Bold/Impish
252HP/96Def/160SpDef
Will-O-Wisp
Taunt
Dark Pulse/Sucker Punch
Pain Split
That's the set i use. Used in a similar manner to dusknoir. Move and nature choice depend on whether you want it to hit physically or special.

Pinocchio May 19th, 2008 3:49 AM

Would it be wise to run Pursuit somewhere here to deal some additional damage to Pokemon trying to flee? That would also help cover my newb predictions.

El Gofre May 19th, 2008 3:54 AM

You could put it in over the 2nd or 3rd slot, the other two are essential though.

Pinocchio May 19th, 2008 3:56 AM

Ok thanks for that Gofre.

RespectfullyDesired May 19th, 2008 6:34 AM

Can someone give me a moveset for Gardevior? thanks in advance.

252 HP / 48 Sp.A / 176 Sp.D / 32 Speed
Modest Nature
Trait : Trace
- Will-o-wisp
- Wish
- Psychic
- Focus Blast / Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball

Thunderbolt covers Gyarados and Skarmory; Focus Blast is a more instant solution for taking care of Weavile and Tyranitar, and it dents Heatran pretty badly; Shadow Ball helps against Azelf and other Psychics.

So ill leave the last slot for your decision.

Trace lets you wall flash fire, Volt absorb or Motor drive pokemon such as Heatran and electivire as none of them can 2hko you and allows you to switch into stuff much easier.

Will-o-wisp is a must on this as it often draws Pursuiters and physical attackers out so burn them on the switch in.

Wish to keep you healthy and support the team =)

Special Sweeper
Manectric-Petaya Berry/Life Orb-Timid

Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Hp-Grass/Ice
Substitute/ Other random Move

I like subbing down to Petaya and then sweeping. Or you could just go life orb.

Calm Mind isn't going to do much good without Wish.

Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Timid | Trace
< 56 HP, 252 SAtk, 200 Spd >
~ Psychic
~ Shadow Ball
~ Focus Blast
~ Thunderbolt

Hits 270/405, which outspeeds Adamant CS Heracross. It's really a novelty set, though.

True but to be honest I hate breeding the pokemon (too tedious!) not to mention I have not found a heart scale in ages >.<

By the way does anyone have a set for Clefable? (Strange choice I know but no softboiled plz as I cant get the tm!)

252 HP / 252 SP.DEF / 6 DEF
Calm Nature
Trait : magic Guard
- Wish
- Protect
- ice Beam / Seismic Toss
- Thunderwave

The most successful clefable ive ever used, "Blissey with weight loss".

You could consider Stealth Rock / Light Screen / Reflect if you already have T-Wave support.

Softboiled isnt a tm btw, its a tutor move from FR/LG and emerald.

You don't need Baton Pass to pass Wish. You just need to switch to another pokemon without it fainting.
[email protected]
Surf
Ice Beam/HP Electric
Ice Beam/HP Electric
Wish

HP Electric makes it able to hit Gyarados or counter it while Surf and Ice Beam is quite common.Wish since you're using a Wish passing set.

Milke May 20th, 2008 2:06 PM

Shouldn't that Vaporeon have toxic?

Crystal Shaymin May 20th, 2008 3:13 PM

could i get a set for a modest clefable?

tylerowicz May 20th, 2008 4:19 PM

hey heres 5 pokemon and its not really a team since its 5 pokemon, but would these pokemon work well? are the movesets good? the evs?? im just wondering. i tried making a thread tons of times but the mods never approve me :(

Ninjask @ Focus Sash
Impish
Speed Boost
EVs : HP 212 / DEF 128 / SP.DEF 170
Baton Pass
Protect
Substitute
Swords Dance

ya i know. ok no evs in speed. FINE he has 31 IVS in speed and he has Speed Boost. cmon he doesnt need the EVS Im not so sure bout the moveset
but essentially hell protect, get speed, then if i want or need protect or sub for more speed. if i do sub, and it lasts, do some sword dances, and maybe do protect again and BP/

Scizor @ Leftovers
Impish
Technician
EVs : HP 252 / SP.DEF 252 / DEF 6
Baton Pass
Swords Dance
Iron Defense
Hidden Power Grass

Well hell be using the speed and attack ninjask uses to stay alive and attack first, so he can iron defense for like 2-3 turns, max 4 if it doesnt max out. Swords dance i can use IF ninjask hasnt used it to its fullest potential, and had to baton pass due to almost dying

Espeon @ ???
Calm
Synchronize
EVs : HP 196 / SPEED 192 / SP.DEF 122
Baton Pass
Calm Mind
Substitute
Psychic

Espeon is like.. sorta a safety. Just to add some Sp.Def and while its at it, Sp.Atk, so its all adding up, ATK, DEF, SPEED, SP.ATK, SP.DEF and there.. a lot of great stats to baton pass to either my metagross, or my TTAR. and it will do both of them well!!
either one i can basically sweep with now!

Metagross @ Shell Bell
Adamant
Clear Body
EVs : HP 140 / ATK 252 / DEF 28 / SPEED 88
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
??? ive heard to put agility.. but i dunno.. like maybe i should incase ninjask dies.
Explosion

Physical Sweeper. Nuff said.

Tyranitar @ ???
Quiet
Sand Stream
EVs : HP 252 / SPEED 68 / SP.ATK 188
Focus Punch
Crunch
Thunderbolt
Substitute (Not really sure bout this one..)

Yea.. hes a special ttar.. HES UNIQUE!!

Azonic May 20th, 2008 4:24 PM

Ninjask wants an attacking move to do as a last resort or if its Taunted. It can do some stuff to Psychics. X-Scissor over Protect. Focus Sash and Substitute are terrible together, since one substitute makes Focus Sash useless.

From what I see, you're extremely Infernape-weak.

tylerowicz May 20th, 2008 4:36 PM

what would make this moveset good
what i really want is a baton passer to pass speed and attack (and if possible defense), and my metagross
the rest
who cares
and i dont know what to put in my team
its so confusing : (

Azonic May 20th, 2008 4:44 PM

Ninjask @ Leftovers
Trait: Adamant
Evs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
- X-Scissor
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass

tylerowicz May 20th, 2008 4:48 PM

what would be good pokemon to use with ninjask and metagross?

LOL!!!!

One of the most effective 3rd Gen SkarmBliss counters is unique now? What's next someone saying that Aromatherapy Blissey is unique

Anti May 20th, 2008 8:50 PM

Yeah, it's just standard Boah.

I want the set for Bulky DDmence as well. I've heard great things about it, so fire away =D

Hacker12 May 20th, 2008 9:52 PM

I'm gonna quote my last reply i just made:
Quote:

For in-game, the best team is:
>InsertAny6PokesHere<
Anything wins in-game, it's aimed at ages 3+ and has AI to match
Seriously, in-game is easy. I've just finished a restart using nothing but infernape and a couple of lvl 3 HM slaves. Just pick the pokes you like as you go along and level them up. If you can aim for super-effective hits every time you'll be fine with anything :)
