Gengar is screwed by Dragon Claw anyways.

Infernape (♂) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 24 Atk / 232 Spd / 252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Flamethrower
- Close Combat

- Grass Knot

SDef EVs? O_o Grass Knot so Bulky Waters don't laugh at you.

Articuno @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/64 Def/192 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Ice Beam
- Roar
- Roost

With 100 base Def, I like to make it able to take more than special hits.

Donphan (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/96 Atk/162 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Rest

Fine.

Swampert (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Avalanche
- Curse

What is SR doing on a Cursepert? O_o

Magnezone @ Life Orb
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 88 HP/86 Atk/84 Spd/252 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
- Substitute
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Sub + Life Orb is going to add up pretty darn quick.

please help

Decent team. Opposing Mixapes toast you. Really bad. Garchomp is your only real Defense against it, and it would take sacrificing one of your pokemon to let it come in. Gyarados is also a problem, especially ice fasng variants that OHKO Garchomp.

But it isn't. Don't give bad advice. That is only hurting the thread starter.

luke January 1st, 2008 12:43 PM

Yes ktn. No need to give that sort of advice.

And Anti, that's the standard Skarmbliss killer. That's what I run and it does perfectly fine.

You mean Magnezone?

If so, that set has never really worked on me or for me to be honest. I've always found Magnet Rise to be better for the set, since it usually isn't blissey that is after Maggy. I usually get a fast EQer and I like to be prepared for that.

Meaning I don't like sub on that set, the damage has always added up too quickly for me to the point where it hasn't been very useful.

evilcheese January 1st, 2008 12:54 PM

the only reason why swampert has stealth rock is because i dont have another spiker. the other option is that i give donphan stealth rock or if i change the set on swampert. hes suppose to be a tank

You don't need a SRer. Seriously, I've done fine for years without spikes and SR.

You have to choose a swampert set and go with it. You can't combine sets for pokemon like Swampert.

If you want it to SR, it should be the Swampert that is menat to be a lead. I don't know the set though.

luke January 1st, 2008 12:56 PM

Well you switch Magnezone into a Pokemon you know will switch, set up a Substitute, and then strike with whatever works best. It also works well with Wish support to make up for the residual damage.

Ah, wish Support. I guess I should probably try it out with that :P But just to point out this team had no wish support.

Donphan...Magnezone...

I would call that good enough Ice coverage.

Crunch on Scarfchomp sucks, gives you nothing more than what your other 3 moves cover. Fire fang will allow you actually inflict damage on the likes of Bronzong and skarmory.

evilcheese January 1st, 2008 1:08 PM

ok fire fang it is. should i go outrage on chomp?

Anti January 1st, 2008 1:12 PM

Yeah, I see that a lot these days, but it's just bait for steels to lol at you. Still, a good option nonetheless.

Still, you really need some backup for Garchomp, as it is the counter for most of the stuff your team fears. Watch out for heracross, as it pretty much destroys your team.

Basically, if Garchomp falls, you're in some serious trouble.

Chomp wants Fire Blast or Forry and Skarm will come in and epically wall you.#

Yes Outrage always on Scarf Chomp.

Eos Aduro January 1st, 2008 1:54 PM

My Forry got OHKOd once by a Chomp with Outrage, it was Sub, Swords Dance, Outrage, Fire Blast. Outrage is proably the better option.
