Alright, Pokemon Blue classic player here....!

Im looking for all of your favorite/best teams and movesets on pokemon blue....

My idea is simple...something like

Venesaur, Blastoise, Charizard, Mew, Mewtwo...and a Pokemon with the capaibilty of fly, whicher the best one you think that is...maybe like Articuno or something

But yea if you got any experience with Blue, or any advice that would be helpful...thanx!

(Keep in mind I got two gameboys and pokemon yellow so I can get all the beginning pokemon etc)

masterpakku12 March 24th, 2008 3:16 PM

I really need a good moveset and ev spread for a solock meant for standard environment.
Needs to have explosion
Needs to be able to withstand more than one hit
Otherwise feel free to be creative.

Hadim Sinan Pasha March 24th, 2008 3:26 PM

ThatCrazyAlexGuy, Pokemon Blue and Yellow are easy enough as they are. You don't all the starters and the Uber (Ultimate and Powerful) pokemon unless you're going to battle different people. In your case, that doesn't sound like it will happen, you having Blue and Yellow and all so here goes a list which I'm not sure about. I haven't played Red since like, 2002 so I'm not sure about movesets. Someone else might be able to help out there but back when I played most of my friends ran these pokemon in a team.

Scyther:Not powerful and not an OU or an NU but fast. I'd choose it as my team leader.
Chancey:Good against Special Attackers.
Venusaur:Strong Pokemon, OU these days in LG and FR.
Flareon:Strong Special Attack, fast and can be more versatile than Vaporeon. Not sure about Jolteon.
Rhydon:Good at DEf against Physical Attackers.
Gyarados:Could just about own anything with good Attack and an EQ(Earthquake).

I'm sure that some guys on this forum could make much better pokemon parties but those are the pokemon that come to mind.

Dark Azelf March 24th, 2008 3:26 PM

[email protected]
252 HP / 48 Atk / 208 Def
Impish nature
- Light Screen / Reflect / Will-o-wisp
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Rock Slide
- Explosion

Blegh, good luck with this anywhere except in UU....

masterpakku12 March 24th, 2008 3:33 PM

i enjoy the challenge of using UU pokemon in OU and often succeed in doing so.
Thanks a bunch for the moveset!

Cloud_85 March 24th, 2008 5:11 PM

Ok, I was wondering if Donphan with RS,EQ,SR and Roar is good... I also could use rock on other pokemon so maybe it's a good idea use Ice Shard or something here ...

Yea dude! About 9 of my friends on track are all starting to battle and stuff. With Red, Yellow, and Blue, too!Lmao its so gay. Classic owsssss

But yea enough of my gibberish.

Ok. I'm going to keep this more simple....I'll just list potential Pokemon...pick the best out of the group....

Arcanine vs Charizard vs Flareon

Venesaur vs Vileplume vs Victreebell

Blastoise vs Lapras vs Starmie

Zapados vs Articuno vs Aerodactyl vs Pidgeot

Alakazm vs Golem

Gyardos vs Dragonite

Hadim Sinan Pasha March 24th, 2008 7:14 PM

Gyarados can just about destroy anything and everything with it's Eartquake. Ok, of those pokemon, can't really make a list but I'd say make two teams. 1 could be a bit like this.

Flareon-Venusaur-Lapras-Aerodactyl-Alakazam-Dragonite

then

Arcanine-Victreebell-Blastoise-Pigeot(Zapdos if you want an Uber)-Golem-Dragonite

That's how I would make 2 teams. You can mix and match the two teams together but I'd suggets only one starter in a team. Also tell your friends to not be cheapos and play the game properly. Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos are all Half Ubers but if they start using Mewtwo or Mew don't battle them.

LOL!

Moltres and Articuno both take 50% from Stealth Rock... UBERS FTW!

Ok I need the standard movesets for Sandslash and Hypno for a UU team

Blargtastic808 March 25th, 2008 2:08 AM

Well he's talking about Blue version so SR doesn't really apply : \

Hypno @ Leftovers
Calm
252 HP 56 Def 200 SpDef
Seismic Toss/Psychic
T-Wave/Hypnosis
Wish (only from NYPC) /Hypnosis
Reflect/Lightscreen

[email protected]
Impish
252 HP 252 Atk 4 Def
Swords Dance
EQ
Rapid Spin
Nightslash

Rapid Spinnner set. SD sweeper: replace RS with stone edge or x-scissor. Adamant nature with 80 HP 252 Atk 176 Spd. Can replace Leftovers with Life Orb for additional damage.

Pretty much straight from Smogon. That's where I get a lot of my spreads and movesets nowadays...

Angelic Diablo March 25th, 2008 4:03 AM

Well even in RBYG, There is no way in hell those birds are ubers... Mind you it would be all lonely in the ubers with Mewtwo running the show unopposed

Ugh Smogon, do they have to always combine sets like that, it's either a spinner/wall or a sweeper not both...

Enigma March 25th, 2008 7:14 AM

can somebody please give me a team that includes:
Infernape
Weavile
Suicune

and three other pokemon?

If anyone can do this,i deeply appricate it and im pretty new wi-fi battling and competitive battling and that stuff,so sorry if this post sounded newbish.

Thanks.

Cloud_85 March 25th, 2008 9:22 PM

I need T-bolt/Icebeam(Maybe only one of those),Surf,Grass Knot and RS. I'm really don't sure, but mine will be a stall team so I guess I need it. (My only pokemon weak to Rocks actually it's Weavile...)

Why Body Slam? For the Paralisis Chance.

El Gofre March 26th, 2008 2:29 PM

Hi all, i need some advice. I need psychic type physical and special walls, i was wondering who fits best into which category. The obvious thoughts are cressy, bronzong and claydol, i was just wondering who would be my best choices :)

Is there any reason why they have to be Psychic?

Dootakun/Bronzong is great. With Levitate, it only has a Single weakness, and a x2 One at that, Something Steels like Forry would want.

What I've been wondering for a while is why Dootakun/Bronzong doesn't get Heal Bell >.>;

El Gofre March 26th, 2008 2:42 PM

Yeah im gonna be a gym leader on another site, thought this might be fun :)

Thanx anyway, and yeah I always wondered the same thing. Is restTalk a viable strategy for it?

Anti March 26th, 2008 5:04 PM

For Bronzong, Resttalk is pretty good on it, I run that set myself. I wouldn't call it amazing, but it does its job well.

ThatCrazyAlexGuy March 26th, 2008 5:57 PM
