ok i have never ever done competive battling so i dont know crap i dont want movesets or anything ... i want to know if this was a okay team or if it would get pawned .... im thinking of using jolteon crobat gengar gardevoir arcanine and gorebyss or something like that

BobberyJo March 26th, 2008 10:16 PM

In-Game, anything rocks.

Competitve battling wise, if you don't have any knowledge about natures,ev's, iv's etc,
Your team is going to fail horribly.

♥vampy©valentine♥ March 26th, 2008 10:27 PM

i do know about ivs evs etc i just thought it be alot easier to know what pokemon i was using and i should of worded it differently... are those pokemon used in comptive battling? and are they okay together?

luke March 27th, 2008 6:05 AM

Please watch the censor bypassing vampy.

FinalPaladin March 27th, 2008 6:11 AM

hey vampy ya pokemon are fine dont worry[wat levels are they]

And wat are evs and ivs??????????????????????????????????????????

sims796 March 27th, 2008 6:29 AM

Which is the better snake, Arbok or Seviper? Seviper seems like the superior choice.

geomon, that's a dang lie. Those are decent pokes, but not together like that. They make an awful team. And levels don't matter.

El Gofre March 27th, 2008 6:33 AM

Hi all, i need the standard spinener starmie set and need to know who would be better at special walling in an all-psychic team: Claydol or Bronzong. A set would also be nice :)

Both serve their own purposes. Arbok is actually a decent Heracross counter if you switch it in with Intimidate and give it a bulky EV spread. I forgot about the move set though. Seviper might be a good candidate for Choice Scarf sweeping.

sims796 March 27th, 2008 8:05 AM

Really? I figured Seviper would make a decent Scarf, but I didn't realize how good Arbok really is. Thanks.

yomomma123123 March 27th, 2008 8:05 AM

Hadim Sinan Pasha March 27th, 2008 6:03 PM

yomamma:Well, Salamence is good, Heracross is good, Manectric would be owned by Earthquake, Sableye I find to be very weak. Ubers are useless and in competitive battling they are a big no no. people will down on you as a noob. if you find yourself using a level 100 rayquaza to defeat the Pokemon League, that's bad.
Disregarding Ev's, Nature's and all that. I'd say run a team that uses these pokemon:
Skarmory- bring this out early to lay spikes and might annoy your opponent a little.
Swampert
Salamence
Metagross
Heracross
Blissey

If you want it to not be able to OHKO the many walls it's meant for killing then yeah you can....but it's not worth it imo.

here let me fix this ANNOYING COLOR FOR YOU.

Now then....

All I have to say is good luck passing anything with absol. It's gonna be really hard considering how frail he is. 65 base hp and 60 base in both his defenses = he's not a baton passer don't even try it. ;p

Anti March 27th, 2008 9:42 PM

Is that color...never mind. I wouldn't use white though.

Absol...you might as well put some kind of choice item on it (preferably an CB or scarf) and try to attack. Absol is strong, it just can't take a hit and is slow (like a weaker Rampardos).

Why would you give a pokemon with no Physical moves, attack ev's?

opps lol i made those evs up when i had a differnet move set
158HP/111Def/111SpDef/130 Spd is that better?

Hadim Sinan Pasha March 28th, 2008 2:03 AM

btw guys, don't post to my Pearl team. I just want some help with a few movesets. i don't really mind natures as I can't breed anything with a ditto yet and I just want to finish off the Pkmn league. I need some help on a moveset for the following [I'd also appreciate it if you could recommend some items]:

Lucario - It's hard because it's more of a Physical Sweeper being a Fighting/steel type.
Steelix - This I'm planning on using in the Pkmn league as more of a wall so it needs something good.
Weavile - This one is important. I've already taught it Ice Beam. Need 3 more moves.
Palkia - I know, Uber but my strongest Pkmn and I need him. He is holding Lustrous Orb. This is what I was thinking for my Palkia;
Palkia @ Lustrous Orb
Thunder
Rain Dance
Surf
Dragon Pulse/Dragon Claw/Spacial Rend(has 95 Acc. so not my ideal move. Dragon Pulse is in between.

Oh and BTW, I know what EV's are but how do i know how many EV's my Pokemon has recieved. if you give 10 Iron, it's 100 Def EV's but after that, I lose count. Could someone tell me how you keep count, or link me to a thread or site.

Not really, he can function just as well as a special sweeper, if not better. I personally prefer specsluke
Steelix - This I'm planning on using in the Pkmn league as more of a wall so it needs something good.
You dont need walls to beat the retarded 4, sweep their asses
Weavile - This one is important. I've already taught it Ice Beam. Need 3 more moves.
Erm ice beam? Nononono. As easy as the E4 is you need to get into good habits. Weavile sucks at special attacks, its not debatable. Ice shard or ice punch is what you wanna go for.
Palkia - I know, Uber but my strongest Pkmn and I need him. He is holding Lustrous Orb. Its an uber, it will win

I'd rate fully but its in-game so its not needed. Movesets for your pokes would be:
PhysLuke: Crunch/CloseCombat/ExtremeSpeed/StoneEdge
Weavile: NightSlash/BrickBreak/IcePunch/>InsertFiller<
Palkia: SpacialRend/Surf/AuraSphere/ThunderBolt
Steelix:EQ/GyroBall/StoneEdge/StealthRock

Interesting. Actually, about a month ago on Shoddy, soembody had a Water Spout wailord on a trick Room team that 6-0ed me. lol, Wailord can actually be a decent attacker. I'd say a CB set with Trick Room would be very pwnsome indeed.
