Samurai Blissey
haven't you ever noticed that blissey looks somewhat like a samurai warrior?
the shape of its body resembles the bulky armor while the ear fluffs on each side of its head extend much like the wartime horns on the helmet. the delegate fluffs that surround its arms and its lower abdomen region have a strange resemblance to the armor shafts that hang over the same areas of a samurai warrior's body. the oval egg on the center of its stomach is akin to the wartime armor boards that are fastened around their waists. and the eyes... yes the eyes. seeming so small to the whole masterpiece that is the physique of a samurai warrior as to leave the impression that there is no humanity in them. you see it now, don't you? http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/1755/242qm8.jpg...http://victorian.fortunecity.com/duchamp/410/samurai1b.gif from here on, Samurai Blissey shall be unveiled. Blissey @ Leftovers/Chople Berry Impish Nature 252 DEF/252 ATK/4 HP Ability: Serene Grace -Secret Power -Rock Smash/Aromatherapy -Rock Slide -Softboiled all enemies stand down. |
That's stupid. Of coourse, if Power Trick could be baton-passed
Now, Choice Band Samurai Blissey makes more sense. Take it away, Anti. Meh, I see a Viking Warrior. But I could sorta see the samurai resemblance. |
XD
well the main attraction is its 60% paralyze with Secret Power. it immediately paralyzes physical sweeper switchs ins. the other moves are just filler and part of the joke and could easily be replaced with blisseys usual options. the nature and the evs are also just part of the joke, but i like secret power as a surprising, yet annoying way to avoid the negative outcomes of twave and at the same time, ridding of focus sashes. but i'd seriously use the full 252 ATK variant to see how well i could get away with flinch hax on a gyarados LOL |
i think it could cause some surprising havoc even in a competitive team. yeah, 60% isn't much to rely on, but i'd rather have blissey paralyzing unsuspecting sweepers (and hell, even walls like skarm) in the early battle than have it wait out until it does its obvious stall job.
i play a lot of strange sets, but i also play standards, and i recognize that some standards are what they are for a reason. blissey is just up in the air to me, and that's why i think it should be doing a lot more than what it does now in the metagame. oh btw, i completely hate blissey XD |
Quote:
I like the idea of secret power, maybe play around with it with better support options than rock slide and you might have a set that actually functions well. But you're a n00b if you don't have physical attacks on Blissey anyways, so you better be off to do 8% to weavile with rock slide. Off you go! |
