers and Psychic gets STAB and it good for Heracross, gengar and Mixape. Reflect weakens pursuit and other hard physical assults.

Hidden power Ground can be used in that last slot if you want a better way of dealing with heatran..

El Gofre March 23rd, 2008 3:28 PM

Hi all, i was wondering if beedril was UU or NU? because i recently got a shiny quirky weedle with perfect attack IVs that I'm keen to try out.

If its UU, could someone suggest a set please?

Cloud_85 March 23rd, 2008 3:29 PM

That set sounds preety good, I'm basing my team with the Registeel-Cresselia combination so Reflect+Psychic will be good thanks...

EDIT- Also looking for a Registeel moveset with SR and Toxic... I was expecting: SR,toxic,Hammer Arm and Thunder.

It's NU.

I like this set:

CBeedrill

[email protected] Band
6 HP 252 ATT, 252 SPD
X-Scissor
Poison Jab
Brick Break/U-Turn
Pursuit/Aerial Ace/U-Turn

Can "work" with Choice Scarf, too.

[email protected]/Leichi
same EV spread as before
Sub
Swords Dance/Agility
X-Scissor
Poison Jab/Pursuit/Aerial Ace/Brick Break

Sub down until Swarm Activates, and "Sweep"

Notable moves that don't work EVER on Beedrill:
Toxic Spikes, Endeavor, Roost... not much.

I don't know/care it's standard sets, This is how I use Mine

Unless it's a Beedrill from XD, which means it has Baton Pass. Alas, your Quirky Shiny Weedle cannot get that.

Well... At least 'Drill's stronger than Korotokku(Kricketune)

I run Ice Punch/Thunder/Toxic/Hammer Arm, i suppose Toxic or Hammer Arm could be replaced.

Cloud_85 March 23rd, 2008 3:56 PM

I really don't need too much Ice punch, I really need more that hammer arm and the toxic(for stall) It could work

Dark Azelf March 23rd, 2008 4:44 PM

[email protected]Choice Band / Shed Shell
Adamant Nature
6 HP / 252 ATT / 252 SPEED
Trait : Technician
- Pursuit
- X-Scissor
- Iron Head
- Double hit

Im planning on using this dude, never have before, so i thought it'll be fun =p

The EVs generate 229 Speed to outrun nearly all bulky Gyarados, Gliscor and of course, neutral Tyranitar.

Pursuit on this set is almost as powerful as Tyranitars, thanks to Technician and inflicts major pain on fleeing targets.

X-Scissor gets STAB and deals with Cress and other psychics.

Iron head gets STAB and hits weezing, heracross Gliscor HARD.

Double hit screws that ass breloom and other sub users, due to it hitting round subs. Technician makes double hit beastly and is capable or OHKOing Jolteon and Ninjask with a Sub up =o

My main problem here is that this set is kinda lol'd at by Magnezone, hence the Shed Shell, now i would remove that and use a Choice Band if i had Brick Break, so my question is which move do you reckon could be kicked away for it ?

All the moves are too good to pass up =[

Cloud_85 March 23rd, 2008 4:55 PM

If I were you I'll Iron Head, maybe it could have stab, but Steel is really poor when you attack... Also you may try putting out Double Hit I know is amazing for Sub things but I guess Brick Breack will be better on CB...

Anyways is just my opinion XD.

Dark Azelf March 23rd, 2008 5:31 PM

I guess its between Double Hit and Iron head, ill have to try them out and see which one fails more..... iron Head takes out weezing, Glisor etc whilst Double hit kills sub users....

Man, this is going to be harder than i thought to decide

Anti March 23rd, 2008 5:40 PM

I would go Iron Head, People don't seem to shy away from our friend Meteor Mash, do they? lol

Actually I would use that for a general STAB move that hits what doesn't resist it hard. Double Hit...meh, doesn't seem like much use to me, but I hardly even know the move's typing so I would really get more opinions!

Angelic Diablo March 24th, 2008 12:26 AM

I think double hit suits Ambipom more, STAB as well as Tech makes it really annoying to those sub users.

So yeah Brick Break > Double Hit

Ársa March 24th, 2008 12:40 AM

Brick Break > Double Hit.

Being able to hit Magnezone outweighs Breloom and the like, especially considering Breloom cannot really do much to you anyway, apart from Spore/Leech Seed.

Hi, I'm a bit outdated (too cheap for a DS so I'm still playing Emerald on my GBA SP) but I was wondering what I could do with my really crappy (please excuse the language) Metagross. I'm trying to go with the Mashgross and well I have Meteor Mash and Psychic but I still don't know what could fit into the other slots. I'm thinking maybe Crunch and Calm Mind but I don't know where to get a 2nd Calm Mind TM because I can't trade and used the 1st one on my Gardevoir. I have really poor access to TM's so I need help. Anyone got ideas. I'm sticking with the Sp. Attack EV's and the Def Ev's along with some speed. Not sure what to do so if anyone could help with the remaining two slots I'd appreciate it. I'm having my 13th n Wednesday so I might be able to get a DS and Diamond but yeah, that isn't too likely.

So this is what it looks like ATM:
Mashgross-Meteor Mash, Psychich, -, -.
Might add in and buy a few X Accuracies for those really long battles.

It gets base 130 attack and STAB on Focus Punch XD

Yeah, i think double hit will have to go even though i hate HATE breloom with a passion, love using it, but hate going against it.
