Relicanth - only for real men
I like to use forgotten pokemon that no one expects. I was trying to find a sweeper that doesn't get OHKOed by everything - this is what I got:
Relicanth @ Leftovers Ability: Rock Head EVs: 30 HP/252 Atk/228 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Rock Polish - Waterfall - Earthquake - Head Smash 130 base defense means it can switch on physical attacks with ease, set up rock polish and proceed to sweep with 225 power no-recoil Head Smash. Speed EVs allow it to outspeed choice scarf Heracross after one rock polish. What do you think? |
I think Relicanth should have an option to have both traits at the same time.
Pretty awesome set. |
Yeah nice set, I used to have a cursing relicanth that ran off practically the same set.

Pretty solid set, nice work. =] |
I'm pretty sure that Relicanth is the standard moveset D: Gj on bringing it up though.
|
My ran a TrickRoom Relicanth once, and let me tell you that it absolutely rapes the entire metagame.
Oh and yes, that is the standard PolishCanth, good job. |
I'm planning to run this very soon once I get the Adamant I'm needing. It's very impressive to see and run, and I can't wait to use it.
|
i've wanted to run this set in several teams while developing them, but i just can't get over the fact that it is completely hideous, both front and back views. XD
|
Oh Samson and your impeccable spriting skills. Way too critical. Anyway, I recently discovered Relicanth and I have to admit I fell in love with it. I'm thinking of including it in my new team.
|
Try it with Sandstorm support. It should work well. It did for me.
|
Incidentally, both sandstorms and rain work well with Relicanth. For example.
http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpiconani/dpiconani369.gif @ Damp Rock; Swift Swim Adamant; 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP Stone Edge Waterfall Earthquake Rain Dance This is an alternative to the standard Rock Polish set, if your team doesn't like sandstorms. |
i much prefer the rain dance set myself. it's not going to be hard to find physical walls that resist head smash and the move's accuracy isn't the best.
|
Looks like a pretty good moveset, good job, and yeah, i think double edge would be a good substitute when you have run out of EQ's ingame or just don't ,like EQ. That would pwnerz the metagame :p
